If we lose he'll be slated for not being there. If we win he'll be slated for not being needed.
-
He's one of those players who gets mentioned whenever we are on a signing spree, only now that his brother is back they have ecome more frequent. I wouldn't worry about it till it happens, this has to be about the 6th or 7th time he's apparently signed in the last 4 years.
-
Well that's you're view. They have there's.
-
Well I guess we've got the first 3 then:

He was happy to sign a 2 year deal on a high wage. If he doesn't want to fulfil that for whatever reasons then should he not have to buy out his own contract? If we wanted to break the contract we'd have had to have paid him off, surely it works both ways.
-
Speak to his family about what? Is he getting his salary while he's having a chat to the wife instead of doing what he's paid for?
-
Well he's nae playing today, don't think he's on the bench either.
-
Where is the squad for tomorrow? If you mean the one on the BBC page, they just put all the available players there. Doesn't give any indication as to whether he actually traveled or not.
-
Well I hope McNamara has a hefty savings account to buy himself out of his contract with us. I'm still not convinced by it all. I suppose we'll get a good indication if he's in the team tomorrow.
-
^ Thats a rumour from afc-chat. I think he'll be playing tomorrow.

Nicholson, Miller, Aluko & Walker - all leaving
Penfold replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Langfield Maybury Diamond Considine Foster JDV Touzani Walker Young Mackie Maguire till the end of the season would do. Giving Walker some games is the only way we'll be able to convince Boro to let us keep him and Jimmy has already said he can't play him and Severin together, so win-win situation. -

They both must be dropped now. Get Mackie and Maguire playing together as we just may be stuck with them as a partnership for next season. -
The whole club is going to be a bit down till the end of the season. About the only thing that could lift the fans right now is for Miller and/or Nicholson to sign new deals, or for us to sign up someone on a pre-contract. All the focus for the next 5 matches will be next season, and I see no point in playing Bus, Lovell, Souter etc. if they are not going to be around next season. The only reason I would continue to play Miller, Nicholson and Maybury is because I would actually want them to stay, and freezing them out isn't going to help convince them. In saying that though, do we actually have any youth players who we can chuck in for a few games? In order to stop season ticket sales dropping too much, we need some transfer activity early this summer (and I don't mean random dutch folk or ex-pars). In the last few years we've gone into the start of the season still looking for players, and picking up the scraps. We can't afford to do that this summer.

I'm in D3 apparently.

That's the funniest thing with all this talk of protests and banners. All their efforts are being put into trying to get Romanov to "sort it out", not to get him out, because even they know they'd be up shit creek. I'm lovin' it.

95 Coca Cola Cup Final, which was when I was 9. Can remember the day well, passing all the Dundee supporters buses on the way down, sitting in the North Stand about in line with the goal-line where Duncan Shearer ear-ed it in just after half time. I still have it on VHS somewhere, might give it a watch. Worst was in the same season, the Scottish Cup semi where we lost to Hearts. Don't remember much about the match, just that I was gutted.
-
At this stage, games played are: Aberdeen 48 Celtic 46 Rangers 53 For the rest of the season: Aberdeen will play at least 55 and at most 56 (Sco Cup Final) Celtic will play 54 Rangers will play at least 64 and at most 69 (Sco Cup Semi and Final, and Uefa Cup Semis and Final)

Aberdeen v Falkirk MOVED TO MONDAY 7TH APRIL
Penfold replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I'm fairly sure we don't actually get any extra money for having our matches on Setanta. The tv money each team gets is purely based on league position and not the amount of matches of theirs are on. Or at least thats what I am led to believe. -
At least Gretna "lived the dream" while pissing away money. Hearts have gone backwards.

How far have have you travelled to watch the Dons this season?
Penfold replied to TheChimp's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Do you wave flags and bang a drum at matches? If not then you've got a bit to go to be the top red. -

Both ways? Using the site in the first post Dundee - Edinburgh is only 30 odd miles, but on the aa route planner site it's just over 60. That's why I used it instead for the domestic ones.
