  1. That'll be why he's still on trial then. What's upset you so much?
  2. Only surprise there is Ahmed not being offered anything, but I was impressed by Folly at Peterhead so him and Hendrie would mean there is less need for Ahmed. Hopefully they get Williams and Hendrie tied up on deals soon. The longer this drags on the more it starts to look like Reda Johnson.
  3. Players all had a day off today before travelling down to the training camp in England tomorrow. Hendrie is meeting up with the rest of the squad there.
  4. I'm waiting for broom cupboard photos first.
  5. He's signed for Mansfield already. Just more AFC-hat shite. I would be happy with Killen but am thinking his wages might be a sticking point.
  6. In McGhees comments tonight he mentions having a plan to try and get both Hartley and Hendrie (in terms of finances). Would Mackies exclusion from Sunday and tonight, despite no injuries mentioned, point to him going out the door and freeing up another wage?
  7. That's the impression I got from his 2 appearances at the weekend, although others seemed to rate him (and Okus!).
  8. Langfield Basey McArdle Diamond Ifil Ahmed Fyvie Hendrie Paton Maguire Williams Basey and Williams in the same side is a strange one.
  9. Gary McDonald
  10. This would be a very poor signing.
  11. We actually played really well in the 2nd half. Megginson was really impressive and scored a great goal and calls into question why we even signed Magennis. He was very poor again today. Folly played well and I would like to see us sign him. Williams again looked solid again and Ahmed was also impressive. Basey was alrite but I would rather we went for Williams as a first choice left back. Okus shouldnt be signed as he was awful. Seemed like he wanted too much time on the ball each time he had it. Ryan Jack at right back was also good and didn't look out of place even though I think he's more of a midfielder. Fyvie coming on in the 2nd half meant our midfield controlled the game and we were passing it around really well. Players always making runs and looking for the ball. Clark Robertson was back at left wing and also impressed. It was a good run into the box from him which won the penalty for the 2nd. Out of the trialists we should be looking to sign Williams and Folly and perhaps be looking at Ahmed and Smith if they are on low enough wages.
  12. Was the train station in Munich not quite a distance from the stadium? People didnt seem to be bothered there. What sort of transport is available to Inverness' ground? Folk seem to have that down as one of the top away days so it must be at a city centre stadium or one with a direct train/monorail link, yeh?
  13. Not too worried about the result. It was clear that this was Fraserburgh biggest game of the season and their players were flying in. Foster and Mackie took exception to some of the hard tackles going in. For our players it was much more about fitness and getting through the game uninjured, which is fair enough in the first pre-season friendly. It's the games in England we should be looking for the good performances to start in.
  14. I was fairly impressed with Robbie Williams at left back and Jeff Smith in the 2nd half put in a couple of good deliveries and a cracking goal. Ahmed started nervy but looked more comfortable as the game went on. Wouldnt say he was particularly good though. Foley didnt make much of an impact but is a defensive midfielder ever going to make an impact? Okus was very poor. Wouldnt even play him tomorrow. Basey didnt seem to be in the game much, hopefully see more of him tomorrow. Magennis was a bit gash but so was Paton and Mackie missed a sitter in the first half. Shaughnessy looked fairly comfortable but I wouldnt expect him to feature much in the first team this season. Shocking stuff from Lanfgield for their first goal.

  16. Well I suppose we'll see how they play at the weekend, but I can see it being like Hull where a few will impress but we'll only be able to afford one and he'll turn out to be shite
  17. No harm in giving him a trial. Might be familiar to McGhee from the English lower leagues.
  18. 3rd place and a Scottish Cup Final
  19. Made his first appearance on the Cardiff bench as a goalkeeper and only changed to striker 2 years ago!
  20. AFC don't run the shop. Next.
  21. That would be more down to the fact that we have far less players currently under contract and so there's more of the budget freed up, rather than the budget being bigger.
  22. but what did the groundsman have for lunch?
  23. Thinking about this. Folk basing themselves in Frankfurt?
  24. Says 3pm on afc.co.uk
  25. Is this the focus of AFC marketing? Coming on a forum full of people who already see most of the stuff on the website.
