Trump now talking about running Venezuela on an interim basis and “helping” open up their vast oil fields. Guaranteed these rights are handed out to Trumps friends in the U.S. by whichever puppet he instals. Wonder when Maduro gets Epsteined. At least we know what Trump was getting from Putin for selling out Ukraine.

Senegal 3-1 winners over Sudan in early game. Mali beat Tunisia on penalties in second game. Mali down to 10 from half way through the first half. Tunisia looked liked they had won it in last minute of normal time only for Mali to be awarded a soft penalty (a recurring theme in AFCON this year) in 6th minute of injury time to make it 1-1 and take it to extra time. No goals in extra time and on to penalties which Mali managed to win 3-2 by missing less.

Almeda and Mowbray were both in place for summer window. They should also be in firing line.

That was awful beaten by a piss poor Falkirk team. We were lacking all over the field. So many players miles off it. Some playing poorly but others because they are nowhere near the required standard. Switching to 4 at the back didn’t produce the results we were all hoping. Thelin chucking some of players under bus does make me think it’s a question of time before he walks or is fired. One thing I would say is the recruitment team should be sharing the blame for this with Thelin. They have brought in a number of players over the summer who are clearly not good enough and if/when Thelin goes they should go with him.

Fucking freezing in the Capital but no snow. Falkirk supposed to be similar.

I suspect blinlemon is referring to the fact there have been regular protests outside a hotel in Falkirk by concerned locals/racist cunts for a number of months now. Seem to be a particularly vile bunch from the photos on line although from the number of Hun tops in the photographs I doubt many of these knuckle dragging fucknuggets will be at game on Saturday.

I thought Armstrong has been poor last couple of games and having Marshall back would allow us to maybe rest him but think you might be right that it is unlikely we will go with two 19 year olds in midfield. I am not sure Kjartensson fits being in a two in midfield as he lacks pace. As has been discussed already looks to me like he might be more suited to a deep lying role in front of a back 4.

24 hours and no signings. Can we panic yet. Joking aside thought we might have at least recalled Marshall from Arbroath at start of window.
-
And didn’t get one as finished 0-0. Enjoyable watch though.

Sunderland giving as good as they get against Manchester City. End to end game. All that’s missing is a goal.
-
Just to be cold down here although the carpets can freeze quicker than grass allegedly so that might be more of a threat than snow.

Entire coaching team at all levels of football sacked as well. Thinking someone in the government lost a fortune on them.

I was going to say English Championship is footballing equivalent of methadone.
-
Maresca paying for them winning club World Cup in July. Players have looked shattered and picked up a lot of injuries which could be argued came from playing so many games in the summer.
-
English Championship and Premiership games today but yes a day without football has me sitting in the corner mumbling to myself by midday.
-
No games until Saturday when the round of 16 starts with Senegal v Sudan at 4pm and Mali v Tunisia at 7pm.

Great finish to group F. At one stage in first half Mozambique were top of the group and Ivory Coast third then Cameroon equalised putting them top. Second half Cameroon went ahead putting them clear. Then Ivory Coast got the finger out scored 3 and won the group. Mozambique 1-2 Cameroon Gabon 2-3 Ivory Coast

Equatorial Guinea 1-3 Algeria sees Algeria win the group. Burkina Faso seal second beating Sudan 2-0. Sudan finish as one of best 3rd place teams.

Nah it’s non football so in the right place. Despite my own pessimism 9ers are defying the injuries and now go into this weekends game with possibility of being number 1 seed. With the Super Bowl in Santa Clara gives them chance of playing run of home games all the way. As it is I don’t think 9ers will make it all the way as defence just has too many injuries and gives up too many points. As someone once said defence wins Championships. NFC West is wildly strong this season Rams are third on 11-5 record which would have them top of every other division in the NFC.

Hunbos getting their business in January started early.

Did you have to start this already as was hoping for a couple of days of not thinking about having to think about watching this steaming pile of shite.

Last of the group games today. First up are Group E at 4pm Equatorial Guinea v Algeria Sudan v Burkina Faso Algeria have won the group already as they have head to head over Sudan and Burkina Faso. Sudan and Burkina Faso are already through as they have head to head on Equatorial Guinea so just final placings of 2nd or 3rd to sort. 7pm games are last in Group F Gabon v Ivory Coast Mozambique v Cameroon Only final placings to be decided in this group as Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Mozambique are all already through. If Ivory Coast need a win and keep goal difference advantage over Cameroon to win the Group. Cameroon need to either win by 1 more goal than Ivory Coast or hope Ivory Coast don’t win to win the group. Mozambique need to beat Cameroon and hope Gabon get at least a draw again Ivory Coast for them to win the group.

Tunisia and Tanzania drew 1-1 which sees both teams through while Nigeria win the group beating Uganda 3-1. Second set of games saw Senegal beat Benin 3-0 and DR Congo beat Botswana by same score line. Senegal win group on goal difference from DR Congo. Benin get one of best 3rd places.

If he has a great season at Motherwell then more likely he gets a bigger job than us though so you would have to question his judgement and ambition if he did come to us.
