  1. Hamstring injury and out until start of September.
  2. I believe BSC have tried to get an arrangement with Warriors but have not been able to make any head way. Number of teams have come across to senior non league football in the West so loads to choose from.
  3. Manchester City have Champions league ban overturned but have to pay €10m fine. Suspect owners with have that in spare change somewhere. ETA: Guessing that’s UEFAs financial fair play in the bin.
  4. Dons played first preseason game today at Cormack Park v County. Dons were 2-0 up with Bruce Anderson netting a double but finished 2-2.
  5. Stunned that we got an offer of that level especially given current financial situation most teams round Europe will be in. Can’t blame the lad for turning it down if the story about only getting 24hours to decide is correct but bit shit for club as would have gone a long way to plugging any financial gap.
  6. Suspect not.
  7. Article from guardian about rumours. Definitely something odd going on. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jul/03/wigan-athletic-lawyers-appointed-to-investigate-collapse-of-club
  8. Fleetwood players mimicking their manager will a completely undisciplined thuggish performance against Wycombe tonight. Two red cards in a 1-4 home defeat in play off semi final tonight. First Red was for a knee high studs up challenge in the box the second for two yellows in space of 30 seconds. First for diving second for dissent. Could easily had another player sent off but half time whistle probably saved him and sensibly he did not return for second half. Barton clearly has his players well drilled.
  9. Hearts and Thistle’s legal challenge thrown out but there is now an arbitration process. No idea what that means for if they are relegated yet. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53251721
  10. Jason Leitch said only yesterday that it was highly unlikely that their would be any fans before October which contradicts what club are saying. Not sure that this isn’t anything other than a poor attempt to sell more season tickets. If however if we are getting 7,500 fans back how will it work. Got to assume that they will have to be socially distanced so no chance you will have a full Merkland for example which means fans will probably not be sitting in the area they bought their season ticket for. How will they decide who sits where. Will they need to open top of RDS again?
  11. SSN were reporting earlier that Wigan’s new owners had only completed purchase of club 4 weeks ago and not put a penny in since which has driven them under.
  12. Steve “the umbrella” McLaren linked with Arabs vacancy. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-mcclaren-holds-dundee-united-22267678 Wonder if he will do a fake Dundee accent.
  13. According to Blair it was clubs who have indicated they wanted groups to stay.
  14. Iain Blair (who does SPFL fixtures) was on Radio yesterday saying 2019/20 cup was to be completed before November. League cup is being played and I was surprised to hear with the group stages being maintained. Thought they might have reverted back to knockout for next season to reduce pressure on fixtures.
  15. Liverpool champions in England after Chelsea beat Man City. Some performance this season from Liverpool only losing 1 game.
  16. Middlesbrough sack Jonathan Woodgate and replace him with the dinosaur that is Neil Warnock. Will probably keep them up though.
  17. Hopefully with a full preseason with the team he will be able get off to a flyer when season starts.
  18. Going for a manager with a track record for escaping the championship would be my guess.
  19. Some of the games have been okay but not the same without the crowd. Definitely takes away from the overall experience. Think no crowds even effects players as do not think any of the close doors games have been played with the same intensity as they were pre COVID.
  20. I am sure Cormack said on the radio that they did not expect play in front of fans until January when he was originally interviewed near the start of this. Would expect most clubs to be in a similar if not worse position.
  21. That will see Kaiserslautern automatically relegated to Regionella so must be bad. I know there was some issue with local council and the stadium a while back and danger of them not getting a license for this season.
  22. Being reported in the Hun (I know) that we have offered Hayes a two year deal.
  23. BT Sport have had crowd noise on Bundesliga games this week and have said it will be a option for EPL games next week.
  24. Oh how I have missed watching football. Final game of the day is Real Mallorca v Barcelona. Not the same without fans but better than nothing.
  25. Andy Considine voted fans and players player of the year. Goal of the season was Ferguson v St Mirren in cup and young player of the year was Dean Campbell.
