  1. Thats a great word, perplexing But yes, but how many times have we kept the same defensive line up for any of those games? Sneckie, stranger things have happened
  2. See, I'd be tending to agree with you, but all these changes for changes sake means it will take a while for the team to actually get going. All depends on which Aberdeen team are told to turn up really. I'll still stand by 2-1 Aberdeen with Maguire scoring the first! Come on you reds!
  3. JC again, showing that he makes changes for changes sake. I guess we'll see at the end of the 90 how this has worked out. Don't think anybody performed badly on Thursday to deserve being dropped?
  4. Yes if we are to get up to triple figures this season, in defensive partnerships that is! Why has Aluko been dropped? I'm really unsure of how this is going to go now.
  5. Totally agree, pointless and unnecessary.
  6. I'm sorry, but do we want to qualify for europe again? I know Jamie should have done better with the first two, but he's better than Soutar. We should have shipped soutar out in Jan and got someone who is actually able to challenge him for the jersey. Although I think it shows that if you don't perform you get dropped, its pointless as we don't have the depth to do it and will ultimately cost us points.
  7. This game really is a must win now. 9th place, overtaken by the cunts in maroon. Come on you Reds! Lets get 6 points this week. We NEED them.
  8. Bet it will be Lovell and Mackie to start, which won't work as mackie hasn't got a clue, but lovell will get the blame and give jimmy the excuse not to play him again. Or am I being to cynical?
  9. It was quite scary. Not sure if I got a photo of that! Although I have some other photos of embarassment for London Scottish
  10. Can't disagree with whats being said. What a great Uefa journey we've had. I've been so proud to be a dons fan this season and going out to a team that has as much pedigree and power as Bayern is so far from embarassing its funny. We've played some fantastic teams and shown them up. Munich was my first away trip with the Dons and I certainly won't forget that anytime soon. Best birthday ever. So many memories, met some great people. Just glad my random trip back home actually worked! Thank you Aberdeen FC, the fans and especially the whole of Munich!
  11. I do think though, had mackie not missed such a golden opportunity (never said that before have we?...) who knows how the game could have gone. I'm sure we would have lost in the end, but we could have given them a run for their money again.
  12. Just be glad he forgot his duck tape and cabling! Mizer had a lot of love to give in Munich. Though not as much as Chimp
  13. Too right, we've enjoyed a good result against a Bayern team full of stars. What makes me even happier is that Toni still didn't score against us and he's still a cunt! I'm sure minijc was talking about away games in the league, rather than Uefa, but as you said, we can be proud and safely say we're unbeaten against bayern at home
  14. Exaxctly, we've all loved the Uefa cup run and wouldn't have swapped it for anything, but we all knew that it was just papering over the cracks. Now we'll see what JC is made of without having the Uefa cup as an excuse. Come on you reds!
  15. Who gives a shite about him anyway. Hadn't heard of him until I read his name in the program the other week.
  16. This was something I had been chatting to london scottish about after the game. I don't buy that excuse. How many games have they played extra in europe? Its not like we've been playing or trying to play teams off the park this season. They haven't looked interested, so in that, I would say that they haven't exerted any energy, why be tired? But I do agree, i'm glad we're out, though I think I'd rather be out of the scottish cup than the league, opportunity to play at hampden and win a trophy was so appealing to me. But oh well, beggers can't be choosers and all that. Now come on Aberdeen and lets get this league form sorted, if we're going to play in the champs league against bayern next season we need to start ticking
  17. Noticed that in the sun he was being criticised as not fullfilling his role as a striker. I.e squandering the best opportunity when the game was still in our hands. I agreed with them. Thought I have not seen the replay of THAT offside decision yet.
  18. Been saying this for the past few weeks, especially after last nights game, we need a solid holding midfielder. Step up Ferre Bodde again. This again comes down to the board not showing ambition or even the foresight of an inverstment for the future. He's having a cracking season at Swansea and would have been 50k well spent. Would have been very little in the long term.
  19. Having got back from Munich, all I can say is, I was so proud to be an Aberdeen fan yesterday. We were phenomenal. Best atmosphere, and yes I participated in the ole ole business, only to give a two fingers up to the lacklustre bayern fans and actually congratulate the team in getting as far as we did. Well done. I understand what you are saying BB, but as someone said, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, we weren't celebrating losing, just showing we sing irrespective of the result. Not sure if this makes sense but sleep deprivation definitely catching up with me! Stand Free.
  20. Definite yay from me. As SS said, better to prepare for the season by having a couple of real games rather than silly games that mean nothing to the players or the fans. Whether or not we're in that position come the end of the season, we will see.
  21. He always was a true professional. Good luck to him down there. I hope he raises a few eyebrows, for the right reasons of course.
  22. man, how I can't wait! gonna be the best day trip ever!
  23. I would think Sports Cafe is the only place you'll be able to get it, that or maybe Walkabout, but the beer is absolutely shite and watery there. Enjoy!
  24. Man, thats so farout!
  25. On the flip side, why bother building a new stadium and training facilities so that the team can play better? Its all necessary for general improvement. Building an Olympic size pool will increase the chances of them being able to host gala's and the like. Can only be good for the city.
