  1. McCrorie was only suspended for the St Johnstone game and would have been back yesterday. We battered United the last game but couldn’t put the ball in the net due to a mixture of bad finishing and United keeper making some great saves. Not sure we will create as many chances this time around. McInnes hinted that Wright might be back for this but not sure he should be risked on a pitch that is likely to be brick hard. Oot Flat TV Flat 1-0 Cosgrove pen.
  2. Rumours on that he is signing for Atlanta in the next week or so. Looking more like a money laundering or tax scam with every passing day.
  3. I get the impression there is with Arbroath as it allows players to still train full time with club. Not sure there is a plan for style of play however.
  4. One result from tonight Dundonald Bluebell 1-3 Queens Park AET.
  5. Less than two days before the game and no game thread. Waiting for some weak excuse about bairns’ first Christmas excuse from Manc. McCrorie will be back for this one so expect him to come in for Campbell. Desperately need McGinn to be fit to give us some creativity and allow Main to be stuck on the bench. Been very disappointed with Kennedy for last few games and need him to step as at the moment a shadow of the player who was at St Johnstone. If we repeat the performance from Saturday I think we will struggle against Livingston. Early start on Wednesday with a 4pm kick off. Livingston charged Hibs £20 for their PPV so might be sticking to radio if this is repeated. Oot Flat Flat Flat 1-1 Cosgrove pen.

    Snowing heavily in Leith tonight.
  7. 2nd round draw Dons come in the next round.
  8. First round results Albion Rovers 0-3 Buckie Berwick 0-3 Stirling Albion Bonnyrigg P-P Bo'ness Brechin 2-3 Linlithgow Camelon A-A Brora (abandoned 0-0 at HT) Cowdenbeath 2-0 Wick Edinburgh City 3-1 Caledonian Braves Elgin 4-0 Civil SS Gala 1-2 Annan Haddington 1-2 Formartine Huntly P-P Cumbernauld Keith 4-2 Hill of Beath (aet - FT 2-2) Kelty 2-1 Jeanfield LTHV 0-3 Banks o'Dee Nairn 0-0 Broxburn (aet - 4-3p) Rothes 1-3 Fraserburgh Stenhousemuir 4-1 Preston Stranraer 5-0 Spartans Tranent 4-1 East Stirlingshire
  9. Ethan Ross with a double for Rovers today. Anderson came off the bench at Ayr but didn’t get a goal again. Virtanen started for Arbroath and Ruth came off the bench.
  10. Better 2nd half performance and nice finish by Taylor for the winner but still needed a good save from Joe at the end to keep 3 points.
  11. 1-1 not sure it was a penalty (okay it wasn’t ) and totally against run of play but take it.
  12. 1-0 down and it had been coming. St Johnstone player was completely unmarked at back post from set piece. Easy header into the ground and over Joe. Our front pairing offering zero especially Main who is utter shite again.
  13. Thought I had posted this earlier but didn’t work. As Tup says was not impressed with Cosgrove and Main partnership on Wednesday so surprised we are sticking with it. Not sure if there is anyone to create in the middle with this team.
  14. Motherwell’s 3-0 wins reversed as Killie and St Mirren have appealed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55433000 Puts Motherwell down to 10th which means we now have had run of games against 5 of the bottom 6 only winning 2.
  15. The regression back to the eye bleedingly bad style of football we played for most of the last 18 months has been alarming. Even with Wright back fit I am not convinced Cosgrove, Main or Edmundson are capable of playing in the system we had in September and October. As Manc says above hoping it is Campbell in for the suspended McCrorie and not Ojo. Would be tempted to play McGinn instead of McLennan in the middle but given he didn’t get on last night assuming he is not fit as game was crying out for him. Oot Getting over hangover TV Working on getting another hangover 2-1 Hedges and Ferguson for Dons.
  16. Football we are playing has got a lot worse since he and Wright got injured. Need to bring in another striker as Edmundson, Main and Cosgrove are all very similar and don’t fit the style we were playing in September and October. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dean-holden-confirms-marley-watkins-4829674
  17. Disappointing result against a team that are in a poor run. Dropping to many points against teams like Motherwell, St Mirren and Hamilton. Really should be winning games against these teams.
  18. Been awful 2nd half. Cosgrove and Main upfront has been as shite as expected.
  19. Not convinced a Main and Cosgrove pairing is going to be particularly productive.
  20. Very comfortable for first half hour but only 1 real chance which Main missed from 3 yards. Motherwell came into it a bit more last 15 but without working Joe.
  21. Boost that Hoban is fit.
  22. Just in case anyone missed it this is an 18:15 kick off tonight.
  23. There were a few studies initially that said no more injuries than grass but there have been a some in the US now suggesting that long term use of the plastic pitches does lead to more knee and hip issues in young players. John Spencer said that when he was manager of Portland he noticed that the recovery time of players was significantly longer when they were training on the synthetic pitches.
  24. We train on similar surfaces at Westhill.
