  1. Got back in from the stag in time to catch some of the first half, well, until Red TV decided to have technical issues. Watched the full highlights this morning in a hangover haze, can't say it eased it all. We weren't great, but the game itself was pretty poor. Connor did well for the second goal, not sure how he managed to weave through. Stewart didn't look interested at all, how he lasted the game is beyond me. Important 3 points, especially with Killie getting a result. Hopefully the huns lose today.
  2. Absolutely. I don't think it's done and dusted, tyrant. You've the easier run in, although some of the man United fans I know would prefer to let City have the title than your mob. Purely because you haven't ever won the Premier league. Few twists left I reckon, could make for an exciting end of season.
  3. Last game before the semi next weekend, so really need to build upon the good result against Motherwell. They're in pretty dire form themselves, with no win since mid feb. Given shinnie's absence in the semi, do we try the system we'll be forced to play against the tims? We still need 3 points, each game is a must win to ensure we're not caught. Out Stag Bed Bed 2-0 dons, Cosgrove and McGinn
  4. The stands seemed reasonably busy, apart from the upper rds and away end, but it's hard to tell on TV. But not sure it was that full
  5. I'd agree with that, Shinnie was a beast in midfield today, and i'd actually forgotten he'd be missing for the semi Huge 3 points, can't believe it's taken us this long to get our first home win of 2019. Was also surprised by the crowd, over 13k which was impressive given what redtv were describing the earlier weather and the apathy around the club at the mo.
  6. Superb finish from McGinn for the third! Thank fuck for that, a home win!
  7. Stewart with the shot and McGinn pounces on the rebound. Thank fuck, let's not screw this up now.
  8. Shite second half so far
  9. Easy equaliser for 'Well, but it was a composed finish too. We started really well, although neither team were really able to hold possession
  10. Waiting for this to come out over here. Enjoyed the previous series. Started watching the OA on Netflix, bizarre series that i'm not sure about yet, but interesting nonetheless. Looking forward to stranger things / handmaids tale and of GOT coming out this year.
  11. Sorry, only just seen this thread. I've not got much experience in pre-fab homes and only ever heard / seen results of the huf-haus - which seemed to be extremely expensive and not necessarily to everyone's tastes. https://www.huf-haus.com/en-uk/ Quite a few CLT homes went up in London and it's a technology I've worked with, in commercial buildings. It's brilliant. Heb house looks quite interesting. Building your own home takes a lot of effort and determination, I know a friend who is embarking on it on the isle of Skye somewhere, but i don't think he's in a rush. Have you had many discussions with pre-fab home suppliers, or indeed engaged an architect to suss out your options? Would be interesting to know how much user input could be put into their process. From my experience here when we were working on a pre-fab project, our client seemed relatively limited. I.e. they had a box and the bespoke design came from the size / cladding.
  12. Thought you might. Must have enjoyed watching the spurs OG going in the other day?
  13. It goes without saying, despite my prediction, we really need to win this one. We could be quite fortunate in that hibs and hearts are playing killie and the huns respectively. But as Jute said, a week and half before the semi against the dhims, we really need to find some confidence. Shame we're playing at home this week.
  14. Mate of mine watching said cazorla was incredible. Surprising given his age and injury history
  15. I think May has forgotten how to be a striker, but he was doing a job and getting the best out of Cosgrove. Can't see much positive coming from this game, we'll be lucky to get a draw, especially given our horrific home form. Will try to catch some of it, handy having midweek games, good for the time zone! Out Bed Work Work 1-3, Lowe 8,905
  16. Linked with the huns today, dare I say it, he'd do well there as I'm sure they'd deploy him correctly again. For one reason or another, he doesn't fit out club and deek has no idea how to get the best of him.
  17. That's quite depressing, I didn't actually think I was being too optimistic at the start of the season
  18. Haha right you are, I could have sworn I read it as restaurants in Aberdeen. Fuck knows where I read that though
  19. I'd say the race for fourth is on tc, dont think we have tactical know how or quality to finish higher. I wonder if milne would accept a 6th place finish or dm will do the right thing and piss off this summer? Apathy is huge amongst our support these days.
  20. Seemed like an odd amount to invest I thought, but we need money and those are the type that can provide it.
  21. Off to Cuba Dupa here in Wellington today. Usually a street party with loads of street performers, stalls and stages, but due to lack of police numbers post Christchurch shooting, they've had to bring it to venues instead. Organisers were in a lose - lose situation imo. Although, I don't think anything would have happened, they'd have been castigated if something had. Especially after the festival last week where they had to evacuate after a guy was behaving suspiciously.

    Films

Watched Captain Marvel last night. Enjoyable film. I think my one criticism was that they should have had someone other than an attractive blonde white american playing the role. I get that's what the character was based on, but how about moving with the times?
  23. We're pretty blessed for restaurants here in Welly. For a small city, the percentage of good quality restaurants is really good. Maybe we should change the thread title to encompass everywhere?
  24. As TC mentioned in the fitba thread, anything but a win is making life very difficult for ourselves tomorrow. Probably the worst place to have to go and try to get a win mind. They're expecting a big crowd for the rugby, so imagine the local boozers will be busy.
