Finally got round to watching Gangs of New York which I sky plussed in December 2009. Decent enough film, the last 25 minutes was both unexpected and quite harrowing. Seemed a bit on the long side though...
  3. I heard Alex Ferguson was looking to put Macheda wherever he would get most games. Probably not here then, we have Bebo.
  4. I don't really care, but if since I have been asked to give an opinion one way or another, I would not put it up on my wall...
  5. Unlike the Daily Hun to be wrong but... http://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/index.asp?tm=2&nid=3129&cd=2009&cd1=1# He still has another year. Would expect him to go for reasonable money this summer. Gomis and Conway are both out of contract for them this summer so would expect them to go on the cheap in January or free in summer...
  6. Capaldi long throw. It is just like a corner...

Broken Sword is a blast from the past. Spent many an hour playing it on my Playstation. Epic it was...
  8. Didn't watch the Old Firm game. Never do, over-rated shite. Chelsea v Villa game was fairly entertaining though.
  9. Get what?
  10. Present...
  11. In/oot: In I hope, still not worked out how I get to the game from Ellon tomorrow. Hope to hitch a lift off someone. Prematch: Ellon, hungover. Match: RDU Postmatch: Back to flat in Aberdeen, to bed. Prediction: 2-1
  12. You are the boring one MT...
  13. Everyone agrees that he isn't the player he was, but we shouldn't be blinded by that (like you are). Again, you come off with your holier than thou attitude to judging players' ability though. Out of interest, how many games have you been to this season to make that judgement? Who in our squad should be there before him? Is his contribution so little in your opinion that a central midfielder should be top of our shopping list? When our managers disagree and when the majority of support turning up week in week out disagree then yes, you are wrong and appear to be attention seeking with "controversial" opinions again.
  14. MT, do you realise that you have yet to find one person to actually agree with you on Hartley yet in this thread?! You are talking absolute rubbish.
  15. Did he? I couldn't help but notice him this season so far...
  16. "A talisman? I don't know what that means!" Dear, oh dear. Sounds like the right kind of noises, hopefully he can do reasonably well in his last 5 months here. He may finally be realising he is not quite as good as he thinks he is, and hopefully can just resort to keeping it simple for the rest of the season. Not a chance he will take the paycut I would imagine it would require him to stay though, so as I said above, hope he can be solid for the remaining 5 months and then he can head off for a payday somewhere down south...
  17. Liverpool fans I have spoken to, or seen on other forums seem to have Kyrgiakos as your most consistent performer this year. Pretty much sums up the state of Liverpool at the current time...
  18. Same game as me...
  19. I wouldn't mind seeing him play as part of a front 2 if Maguire is putting in more consistent performances on the wing. I think a lot of his better performances when he first arrived and we were all raving about him involved him playing more off the striker of an advanced winger, rather than trying to utilise him as a left midfielder having to try and protect our current "full backs." It was something I didn't quite get about McGhee's utilisation of him as well. Everyone and their granny knows that Aluko doesn't offer a great deal defensively and seems to shirk the responsibility at times. Now, surely, he should be getting trained to do more in this respect, and being informed throughout the match if he is struggling. I did not get the constant starting and dropping of him because he was not offering anything in this aspect. If you want someone to do that, learn from your prior mistakes.... I think everyone agrees that Aluko on his day offers us something very few others in our squad can and hopefully in the next 5 months we get to see some of that...
  20. Doesn't contribute at all?! That is just a ridiculous statement. He doesn't contribute as much of as when he was at his best at Hearts, or his slightly less able but still very able at Celtic, but to question that he contributes less than any of the alternatives we currently have is stupid. He certainly contributes more than Young would there, and he still offers more than Jack looks like he could just now, so he should 100% be in the team when he is fit. Also, even if Aberdeen could find someone just now who could offer more in an attacking sense than Hartley does, it is nowhere near our most important area to sort, with all wide positions within the squad being problem areas at the current time. EDIT: To correct bad quotage...
  21. Dalglish...
  22. Quite a tentative game. A few half chances, but nothing to write home about (apart from an Imrie free-kick well saved by Langers). Vuja off injured so Ifil on, which ain't ideal. Think it has 0-0 or a 1-0 (no idea what way) written over it...
  23. Not sure what to expect from this one. Hamilton have not played in a month, so not sure whether that will have them raring to go or completely off the boil. Avoiding defeat is preferable, but hopefully we can pick up all 3 points, giving us a bit more breathing space and optimism going in to the new year. 2-1. Magennis and Hartley.
  24. Actually might add a construcitve comment. Good news, hopefully he can get back to fitness asap as we need all hands on deck, even if the hands aren't all that good...
  25. Don't you knox? Everyone else knoxs...
