  1. Stand Free Ed, I completely understand why you are boycotting, however, I disagree it should be over this incident. As Kowalski said, it was on the letters page. The P&J shouldn't censor what has been written, despite how untruthful. I'm sure they know how well behaved Aberdeen fans were, everyone does. Just deluded bitter and twisted huns think otherwise, and I couldn't care less. We have the moral high ground on all levels. In fact, you could say it allows everyone to laugh at how stupid they really are. I'm sure it was included to spark a debate/response which it has. The P&J doesn't berate fans like the EE does.
  2. quite shocking that page really!
  3. Me and Londonscottish had this very conversation in Munich. Both said he would have made a huge difference on our season and would have provided the grit in midfield we needed...nice one Aberdeen
  4. time to sabotage the rail network then! Prevent them from coming in the first place
  5. I think that that is one of the major drawbacks of playing the SPL, you play each team a minimum of 3 times. It can only be so much fun which is why I can understand why players leave to play elsewhere. Of course they follow the money and it does seem that Miller may have thought about the long term future for a change. He couldn't keep going from one club to the next, wouldn't have been fair on his family. As Ajja said, most are not the smartest of people and will always be attracted by the extra decimal places and I suppose ambition generally doesn't come into it. We are not stable enough to be challenging for honours yet. But I think by signing some of our bigger players we're a step closer.
  6. How was Sone Aluko's goal against Bayern not there?!? That kid must have been dead chuffed to meet the both of them.
  7. Completely agree. I doubt they will be on very much more and won't command that big a fee. We just need someone that is a proven goalscorer (apart from Lovell). I'd imagine that league two is quite physical so its not like they should get bullied off the ball easily.
  8. Aye plays for Peterborough. Was league 2 top scorer with 29 followed by Mcgleish
  9. Ah yes, and after quickly looking, he's been shite this season. Scott Mcgleish on the other hand, 26 goals this season http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=5108
  10. Not got an opinion on him really, but it doesn't sound too promising when he has an injury. Its not like our "medical" staff are looking for work
  11. Stockport have had fairly decent strikers for the past two seasons. I think we should put in a cheeky wee bid for him. Is Jermain Easter still there?
  12. I know we've probably got a replacement for this position, but Yuri Cornelisse who plays for ADO is some player. Some of his passing is awesome. Though it said he's an attacker, seemed to play more of a play maker role. www.rtl.nl/(vm=/sport/rtlvoetbal/video/jupiler_league/)/system/video/html/components/sport/rtlvoetbal/miMedia/2008/week19/do_ado_-_vvv_internetsamenvatting.wmv_plain.xml EDIT: for some reason the link won't work, but if you copy and paste it all it does
  13. Is that not because "soccer" Football is a upper/middle class sport over there? Having been to Baseball in the states, they certainly knew how to rip the piss outta the opposition fans and players! I assumed this was more because it was more of a "peoples" sport. I can't remember if I stood for the anthem tho
  14. Because we know more than likely he won't be. As GS said, how many times has this happened? I mean, its the last game of the season, why not just let him rest for a bit longer and get a good pre season under his belt. We need him big time next season.
  15. I don't know why I'm surprised really We always knew he would do this. Why not follow logic though I mean, what a game to come back into!
  16. Christ why won't he just let him recover fully and get a good pre season under him? Surely its the logical thing to do?
  17. Ha ha I hope he does go to Dundee. My Dundee supporting mate gave me so much abuse because we had him in our squad.
  18. You could always use your trademark "neck huggïng/headlock" technique to embrace them
  19. I think Duff will be fine for a squad player. The occassions I've seen him play he's been one of the better players on the park (not hard granted but still). I would definitely like to see Maybury signed up permantely.
  20. Agreed, that Bertrand guy sounds utter mince. He's played near enough zero games for years!
  21. I would say the season for me has been one of enormous highs and drastic lows. I'm sure this has been said but I couldn't be bothered trawling through it all. Its odd, because there has been no middle ground with us this season where our luck got us through. Something which occured a lot in the previous seasons.
  22. http://www.thedandies.co.uk/messageboard/index.php?topic=3644.msg47674#new
  23. Finally some news. As has been said, he's played well this season and I'm glad to see that he's actually decided to stay (through his own choice or not). Hopefully we'll bring someone in who thinks on the same wavelength as him and we should be one step closer to getting a stronger team for next season.
  24. Not if you do it before September
  25. Just curious and pardon my ignorance, but who is a better manager full stop? How Anyone can claim that Paisley was a better manager is a bit of a mystery. Fergie has done MUCH more than him.
