  1. Draw for the play offs is Friday. Apparently we will know who we are playing and if we are at home or away for the final after that all though not quite sure even UEFA understand how this whole play off thing is going to work.
  2. Last night the Spurs fans were saying that they did not want Pochettino sacked and definitely did not want Mourinho or his brand of football coming in. Massive gamble by Spurs board as if this does not work quickly can see their being a lot of empty seats at their expensive new stadium.
  3. Bryson is supposed to be back for this one so would expect him to come back in. County are the worst team I have seen us play in the league this season so should be looking to win this comfortably however as I am travelling 4 hours on the train to get to the game you can guarantee we will make a tit of it. Supposedly a big Dons support heading up. In Ridiculously early train then beers in Inverness and Dingwall Away end Beers then train back to Capital. 3-0 Cosgrove (pen) Hedges and McGinn.
  4. Squad for Cyprus and Kazakhstan games. Goalkeepers Craig MacGillivray (Portsmouth) David Marshall (Wigan Athletic) Jon McLaughlin (Sunderland) Defenders Liam Cooper (Leeds United) Michael Devlin (Aberdeen) Declan Gallagher (Motherwell) Scott McKenna (Aberdeen) Stephen O’Donnell (Kilmarnock) Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday) Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) Greg Taylor (Celtic) Midfielders Stuart Armstrong (Southampton) Ryan Christie (Celtic) John Fleck (Sheffield United) Ryan Jack (Rangers) John McGinn (Aston Villa) Callum McGregor (Celtic) Kenny McLean (Norwich City) Scott McTominay (Manchester United) Forwards Oliver Burke (Alaves)* James Forrest (Celtic) Ryan Fraser (AFC Bournemouth) Oliver McBurnie (Sheffield United) Steven Naismith (Hearts) Lawrence Shankland (Dundee United)
  5. Headingbottom sacked by Hibs.
  6. Good win but didn’t think we played that well. Main looked good but have to to put that into perspective of him being up against make shift centre backs in a woeful looking Killie team. Main looked good for Well in a similar situation against us. Move for first goal was great especially the cross from Ferguson. Killie fans on the train were not pleased with their teams performance and were suggesting they have been poor for a while.
  7. Hopefully this will be a better game than the 0-0 shitfest at Rugby park in August. Not sure if Bryson with his ankle injury will be fit for this but if he is would be tempted to go with the same team as started on Wednesday night although I would be tempted to drop Vyner if one of the other central midfielders is fit. Killie supposedly struggling for centre halfs for this one due to injury and suspensions although they are appealing Bruce's red card from Wednesday. In Train then pub Y Train back to the capital 2-0 Ferguson and Hedges
  8. Highlights missed out a few Dons chances including an easy one that Cosgrove missed in the first half before we scored and penalty shout in second half where Hamilton player handled the ball. Think they showed every chance Hamilton had. Was a lot more one sided than those highlights suggest.
  9. From highlights it looked some game between Liverpool and Arsenal last night. 5-5 with some cracking goals from both teams.
  10. Thought we were comfortable without really excelling tonight. Thought McGinn was best Dons player. Ferguson took goal well and looked better than he has for a while. Bryson rolled his ankle and was taken off as a precaution according to McInnes on radio after the game.
  11. Hate going to this two sided dump with their plastic carpet. We never play well here. Would expect Bryson and Ferguson to return to midfield. No idea why Hedges has missed last 2 but would have him in for McLennan and Wilson or Anderson in for Gallagher. However what McInnes will do is anyone’s guess. If we want to finish least shit of the rest then need to be winning next 3. In Lift from Capital Away end Lift back to Capital 2-0 McGinn and Hedges.
  12. Shankland with winner for Arabs again.
  13. We were supposed to be speaking to O'Neill prior to last international break. Seems a bit odd to say the least if we are only acting on this now.
  14. Would love to think we would go at them like we went after Motherwell but just cannot see McInnes changing the habit of a life time and expect us to sit in with us inevitably losing when someone makes a mistake at the back. Not paying £50 for train so giving Sunday a miss might watch on tv. Oot Flat Flat Flat 0-3 no Dons scorer.
