Europa league qualifier - dons vs NSI Runavik
manc_don replied to manc_don's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
They were truly brutal. Would be hard pressed to find a team worse than them. Regardless of the fact that they bet against themselves, I’m quite sure they were still that shite. -
I generally think it’s mainly your final point, we’re far too slow with the ball. It does seem like our players are quite static at times but I not sure if that’s just them or their instructions.
-
Be interesting to see if it was squad rotation or some get dropped altogether. Would be classic DM to drop Wright after scoring. The guy scores a good goal after some decent play, that’s what we should be trying to encourage. Seems like McGinn is possibly unlikely to feature due to injury, but that’s our only major doubt (apart from those already out). Anyway, this lot got pumped by hibs not that long ago so we really should have enough in the locker to see them off with a professional performance. Hopefully it’s just not boring as watching paint dry. Their form is a bit patchy of late, despite their 5-1 demolition of Barry town in the last round. Out bed work work 2-0 dons, Main and hedges
-
In theory it’s quite an attacking line up. Whether they’re allowed to play that way remains to be seen, but it’s an interesting line up to say the least.

As Ajja said in the chat, they own that competition. Mental how many times they've won it. Really enjoyable game. Certainly better than what the dons made me endure following the boys early wake up.
-
Nervous about playing Hoban but you make a good point TC, it could go at anytime. He's clearly the best defender at the club so we need to play him. Fuck knows who makes the team after that shambolic performance (despite 3 points). What's the deal with the players not passing to Hernandez? Seems odd, as I noticed it in the game.
-
Huge meh from me . On paper doesn't seem like he's what we need, but I'll be happily proven wrong. A few city fans seem to be gutted he's going but understood why he didn't get a game. So who knows. Welcome aboard.
-
Hopefully we actually have a striker by then

Said the same about Wright on fezbook and getting a hammering for it ? Guess some people just want to see what they want to see. Apparently it wasn't a horrific performance (it clearly was). Had that remained at 0-0 I'd have cursed being woken up early to watch that. nigh on 90 mins of eye bleeding shite. Thank fuck someone was willing to take a shot. Can't remember who it was (maybe McLennan) who got into a decent position and should have shot but passed it out wide. Kennedy put in a decent ball so i'm hoping it's a case of match fitness with him. Agreed with McCrorie, he pinged some nice passes that the team just didn't read / control, but hopefully with time that get's resolved. I'm cautiously optimistic about him as a signing. Hedges is a funny one. I'd be interested to see if he can maintain that level of performance from a starting position, or is he just a super sub? Wonder what changes will be made for Livi.

Wise move, we’re fucking honking. As well as anonymous

We haven’t used our ict feeder club links in a while. Route to success ?
-
Retard reporting that we're looking to have a striker in place ahead of today's game. Not sure if they're planning on picking someone on the drive down? ?
-
Game on Thursday, almost seems a bit of a side show with everything else going on
-
Not sure mate, doesn't seem to be happening to me, but that might be due to the mod rights. Does it happen all the time?
-
Very much agree with this. They stole the rat and now getting money? Fuck that.
-
Another CM, and a negative one at that (i.e. defensive). If he's being signed, presume it must be to play CB rather than in mid, as we have a fuck load of them. Someone has to be out the door, shirley? I do like Rico's last paragraph though, could be fun
-
Wouldn't hear any complaints from me with that, they deserve it.
-
As if we didn't already know it, this season is going to be a hard slog.
-
Thankfully the opposition don't (thank god as they'd have leaked it to the press). But the govt are trying to trace the source. Latest theory is from some frozen fish that the husband may have handled at the cold storage place ? And aye, they're like weegies ? I've often compared Auckland / Wellington to Glasgow / Edinburgh mentality. Although slightly less arsehole behaviour from Wellingtonians.
-
Apologies, Rico. It was probably more tongue in cheek from me re: Aucklanders. I don't particularly like their attitudes nor their city, but them being the biggest population centre, it's not really surprising. Regardless, the opposition, who have been in complete turmoil (on their third leader who is famous for leaking info and dirty politics) and haven't a clue what they're talking about. If they actually STFU, they'd be more helpful to the cause. Really hoping that the govt are able to find the cause of this and we keep the lockdown to Auckland only. We've seen how inaction (a la Melbourne) so i'm glad they're acted swiftly. Our economy will bounce back, as it did. Definitely better to go all out than a softly approach imo.
-
That's us in NZ going up a level. Auckland ruining it for everyone (unsurprisingly). Someone (and not the govt) isn't telling the truth. A family of four tested positive for the virus and didn't have any links to border staff or travel. They have to have known someone working at one of the quarantine facilities or indeed one of the selfish pricks that had gone to visit people at them. Auckland in a 3 day (likely longer) lockdown, with the rest of the country at level 2 and to practice social distancing again. Unsurprisingly, the tory opposition are up in arms. They've taken a hammering over the course of this as they've been shown to be economically driven and heartless.
-
A mate of mine was really hoping we'd sign him, but your final sentence was why we probably wouldn't sign him. Very much a Hibs player.

Still can’t believe the aftermath of that explosion. Truly horrific. Seems like the authorities are going to have a good few riots on their hands. Just mental that you would think it sensible to store something so explosive near a population centre. -
The post I saw had an article dated from Feb. I'm going to hold passing judgement until it comes from the club.
