I believe so, but I still think he was wrong for the role. The cast itself was great. But don't have an Italian playing an Irishman, they look and act completely different. I love de Niro, but didn't feel it was right for the film imo.

I had one issue with this. Why was de Niro cast? He's got Italian heritage and even looks Italian throughout the whole film?!? Wasn't he supposed to be Yankee Irish? It was a great film, but I think they got the casting wrong.

Have started watching the reprisal, apparently came out on 6th December but tvnz seems to have the whole first season. Watch 3 episodes so far, pretty good.
