Tough one and I've changed my mind on it everytime I've seen it. Was it a red by the rules and relative to other decisions nowadays? Yes. Should a tackle like that be a red card offence in football? Dunno.
If he goes in like that and misses the ball and takes the player it's a red and nobody is complaining. He got the ball but you still have to say it was a dangerous tackle.
I'm watching a stream.
He cleared the ball with a header and took his own player out too. The player went off to get treatment as he was bleeding.
He then collided with his own keeper a few mins later.
oh 1-0 Oldham btw, and deserved lead.
edit: 1-1
Fack all tonight. Maybe get a stream of the Liverpool game.
Not much tomorrow. Soccer Sat/listen to our game then watch the NFL playoffs.
Sunday watch the FA cup matches, got a dinner then watching the NFL playoffs.
Yes I'm skint.
Called this.
Over the last 3 matches he has pulled out of so many 50-50 70-30 tackles I knew he had a move lined up and was no longer committed.
Stewart is owe me £1 (or was it double-or-quits on the Michael Hart goalscorer bet?)
Terry's case being dealt with by the police would suggest that case is being treated far more seriously and he will get the same or harsher punishment from the FA once they are allowed to deal with it.
At the time I thought it was a penalty but not so sure now I've seen it on TV.
At the time I had no idea why they were claiming it was their throw but think it was a United throw-in after seeing on TV.
Sky sports News just showed Arnassons goal and it will be on again after the break with the others.
In the running for their Goal of the Day. Further out than I realised.
It's a Mark Wotte suggestion. He reckons Scotland is letting good players drop "out of the system" when they hit 20 as they can no longer play U19 football and might not be ready for the first team but are not far off.
The intention is that it will be players 20-23 playing with the u19's to continue their development, not particularly to give Darren Mackie a game.
