  1. It's never a great sign when a young player goes on loan at a level down and doesn't set the heather alight. Not necessarily the end of the road but you'd really want these boys to be shining in the championship to be reassured they've got what it takes to excel for us.
  2. Good to see super Kev in amongst it after he had a hard time not so long ago.
  3. Good old rob McLean’s sorted out the bbc live reporter’s obvious errors
  4. What’s going on here? Just put it on before our game against the jutes and they’ve shown a table where we’ve got zero points even though we’ve won a game?!
  5. What a season.
  6. Quite impressive. Though if you find Aberdeen Ole repetitive…
  7. Thanks for laying all that out. Aligns with how Republican-voting associates I have in California feel. A follow-up question if I may? Do you reckon the Dems managed to fuck all that up so spectacularly in just four years? Or is there a chance that this shit storm was coming anyway and they were "unlucky" enough to be in the hot seat? It's not a million miles away from how a lot of people feel the UK has been or is going and that was under the Tories, so not exactly a liberal minded government.

  9. Superb. Fucking superb.
  10. Correction: 22 (TWENTY TWO) clear of these fuckers with a game in hand? And it’s still, still only October?
  11. Just checking: 19 (NINETEEN) clear of these fuckers with a game in hand? And it's still only October?
  12. I'm not convinced that the "big money" offers will be there for McGrath. He's spent his entire career - barring four appearances - in the League of Ireland and Scotland and although he's having a good season so far, I don't see Celtic or anyone bigger than Aberdeen being all that interested. Possibly wishful thinking but if we continue to make progress under Jimmy and can offer McGrath an upgraded contract then I don't see why he wouldn't re-sign.
  13. He's on his way to Marseille apparently...
  14. Would Jack, shinnie and McLean have been in a squad together?
  15. Due a call up tmrw apparently, strangely enough after not being very good on Sunday. Been a wee while since we last had three players in a Scotland squad.
  16. Gueye out for 14 weeks. Real shame for the guy after such a strong start to the season. At least we've got Clarkson to come in, although it'll be a different threat that he provides in between McGrath and Keskinen.
  17. It's a "shame" Saints don't have access to whatever super duper stats system the BBC say Hearts are going to use to pick their new manager. Apparently it's going to have them challenging Celtic according to the story yesterday
  18. Consi did fine in his Scotland appearances so hopefully Devlin can do similar if he gets on the pitch.
  19. He didn't get in, despite Conway being injured. There had been chat that Dykes might be injured as well but he's one of three strikers included, which is fair enough.
  20. Scotland return for our boy Kev likely today?
  21. MacDonald's all the player he'll ever be, while Rubezic has miles of room to grow and already appears to have done quite a bit of that since last season. On that basis it's Ruby in the team every day of the week for me (and Jimmy) with MacDonald being a competent backup for both Ruby and Malloy.
  22. 10/10
  23. You can see it being the only place the players can pick up similar wages to the ones the daft Huns were paying them but Christ knows what’s in it for the clubs.
  24. Promotion to League A or whatever it's called is coming back to bite us in the short term, as predicted. We've done alright in both games but been undone by individual errors that teams at this level punish. Certainly last night was a different game to Thursday but in both we've at least been competitive. Had we been playing lesser teams then who knows, we could be sitting with six points from six. This "season" of the Nations League has to be about gaining further experience of playing teams at this level, which is why it's so good to see kids like Hanley, Ralston and McLean getting good game time.
  25. The two things aren't mutually exclusive though. If he screws the nut and gets his career back on track, that will be good for us this season even if he was to leave on a free next summer. That's better than no Duk or fat Duk stinking the place out for nine months.
