  1. Thought we were comfortable without really excelling tonight. Thought McGinn was best Dons player. Ferguson took goal well and looked better than he has for a while. Bryson rolled his ankle and was taken off as a precaution according to McInnes on radio after the game.
  2. Hate going to this two sided dump with their plastic carpet. We never play well here. Would expect Bryson and Ferguson to return to midfield. No idea why Hedges has missed last 2 but would have him in for McLennan and Wilson or Anderson in for Gallagher. However what McInnes will do is anyone’s guess. If we want to finish least shit of the rest then need to be winning next 3. In Lift from Capital Away end Lift back to Capital 2-0 McGinn and Hedges.
  3. Shankland with winner for Arabs again.
  4. We were supposed to be speaking to O'Neill prior to last international break. Seems a bit odd to say the least if we are only acting on this now.
  5. Would love to think we would go at them like we went after Motherwell but just cannot see McInnes changing the habit of a life time and expect us to sit in with us inevitably losing when someone makes a mistake at the back. Not paying £50 for train so giving Sunday a miss might watch on tv. Oot Flat Flat Flat 0-3 no Dons scorer.
  6. Seriously considered staying in the pub when I saw the team and did not see that one coming. Joe’s penalty save was massive. 1-0 down after 5 minutes would have been disastrous I suspect. Great team performance. Leigh was outstanding in midfield and has to play there next week. Team looked far more comfortable playing the ball on the ground. Scored 3 cracking goals and should have had at least a couple more.
  7. 3rd round draw Auchinleck Talbot v Arbroath Stranraer v Dunfermline Athletic Dumbarton v Forfar Athletic Raith Rovers v Peterhead Elgin City v Alloa Athletic Greenock Morton v Brora Rangers Gala Fairydean Rovers/Formartine Utd v East Kilbride Partick Thistle v Penicuik Athletic/Stenhousemuir Fort William/Albion Rovers v Airdrie Queen of the South v Queen's Park Edinburgh City v Brechin City/Annan Athletic Stirling Albion v Clyde East Fife v BSC Glasgow/Lochee Utd Linlithgow Rose v Falkirk Inverurie Loco Works v Broxburn Athletic/Cowdenbeath Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic v Montrose Dons in in the next round.
  8. 6 defenders against Motherwell!
  9. SSN saying both Wilson and Gleeson in contention to play today. Would like to see us going 4-4-2 today with Wilson up front beside Cosgrove and Gleeson in beside Campbell in midfield. Hedges and McGinn in the wide positions. Back 4 would like to see Considine keeping his place beside McKenna but can see McInnes going with Devlin and McKenna with Considine going to left back. Main thing is we have to stop the long ball shit and get back to playing the ball on the ground. In Train then beers Away end Train back to capital 1-1 Wilson
  10. Interesting to see that Jack was sacked with a record of P74 W39 D25 L10. Really not that bad a record especially given they had to rebuild a team in his first season.
  11. Jack Ross punted by Sunderland. Wonder if they would come back in for McInnes.
  12. Should have taken the train up this morning being cancelled as being a sign and just went to the independence march instead. Abysmal game of football between two piss poor teams. Thought we robbed Hibs today and we could have had no complaint if we had lost 3-1 today. Thought both red cards were correct at the time. Might change my mind when I see them on tv. Main is a truly awful footballer. I have no idea what possessed McInness to sign him. I wish I had the will power to stop going as getting absolutely no enjoyment from watching us just now.
  13. Ah missed that.
  14. Not seen anything to suggest any of the long term absentees will be back so other than Considine in for Vyner I cannot see there being many changes to the line up for Saturday. I would like to see us going with an extra forward and play Anderson up beside Cosgrove but just cannot see McInnes changing from 1 up hoofball we have been playing. Hibs seem to have steadied the ship a little so this could be a harder game than it would have been a few weeks ago. If it was not for the fact I have a season ticket I would not be going to this as most of the games I have been to this season have been brutal to watch due to our style of play and I cannot see it being any differnet on Saturday. In Train then few beers in town Y Quick beer then train back to capital 1-1 Cosgrove penalty for Dons
  15. Surprised that Matt Phillips is not in the squad as thought he was one of the few who played well in last series of games.
