Totally. As much of a prick he is, he knows how to rile the media up and I found it hilarious what he did in the US senate. But yes, most definitely, he is a prick of the highest order.

Kowalski, I used to think the same thing about Vidal, but for the St Mirren game he was absolute murder. I don't want to chance him against a team that can actually score a couple against us. I agree with the comment re foster on Mcarthy for the game. Its what Foster does best, man marking the fuck out of a talented player.

I think its quite clear we don't have the strength in depth to be able to challenge for 2nd spot. However, we all know, we should have been 3rd by now or there abouts had we not thrown away a number of silly points. I think thats more the point that Kerr and probably A_L is making. Lets just hope they get our season on the tracks again by a win against Hamilton, I don't care what anyone says, our form has been shite (despite not losing many). We need to rectify this problem and start getting 3 points from games! COME ON YOU REDS!!

My thoughts exactly! But he strikes me as that kind of guy and its a reason why if Jimmy C left, I would hope he got offered the job and took up the opportunity!

This is one of the few things in this thread that makes sense! Foster and Duffers certainly are no Journeymen! -
Been ok mostly for me but everynow and then recently its been working really slowly. I had a runtime error early today but it seemed to pick up again after that. Whats with all this madness!?!
-
Don't quite agree with that. Our form has been non existent since we beat Celtic, despite not having lost many games since then. Anyway, He does come across quite well in interviews. Always sounds like he has a lot of desire and to be honest I think it comes across in his play, possibly a bit too much at times. Good to see he's trying though. Lets hope they can get this bogey off their backs! COME ON YOU REDS!

All sounds like good news. Fingers crossed the overhaul of our youth system will pay dividens with this crop of players and many more in the future. -
From BBC Gossip: Aberdeen midfielder Jamie Smith is on course to sign a new Pittodrie deal after finally recovering from long-term injury. (Various) As has been metioned before, if he stays fit, I have no problem at all with him staying, easily the best player at the club on his day. Keep is up Smith!

I think all semi's (in the Scottish Cup) are played at Hampden these days are they not? Only the CIS have sensible heads on their shoulders not to have them all played there.
-
What did you do with Stoney? Has his account been hacked? Speaking far too much sense
-
Oh how I miss the days of Bisco being in midfield but I do think our midfield is generally ok. Maybe gets bullied out of the game sometimes but the only real criticism I have is that they don't try to shoot far enough. I think McDonald is the only one who tries to shoot regularly. Mind you, even our strikers seem to be afraid of shooting at times.

Whilst I agree with what you are saying, I still felt that we should have won the game on Saturday. I do not have this "we have a devine right to beat lower league opposition etc...." but I just felt our team should have had the bottle and desire to preserve if not build upon the one goal advantage. But as you say, lower league teams are always going to be stubborn opposition for any SPL team and its no surprise that they gave us a tough game, I just wonder how much of it was brought upon ourselves. Anyway, we're still in the cup and hopefully we'll see ourselves in the semi and then the final against most probably, the orcs.

I think if we beat the Pars then we will make it to the final and win it Beating the filth in the final is our destiny

As padre says, there was some booing, and I didn't understand why. I didn't participate in it because I don't think they warranted it.

I thought we played better than we did on Tuesday and I actually thought we played some good football in the second half. It royally fucked me off that we let the lead go, but you just knew unless we got that vital second goal, something like that was going to happen. It is Aberdeen afterall. Great atmosphere, did anyone who wasn't sitting in the east stand get a photo of the display? I'm not overly confident we'll pump them at Pittodrie, but we should have enough to see them off. I hope at least. Great finish from Aluko as well! Finally, welcome back Jamie Smith, by fuck was it obvious that we've been missing him! I thought him and Aluko were playing well together, I just wished he'd shot rather than pass out wide on a few occassions. Still though, great to see him playing from the start!

Thats what I guess I was trying to alude to, that we still haven't replaced Mickey Hart, Anderson or to a certain degree, Esson. Ideally we'd win the cup and finish third but the latter is looking extremely unlikely but as I said, fourth isn't out of reach and we have to remember that it is a Europa League spot and I certainly wouldn't deem it a failure, should we win/reach the final of the cup. As you quite rightly mention, the lower we finish in the top 5, the less of a break the players get and the more likely they will pick up injuries. Though it is typical Aberdeen to not have their destiny in their own hands. Roll on the business end of the season
-
I'd agree with this. I do however, think 3rd is out of reach as of our failure to beat St. Midden. I just don't see how (as you quite rightly mentioned) the three combinations of us playing better, hearts and the arabs messing up big style is going to happen. We've missed so many opportunities, but as Jager has said, stranger things have happened. The summer is actually quite worrying as I don't want Seve to leave and providing Smith stays fit, I don't want him to leave either. We still need a left and right back and another right winger to "cover" Smith if he's injured.
-
Lets just hope they don't bottle it under the pressure/expectation! Hopefully it will be a great day out in a sea of red
-
Thats not good news. I thought they said yesterday he'd only be out for two weeks? Will be a big miss but at least it gives Wright or Maguire to show what they can do. Moreso Wright I feel.

Completely, it is a huge IF at the moment. The unpredicatability of everything is really frustrating, but I guess in a twisted way its exciting Anyway, just watched the Huns highlights, hilarious stuff. I wish they panned onto the orc crowds, would have been comedy viewing. Just wish we could win there, I really thought this would be the season as well. Spose it still could be
-
Could well have been. But it just looked like he'd given it as offside. I blame erm..... the rain
-
BBC highlights certainly didn't mention it being offside but we certainly thought so last night. The highlights actually looked ok, Wrights header looked even more impressive. I think the keeper flapping infront of Miller was probably why he didn't get it on target, though a striker should always anticipate that.
-
Completely agree with this. I think JMG will be more vociferous than ever then as there will be fence sitters who will be tired of all this. We really need to get through this game with a positive result! BB don't even mention bottling it! If they do, the backlash will be bigger than previous seasons.