  15. Seriously considered staying in the pub when I saw the team and did not see that one coming. Joe’s penalty save was massive. 1-0 down after 5 minutes would have been disastrous I suspect. Great team performance. Leigh was outstanding in midfield and has to play there next week. Team looked far more comfortable playing the ball on the ground. Scored 3 cracking goals and should have had at least a couple more.
  16. 3rd round draw Auchinleck Talbot v Arbroath Stranraer v Dunfermline Athletic Dumbarton v Forfar Athletic Raith Rovers v Peterhead Elgin City v Alloa Athletic Greenock Morton v Brora Rangers Gala Fairydean Rovers/Formartine Utd v East Kilbride Partick Thistle v Penicuik Athletic/Stenhousemuir Fort William/Albion Rovers v Airdrie Queen of the South v Queen's Park Edinburgh City v Brechin City/Annan Athletic Stirling Albion v Clyde East Fife v BSC Glasgow/Lochee Utd Linlithgow Rose v Falkirk Inverurie Loco Works v Broxburn Athletic/Cowdenbeath Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic v Montrose Dons in in the next round.
  17. 6 defenders against Motherwell!
  18. SSN saying both Wilson and Gleeson in contention to play today. Would like to see us going 4-4-2 today with Wilson up front beside Cosgrove and Gleeson in beside Campbell in midfield. Hedges and McGinn in the wide positions. Back 4 would like to see Considine keeping his place beside McKenna but can see McInnes going with Devlin and McKenna with Considine going to left back. Main thing is we have to stop the long ball shit and get back to playing the ball on the ground. In Train then beers Away end Train back to capital 1-1 Wilson
  19. Interesting to see that Jack was sacked with a record of P74 W39 D25 L10. Really not that bad a record especially given they had to rebuild a team in his first season.
  20. Jack Ross punted by Sunderland. Wonder if they would come back in for McInnes.
  21. Should have taken the train up this morning being cancelled as being a sign and just went to the independence march instead. Abysmal game of football between two piss poor teams. Thought we robbed Hibs today and we could have had no complaint if we had lost 3-1 today. Thought both red cards were correct at the time. Might change my mind when I see them on tv. Main is a truly awful footballer. I have no idea what possessed McInness to sign him. I wish I had the will power to stop going as getting absolutely no enjoyment from watching us just now.
  22. Ah missed that.
  23. Not seen anything to suggest any of the long term absentees will be back so other than Considine in for Vyner I cannot see there being many changes to the line up for Saturday. I would like to see us going with an extra forward and play Anderson up beside Cosgrove but just cannot see McInnes changing from 1 up hoofball we have been playing. Hibs seem to have steadied the ship a little so this could be a harder game than it would have been a few weeks ago. If it was not for the fact I have a season ticket I would not be going to this as most of the games I have been to this season have been brutal to watch due to our style of play and I cannot see it being any differnet on Saturday. In Train then few beers in town Y Quick beer then train back to capital 1-1 Cosgrove penalty for Dons
  24. Surprised that Matt Phillips is not in the squad as thought he was one of the few who played well in last series of games.
  25. Full squad as Manc is to lazy to put it up. Goalkeepers: Craig MacGillivray (Portsmouth), David Marshall (Wigan Athletic), Jon McLaughlin (Sunderland) Defenders: Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Michael Devlin (Aberdeen), Grant Hanley (Norwich City), Charlie Mulgrew (Wigan Athletic), Stephen O'Donnell (Kilmarnock), Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday), Andrew Robertson (Liverpool), Greg Taylor (Celtic) Midfielders: Ryan Christie (Celtic), John Fleck (Sheffield United), Ryan Jack (Rangers), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Callum McGregor (Celtic), Kenny McLean (Norwich City), Scott McTominay (Manchester United), Robert Snodgrass (West Ham) Forwards: Oliver Burke (Alaves), James Forrest (Celtic), Ryan Fraser (AFC Bournemouth), Oliver McBurnie (Sheffield United), Johnny Russell (Sporting Kansas City), Lawrence Shankland (Dundee United) As has been said Devlin being picked ahead of Considine is odd. Good to see Shankland being called up but on the whole the squad looks really shite and can only see a defeat in Russia. Will at least beat San Marino at home.
