In or Out: Out Pre-match: My flat Location: My flat, though probably Hubbards to see the scores come in if I can be arsed/win on the horses Post-match: Flat, then possibly out later.

i.e. too logical and too practical. I think that this would be a fantastic idea tbh!

Of course our club in the grand scheme of things will survive, but I don't think it will do the team's confidence any good before such a game. Who it is against is irrelevant, it will create a negative atmosphere before a ball is even kicked. We know our team, they will buckle, and Butcher has Caley playing survival football, against which I have no faith in our team. As i've said, by all means, hold it after the game if the result goes badly, but holding it before the game is just ludicrous.
-
I think it is if it is a) going to embarass the club we support b) Have a negative impact on the team BEFORE a crucial game c) Actually achieve what you want it to. Either way, whichever stand point you are of, it is an important discussion to be had. JC is just fine

Just the problem is, who is

This is where my stand on the matter lies. I think he has to go, and voted the JMG. As most of you know, I don't label myself as a JMGer as they appear quite often single minded and have been so for a long time. The Dunfermline game was the final straw. I have lost faith in the team I love, lost a fuck load of passion (albeit temporarily I hope) and I just don't think he's the man to take us on. As you quite rightly point out BB, what he has done has been fantastic, I just don't think he can take us further than he already has. There are also signs that it maybe going backwards and I think its imperative that the club recognise this in the summer. WM brought in the right man at the right time, I hope he will do the same in the summer. Whilst economic factors and the current financial climate may dictate otherwise, I am hoping that the club will act as I fear for the long time future of our fanbase. The brand of football and constant let downs in the cups are costing us fans as more and more are turned away with their "investment" if you will. Thanks Mr Calderwood, but you've done all you can, please do what you wanted to do over Christmas and leave in the summer. P.s. finish strongly so someone will take you and we get compo, thanks

Clearly far too logical for the folk on Hat. Agree with Jute, I don't think many will bother turning up for the game especially if we get beat tomorrow.
-
Quite the artist aren't we But what I want to know is, do they have good pies?
-
How long did that take you to draw and scan in
-
Well I have no problem with them doing it after the game, but think its more ridiculous timing more than anything else. I just don't see what positive effect it will have. Whether or not it achieves anything even if they do go ahead with it remains to be seen.
-
As I said on the other thread. I don't think its a bad idea, but the idea of not only doing it before a match but before one of the most important games of the season? Ridiculous idea and will only serve to have a negative influence on the team. We dont need the press to laugh at us even more than they already do.
-
I might add, I think its a daft idea and won't be protrayed in the meeeja very well. I want him out, but in the summer. Doing this will only unsettle the team in what is a game we NEED to win.

Anyone just receive this email from AFChat (despite not even being a member there anymore!?!?)

EE: McGhee blasts Aberdeen FC fans for slating Jimmy
manc_don replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Mind your own business McGhee! -
Ooft! So does that mean everyone else gets bumped up one?
-
As has been mentioned on a couple of threads now, it has an air of consistency about it, do ok in the league but get pumped out of the cups. I want us to finish as high up the table as possible, but as much as I want JC to leave in the summer, I just don't see it happening. The board appear to be more or less happy with what he does, despite what the majority of fans think. On a positive note though, its sunny today

Chris Maguire scores winner for Scotland
manc_don replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Someone on MAD said there was a banner saying "Bebo is a legend" I hope the confidence he has gained from playing well for Scotland is transfered for the jersey of Aberdeen! -
Is it me or is that last picture got a kid that looks like he wants to kill him with some lazer vision or something!?!

Chris Maguire scores winner for Scotland

So what you're saying is, bebo should take our corners instead of Smith? -
Ach BigAl you cynical Auld Bastard Was going to ask the same thing though, Sweetchuck seems to know about our youth a fair bit.
-
A guy on MAD claimed that the club hadn't met his requirements with regards to the contract initially, however have since done so and apparently is as good as signed. So you are correct, he'll be off then But that aside, I think I am more pleased to hear that we are actually producing players that other clubs down south want etc....just a bit of positivity. As I said, hopefully he'll sign, just have to wait and see.

From SkySportsNews http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11781_5126565,00.html At least that sounds like there is something positive about Pittodrie! The fact that other clubs are interested in one of our youth players shows the club is going in the right direction in that department. Hopefully he'll sign a pro contract this summer and will actually fulfil the potential it is claimed he has!

Nail on the head. Pretty much what I was trying to say. I just hope WM does something about this over the summer.
-
Whilst I agree with you to an extent, i'm more agreeing with Mizer on this point. We've been humiliated everytime we've been in the cup. This doesn't happen on a regular basis to teams that should be competing to win trophies in these competitions. It just doesn't wash with me anymore. We need to stay united, but as JimmyJimmy says, as likely as JC is the man to take us to silverware, he's even more likely to lead us to an absolute embarassment. I'm not sure what the club will do, and as you quite rightly say, if they are going to sack him for another SPL manager, I wouldn't bother, but something needs to be done because this is pathetic now.
-
Very very long read, but as you quite rightly point out, says what he needed to say. It just makes me wonder though, could they have prepared for this earlier i.e. in the summer if they had an incling that this might happen? I'm not saying making a superstar signing or anything like that, but actual quality to the team. Maybe they thought they did, I don't know, but to me, the very problems we have seen this season, are the same problems that have been evident since queens park.
