I know, but, as I said, we need to consolidate from the back first and foremost. We've leaked far too many goals this season, and conceded easy sloppy goals. I just think from what I've seen of Maybury, he looks like what we need so I just want AFC to break the trend and be pro-active.

I was on Aberdeen mad earlier, and Maguire's dad actually came on. Its quite a good read and in response to his son running around like a fanny "aye, he runs like his mum"

Good on Maguire. Still needs to be loaned out. I think we all know he's good in his own age group, but there is a huge gap between that and the first XI. Going on loan will toughen him up a bit more and knock a bit of arrogance out of him, then we'll be able to judge.

That goal alone made the trip across worth it!

Completely agree As you said, its not Jimmy's fault we have a squad of this size, the board are unwilling to part with this cash. Why, we don't know, but thats the way it is. Coppels comments were interesting, however, "football is a funny game" and you never know what might happen, whose to say Reading couldn't have competed? I mean, we sure as hell held our own on meagre budget in comparison to ALL the team's we faced.

Totally agree, our bottom six games would be boring as hell, I would imagine sub 10000 attendances for all of them as well!
