  1. Completely agree. He just needs to stay focused. He's young and has time on his side still, he's not going to be a world beater but hell Anderson took his time in developing and look how well he served for us. Time is what he needs. As ST said, we can't keep letting these guys go and replacing them with dross.
  2. I think he's aluding to the fact that there are nice places in Yorkshire, that would mean he woudln't have to bide in the shitehole that is Burnley. But yeah I think its a shame we can't afford him. But oh well next...
  3. My thoughts exactly....
  4. According to Mad, he's been offered a new deal. Nothing mentioned on AFC yet though.
  5. Agree with you Ajja, I'm sure he was playing a fair bit when RKC were in the Eredivisie (season before last) but I found it really hard watching those highlights. Just header after clearance on and on again. There are better dutch defenders that we could afford.
  6. Wouldn't be a bad signing and at least its not worse than we have so I guess that would be a positive. Still got plenty more to sign and still awaiting the " big signing ". Do you think Mark Kerr will allow small fry like Kluivert to pose in the same picture?
  7. The one nil win at Tinkcastle 2 christmas's ago. That was magic from pre pub, game, post pub and then the walk home up Dalry road (into the Hearts fans ) in my santa suit getting suitable christmas greetings from Hearts fans Ho Ho Ho indeed it was.
  8. As much as I hate the bastard, I wouldn't mind us signing him up on the coaching side of things. I don't think he's quick enough now to continue playing though.
  9. I know I noticed that yesterday, quite amusing how far some people will go to see their name on the screen.
  10. I don't think the club listen to themselves some of the time, let alone us!
  11. Closing the top off though makes a hell of a lot more sense than closing off the bottom half! My one trip there last season and I couldn't believe how far away we were from the pitch. It was crap and sounded really shite on the highlights.
  12. We've had this conversation so many times, I really don't see why the club haven't realised this (or maybe i'm not surprised). They really should have the grading system back which would then allow them to test such a scheme. I am in no doubt whatsoever that having the fans closer to the pitch will bring a better atmosphere/give more support to the players. Its something that needs to be addressed. Also, surely it would look better on tv to have a " full stadium " than one thats sparcely populated?
  13. Doesn't help that you're moving even further from him sneckie
  14. Really? Thats poor show, You'd have thought they have the public resources to clean that sort of stuff up...unless we sort it out ourselves I mind going to the DOVO game and walking out of the station and we see some cunt in a Hun top. Honestly, its like a form of terrorism...oh wait
  15. Utrecht is a great city! But as we've agreed on, rock on Den Haag and Scheveningen - lots of nekkid ladies however you get a lot of old people doing it too Dutch trains are reliable as long as its not rush hour but they are still far more reliable than here! Stick to those three and you'll be more than fine!
  16. Haha who pished on your chips last night mate? Benji would be ok, Hammil, don't know how he did with Southampton with season. There are better players out there.
  17. You'd hope so, and don't want to put a downer on it, but I thought the very same, and we lost to Dovo getting abuse from Utrecht fans wasn't fun. However, it was great to see Barry Nicholson's first game against Volendam. Good days out in VERY random places!
  18. Up until last season, I don't think i'd seen Aberdeen lose in a competetive game at Pittodrie (inbred aside). Away wise I've seen us lose more than win, in fact I think its only been Hearts, Falkirk and Motherwell...thats a bit depressing.
  19. ahh so thats why we lost! I couldn't believe the roseburn was closed, damn pigs
  20. What kit? I never even knew we had a game that day...
  21. Arnhem is pretty much central to all those areas. Nice city as well, I don't go out east much so I couldn't give an accurate anaylsis But Arnhem is definitely the most central there, or even Utrecht. Really good night life and LOTS of nice girls Oldest coffeeshop in holland (alledgedly)
  22. Right, I spoke to my Dad the other day about train tickets. Basically, if anyone is there for 3 days or more, you can buy a ticket (from june onwards) that allows you to get the train anywhere for three separate days out of 7. They are unsure of the cost, but i think whatever Jager paid before, it won't be much more than that. Sorry my brain is a bit fried atm, so if it doesn't make sense i apologise.
  23. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. As we know, arguably our best player ever, but sometimes I think, to put it bluntly, he comes across as a knob. I'm not quite sure what he does (although I assume he's doing negotiations with players etc) but i'm not sure he is worth his extorsionate wage.
  24. Was listening to that last night, absolutely hilarious
  25. Welcome to yesterday Edinburgh don , see the previous page
