I'd say nothing more than 200. Very few indeed. But I was happy to be there. Just in the wrong end I could have sworn they sung the simmy song as well. Only heard it go...who's that lying on the floor, looks like (i thought they said durrant) to me....

Wasn't that convinced with him today, a bit wasteful, and slipped a lot after doing the hard bit which was a shame. I still think we should keep him though. I wonder if the worry of his future is playing on his mind.

Just in from the game, decided last minute to go. Had to sit amongst the unwashed But We played quite well today. I have faith once more. Although I think Young should have been hooked at half time with Aluko coming on too late. I was write behind the severin shot and really had to bite my lip. So unlucky. Also, we really need to keep Miller. Get an intelligent striker alongside him, and we'll have no bother. The boys did well after last weeks shambles. Stand Free

I was going to goto the pub to watch it, but I think I'll find something better to do. Last thing I want to see is that scum celebrating around me.
-
Ah should have checked there first! But yeah, as I said, I thought it would be too good to be true.
-
According to the folk on Mad he's walked out on the club. Find that too good to be true considering he's named in the squad for tomorrow is he not?
-
If it was a choice out of Schmeichel or Szamultoulski, I would want the monk in goals everytime. I was very impressed with him. Was watching the Ado highlights, Postma wasn't in goals, I was quite impressed with his debutant.
-
Yeah it was Villa. Wouldn't be a bad signing. the people on mad were talking about Calderwood being on a flight to Amsterdam and watching the Ajax-Heracles Almelo game. A few in the Almelo team I think he could have been watching. Including a moderately experienced 39 year old

You are correct on all accounts. However, you and I both know what our manager is like. So it wouldn't surprise me if all three turned up. But until that happens I won't pay much attention to it.
-
Would love to see either of them at Pittodrie, however I think Schmeichel will fancy other options. I also don't think we'll be that adventurous and agree with BTR with who will most probably be the broom cupboard photo. Szamoltulksi certainly impressed me when I saw him, but just cna't see it happening sadly.

AFC Player of the season - Zander Diamond AFC Goal of the season - Mackie's goal against Dnipro Bounce of the season - Aluko/Walker goals against Munich Game of the season - Copenhagen AFC Cunt Award (who at the club is the biggest cunt?) - Severin for pretending to be a player and a captain And in other catagories SPL Cunt of the season - Walter Smith SPL Shitest player of the season - Macnamara Best grub award - Tyncastle hot dogs Best away boozer - Roseburn or Marienplatz! Though i'm not sure that counts as a boozer.

I voted for the same reasons as Jute, however, I do think its a mixture of the two. We need to get someone in to actually entice the fans back. Something needs to happen to give the whole club a lift.

We can do better, but we won't. The fact we've been linked with these muppets for so long says it all really. What a joke. Young was part of the worst Aberdeen team, the fact we took his brother back infuriated me. Granted he's done ok, and I expect nothing less from a squad player. But we're going to go backwards with players like this. Please let this be a joke AFC.

If you think thats funny, try this... McNamara can put Dons on road to recovery ‘GREAT PROFESSIONAL’ CAN HELP TEAM-MATES COPE WITH CUP DISAPPOINTMENT, SAYS CALDERWOOD By Michael Gannon Published: 16/04/2008 Resilient: Jackie McNamara is vital to Dons, says Calderwood More Pictures ABERDEEN manager Jimmy Calderwood believes Jackie McNamara has the strength of character to cope with personal criticism and help his team-mates deal with the anger of disillusioned supporters. Calderwood and his squad have come under fire after last weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final humiliation by Queen of the South. Several players have been singled out for criticism, including former Celtic captain McNamara, who was booed when he was substituted on Saturday and further vilified for running straight up the tunnel rather than take his place in the dugout. Calderwood believes the veteran defender’s vast experience in the game will be vital in helping others recover before Saturday’s SPL trip to Celtic Park. He said: “I don’t think the mood at the club has lightened yet. “What happened on Saturday is not something you get over quickly. “This week we will have to lift the players, but sometimes as a manager you need to be lifted as well, which can be difficult. “You are always going to get people criticising certain players or managers, but the players are big enough to handle it. They accept the praise when things are going well and, while I have not seen all of the criticism, it is part and parcel of the game and you have to take it when it comes. “The players have got to help each other. Jackie McNamara has massive experience which helps. “He has had a great career, but he has also had some huge disappointments. “He had some massive lows in his time at Celtic and the bad injury he suffered at Wolves was another disappointment for him but he came through it because he is a great professional. “You don’t have to worry about these types of players. Defeat and the criticism which comes with it hurts them, but there is a determination to come through it. “It is all about character and you learn things the hard way. “We cannot run away from the fact we deserved stick for the game. “We know we let ourselves and people down on Saturday, and it will take a long time to get over it. “But we have a hard game to prepare for on Saturday against Celtic and time will tell if it will be a good one for us.â€

Nicholson, Miller, Aluko & Walker - all leaving
manc_don replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I would say the north of england is full of friendly people. Always willing to help you, especially in Sheffield. But I agree, I wish Barry the best of luck. He's been a great servant to the club and I hope he enjoys the rest of his career, most likely at your southend's, swindons and the like. I do think he deserves to continue playing in the team as he's been one of the few to give a toss. Rest seve and play him alongside some youth who i'm sure could learn a thing or two from him. Again, good luck Barry, I will never forget that goal against Hearts -
As I've said before, this will be definitely be a season remembered as a "what if" season.
-
So you'll be the dons fan I met on the way to shitebrox earlier on in the year then!

Contract situation to be sorted out this week for 10 players

Right enough, I'd love to see Aluko and Walker for another season, but its nigh on improbable. -
Completely agree, when we actually play football (and believe it or not a we did do that a couple of times on saturday) it is great stuff to watch. But currently, we do not play football. We hoof it up the park with no apparent target.

Well I meant more players that are ours or have a more realistic chance (ie Maybury) of being so. -

Would have liked to have kept Nicholson and Miller, but out of that list, we only need/want Maybury to sign. The rest aren't even worthy of polishing Angus' boots. -
But is Seve even bloody compatible for Aberdeen!?!? I still think it was a ludicrous decision not to have him on the bench on sat. Heard the Foster thing on sunday. Good on him if true, so when will he be leaving then?
-
So whats that then Steven Pressley or some hasbeen like that? Do your job, whatever that maybe wm.

Lee Miller and Barry Nicholson in for contract talks next week
manc_don replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Nicholson and Miller were two of the better players on saturday, but when I read they were getting another 10 days, I thought it was a joke. As much as I am sad to see them both leaving and quite scared of the future without them, we need to blood some youngsters and not play these two. We have nothing to play for now and nothing to lose.