  16. Full squad as Manc is to lazy to put it up. Goalkeepers: Craig MacGillivray (Portsmouth), David Marshall (Wigan Athletic), Jon McLaughlin (Sunderland) Defenders: Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Michael Devlin (Aberdeen), Grant Hanley (Norwich City), Charlie Mulgrew (Wigan Athletic), Stephen O'Donnell (Kilmarnock), Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday), Andrew Robertson (Liverpool), Greg Taylor (Celtic) Midfielders: Ryan Christie (Celtic), John Fleck (Sheffield United), Ryan Jack (Rangers), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Callum McGregor (Celtic), Kenny McLean (Norwich City), Scott McTominay (Manchester United), Robert Snodgrass (West Ham) Forwards: Oliver Burke (Alaves), James Forrest (Celtic), Ryan Fraser (AFC Bournemouth), Oliver McBurnie (Sheffield United), Johnny Russell (Sporting Kansas City), Lawrence Shankland (Dundee United) As has been said Devlin being picked ahead of Considine is odd. Good to see Shankland being called up but on the whole the squad looks really shite and can only see a defeat in Russia. Will at least beat San Marino at home.
  17. Vyner in for Considine who drops out of team completely so got to assume he is injured.
  18. Team pretty much picks itself as we are running out of fit players. I have the fear we are going to take a real doing on Saturday. Oot - fuck paying £32 to watch Scottish football Flat local game probably Civil Service Strollers v Edinburgh Uni in the lowalnd league Flat 4-0 no dons scorer.
  19. We were better than Saturday but that was not hard. We created very little and other than the penalties I can think of only one other shot at goal in the 90 minutes despite having most of the ball. It’s simply not good enough. Worst of all we have been knocked out by a shite Hearts side. Why we tried to see the game out by going to 5 at the back is beyond me.
  20. U21 squad for games against Lithuania home and Czech Republic away. Robby McCrorie (Queen of the South)+ Ross Doohan (Ayr United)++ Kieran Wright (Rangers) Daniel Harvie (Ayr United) Tom McIntyre(Reading) Ross McCrorie (Portsmouth)+ Ryan Porteous (Hibernian) George Johnston (Feyenoord) Patrick Reading (Middlesbrough) Tom McIntyre (Reading) Barry Maguire (Motherwell) Lewis Ferguson (Aberdeen) Allan Campbell (Motherwell) Kyle Magennis (St Mirren) Billy Gilmour (Chelsea) (PS) Lewis Smith (Hamilton Academical) Jordan Holsgrove (CD Atletico Baleares)+++ Stephen Kelly (Ayr United)+ (PS) Glenn Middleton (Hibernian) Michael Johnston (Celtic) Connor McLennan (Aberdeen) Fraser Hornby (KV Kortrijk)++++ James Scott (Motherwell)
  21. Only changes I can see are Cosgrove in for Main and Logan in for Vyner. We looked slightly better at the back on Saturday when Logan came on. Cannot see there being any change to our hoofball approach and after watching Hearts yesterday they will have the exact same approach. Can be see it being a long painful evening that might go all the way to penalties. In Work then pub Away end Back to Flat 0-1 no Dons scorer
  22. 23. 1st Round Results Kelty Hearts 0v3 Auchinleck Talbot Buckie Thistle 4v1 Civil Service Strollers Fraserburgh 0v1 Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic Nairn County 0v0 Clachnacuddin Linlithgow Rose 1v0 Huntly Edinburgh University 1v3 Lochee United Cumbernauld Colts 1v5 Penicuik Athletic Gretna 2008 1v0 Hill Of Beath Hawthorn Dalbeattie Star 1v3 Gala Fairydean Rovers Spartans 1v1 Deveronvale Turriff United 1v5 Formartine United Keith 2v3 University of Stirling Caledonian Braves 3v4 Rothes Inverurie Loco Works 3v2 Wick Academy Broxburn Athletic 3v2 East Stirlingshire Fort William 5v0 Vale of Leithen Forres Mechanics 1v4 Banks O Dee Strathspey Thistle 2v1 Lossiemouth
  24. Different players but the same long ball shite again. We robbed Livingston today and as others have said if they had a decent striker we would have lost by three or 4 and could have had no complaint. Fact we are third is a reflection of how shite the league is nothing else. Not sure how much longer I can sit through shite like that.
  25. Don't doubt Hoban is a good player but has now done the cruciate in both knees, had surgery on his shoulder and ankles in the last few years I just do not think he is worth wasting a squad place on. Even on a pay as you play type deal.
