  1. To be honest, I'd probably still stick with Cosgrove. He's the only striker have who scores goals. Would be lunacy to his money from him for a left back. It's not an either or situation imo. We would still need both and i'd hope that the club knew this.
  2. Definitely the best appointment they could have made, will be interesting to see how he fares with the blazers at the RFA.
  3. Thing is though, DM doesn't exactly have a great track record with replacing strikers. Yes he's cumbersome, I mean look at his second ish touch for his goal on Sunday. Fuck me, lucky to get another chance at it, but the most important stats is goals scored. I don't think we can afford to have a sluggish start like we did this season with our strikers. Unless it's silly money and the replacement is guaranteed goals, better the devil you know. He's still incredibly young.
  4. We'll never know what he was actually capable of for us, shame. He'll do well for them I think.
  5. Good for Shinnie to be able to end his dons career with back to back wins. A shame that desire and quality wasn't necessarily there throughout the whole season. Killie deserve their 3rd place finish, played the better football for the most part. Interestingly enough, according to someone on twitter (need to check later) we're still 2 points better off than any other non DM side over the past 25 years. Although we do now need to hope that Hearts continue to be shite and lose to septic in the cup final. Big summer ahead. I hope DM freshens up his ideas or we're going to fall further behind the pack. Whilst we got to finals this season, we didn't compete in them at all. I can accept finishing third if we're at least challenging in the finals.
  6. Catch 22. Loved the book, watched the first episode directed by George Clooney. Hilarious viewing, although the wife wasnt too keen. Also started the second series of deep state. Loved it the first time round and its not disappointing this time round either
  7. Seriously!?!? How and why?
  8. Rory McCardle had an excellent career at Bradford prior to that. Saw him play them against Millwall actually. Always struck me as a likeable guy Superb effort Scotfree!
  9. Looks like the Arabs have nailed it
  10. Anyone go to this? Seemed like a decent turnout
  11. Keep it up mate
  12. Bump If rumours are to be believed and Clarke is announced as Scotland manager next week, this could play into our hands. Regardless, we still need to win. But hopefully pre match pressers etc will be about Scotland and unsettle the club.
  13. Can disagree with any of that tbh. Haven't had much to celebrate this season but they've provided some of the good times.
  14. That maybe so, but it's a discussion point. Personally, I found a lot of it hard to believe. As Ayrshire_don says, a signing like Dom Ball isn't going to help us win a trophy nor entice fans. The whole club needs a freshening up. The fans are bored of the same old signings. The right words, but I doubt they'll be followed up by the right actions.
  15. Agree with that. Mental amount of consistency from both teams this season, but the drama and their first title surely must be hard to beat.
  16. Why hasn't someone posted this? https://www.afc.co.uk/2019/05/15/afc-the-journey-accomplishments-aspirations-and-way-ahead/?fbclid=IwAR02Xu2ba_mwBGBoZ0Y4nFOVd_0vYKiIdQ6KXSqkzkSxdhNqWyOQLCg_hCc
  17. How are you getting on MBT?
  18. https://www.aberdeenperformingarts.com/whats-on/all-shows/in-conversation-with-willie-miller/2153 You'll have to put up with Graham Spiers, but a night with Willie Miller. A few tickets left apparently.
  19. Stripes on the side is different. Don't think i mind it, but I do like chevron pattern on the shirt itself. Sharp. I always regretted not buying the one from a couple of seasons back. One of my favourite kits of recent time was a similar one with the original badge on it. Possibly the first Saltire one?
  20. So it all goes down to the wire. Don't like to have to rely on another team, let alone the huns to see us guaranteed european qualifiers. Killie are more than able to give them a game, and us? Well, despite our decent form down there, we're threadbare. Fortunately even if super joe is injured, we've got a more than able replacement. They've nothing really to play for, so hopefully that works in our favour, but we need to go all out for the win. Anything less will see us fail. If Stewart does one thing in his time with us, I hope it's to push us for another season of european qualifier football. Pittodrie deserves it. Out Bed Bed Bed 2-1 Dons, Cosgrove and Wilson
  21. Whilst the dhims had nothing to play for (apart form pride), their fans must be concerned how little they offered. Pathetic really, but I guess this is what they always wanted. A resurgent hunnery whilst still winning the league Guess Liverpool fans will have to wait another year to see if indeed, it will be their year.
  22. Not ideal having to rely on someone else for us to get the desired result. But we've only ourselves to blame courtesy of that horrific home form.
  23. Sorry, I meant to add from what I saw in the second half. Hearts were horrific, but we weren't doing much. Can't comment on the first half.
  24. Good goal to win it. A draw would probably have been fair but I'll take the 3 points! Nice for shinnie to end his Pittodrie career with a win
  25. Haha yasssssss. Great goal
