  1. Don’t see the need for having a holding midfielder against Ross County at home so would go with Bryson and Ferguson in the middle with Hedges and McGinn wide. Agree with playing Wilson in behind Cosgrove. Thought Vyner struggled against a toothless Kilmarnock attack last week so if Devlin is fit I would go with him and Considine at the back. Really need a performance after last few games which have torture to watch. Expect County to sit in and be difficult to break down after a couple of poor results recently. In Supporters bus then pub Y Supporters bus back to capital. 2-0 Cosgrove and Wilson
  2. Scotland Squad for up coming games against Russia and Belgium. Goalkeepers Craig MacGillivray (Portsmouth) David Marshall (Wigan Athletic) Jon McLaughlin (Sunderland) Defenders Liam Cooper (Leeds United) Grant Hanley (Norwich City) Charlie Mulgrew (Wigan Athletic)* Stephen O’Donnell (Kilmarnock) Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday) Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) Greg Taylor (Kilmarnock) Midfielders Stuart Armstrong (Southampton) Ryan Christie (Celtic) Ryan Jack (Rangers) John McGinn (Aston Villa) Callum McGregor (Celtic) Kenny McLean (Norwich City) Scott McTominay (Manchester United) Robert Snodgrass (West Ham) Forwards James Forrest (Celtic) Ryan Fraser (AFC Bournemouth) Oliver McBurnie (Sheffield United) Steven Naismith (Heart of Midlothian) Matt Phillips (West Bromwich Albion) Johnny Russell (Sporting Kansas City)
  3. That was every bit as bad as last week. As a team we are so predictable. Ball gets passed sideways 3 or 4 times then punted forward for for Cosgrove to fail to win it in the air. We win it back and repeat the process. We desperately need to get a creative player in the middle of the park. From the managers comments in the week I thought we were going to try Wilson there today but instead we stuck him out on the wing where he could not influence the game. We need to change something soon or it could be a horrible long season.
  4. Campbell out and McLennan and Bryson both doubtful for today.
  5. Scott Wright being linked with a move to Ipswich or Sunderland. Apologies in advance for the link. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4639953/sunderland-and-ipswich-in-transfer-chase-for-aberdeen-star-scott-wright/
  6. Pretty sure it has to be home section that they close.
  7. With McInnes talking about Wilson being the new Christie I would expect Wilson to replace Bryson if he is out injured and Ferguson to replace either Gallagher or McGinn. Personally I would also drop Ojo to play an additional attacking player as I do not see the need for a defensive holding midfielder against Kilmarnock but no chance McInnes will do anything like that. Hopefully the game is better than last 4 and we can get away from the hoofball we have been playing and get the ball on the ground and play with pace. Not sure I could stomach a whole season of what I have watched of late. In Lift over and hopefully time for a beer Away end Lift back to the capital 2-0 Wilson and Hedges
  8. Only thing I have seen was article in the Retard suggesting we were looking to move players out permanently , May and Gleeson, and some young players out on loan. No mention of any players coming in. No quotes in the article so probably just standard Rrtard shite.
  9. Two Dons named in the U21 squad for games against San Marino and Croatia. Goalkeepers: Ross Doohan (Ayr United), Robby McCrorie (Queen of the South), Kieran Wright (Rangers) Defenders: Daniel Harvie (Ayr United), George Johnston (Feyenoord), Ross McCrorie (Portsmouth), Tom McIntyre (Reading), Ryan Porteous (Hibernian), Patrick Reading (Middlesborough) Midfielders: Allan Campbell (Motherwell), Lewis Ferguson (Aberdeen), Billy Gilmour (Chelsea), Jordan Holsgrove (Reading), Stephen Kelly (Ayr United), Kyle Magennis (St Mirren), Kyle McAllister (St Mirren), Lewis Smith (Hamilton). Forwards: Fraser Hornby (Everton), Michael Johnston (Celtic), Connor McLennan (Aberdeen), Glenn Middleton (Hibernian), James Scott (Motherwell).
  10. Being linked with a move to Lazio in the press today. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/1822906/dons-striker-linked-with-move-to-serie-a
  11. Replays and postponed games Colville Park 0-4 Whitehill Welfare LTHV 5-0 Wigtown and Bladnoch Auchinleck Talbot 6-1 Dundonald Bluebell.
  12. Jute

    Derby County

McLean got injured in first game of the season last year and was out injured for first 6 months. Got back in the team once he was fit.
  13. We were awful for huge chunks of the game today and could easily been 3-0 down by half time. We were so predictable in attack that Dundee were easily able to cope with most of our attempts to attack. It teams can stop us getting wide we quickly resort to hoofing the ball long as we have zero creation in midfield. It was only down to Dundee running out of steam in the last 10 minutes that we got in to game. However a win is a win and we are still in the cup which is the main thing. Cannot help thinking it is just papering over the cracks and that we are going to take a fearful doing off both sides of the old firm if we keep playing this way.
  14. Bryson for Ferguson is the only change from Thursday.
  15. Jute

    Derby County

If Ojo keeps performing like he did on Thursday we might even be interested.
  16. Would think Greg Taylor is probably who they are trying to get however if it is McKenna it should be cash up front only deal. Then use some of that to buy Jason Kerr from St J.
  17. 3 games into the Championship season in England and we have the first managerial casualty of the season with Huddersfield sacking Jan Siewert after only 7 months in charge. Only one win in 7 months but given they were in free fall before when he took over does seem a bit quick.
  18. With Ferguson suspended will have to make changes for this one. Massively important game for the team given last 3 performances. If Bryson is fit (stop laughing) would expect him to replace Ferguson if he is not the it will be Campbell along side Ojo. Assuming Cosgrove is fit would expect him to play up top with Hedges and McGinn behind him with either Gallagher or McLennan. Would expect same back 4 as last night. Dundee having Hemings back is giving me a little concern. Failure on Sunday will leave us looking at a long dull season. In Train then visit family Away end Train back to capital 2-0 McGinn and Hedges.
  19. 1st Preliminary round results Colville Park P-P Whitehill Welfare Linlithgow Rose 2-1 Preston Athletic Broxburn 2-0 Tynecastle Camelon 4-0 Newton Stewart Coldstream 1-9 Jeanfield Swifts Dundonald Bluebell 2-2 Auchinleck Talbot Easthouses Lily 1-6 Penicuik Hawick RAU 1-6 Threave Rovers Hill of Beath 2-0 Blackburn United Lochee United 7-0 Burntisland Lothian Thistle HV P-P Wigtown & Bladnoch Banks of Dee 5-0 Glasgow Uni St Cuthberts 1-7 Girvan
  20. Well that was shite. Fucking awful from first to last. Yes the ref was shite but by fuck did we make some stupid challenges. I had said to my mates as soon as Ojo was booked that he was going to be sent off. He was getting totally overrun in the middle of the park and was diving into challenges as a result. We should have hooked him as soon as we went 1-0 down. Cosgrove looked half fit. How bad must our other strikers be that McInnes would rather go with a half fit Cosgrove rather than play any of them. As someone has already said we have zero creation in midfield and as a result are very predictable. No doubt McInnes will claim getting a draw in second half as a victory.
  21. Confirmation of Cosgrove being out here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49324014 We should not be going with Main as his “style” of football will see him booked or sent off in Europe. See Stockley for evidence of that. He is also dug shite. Would rather we went with Anderson or May along side Wilson. Agree with the rest of the team. Think we are fucked anyway as cannot see us getting 3 without them scoring. In Bus up and hopefully a couple of pints Y Bus back to capital 2-1 McGinn and Wilson.
  22. Wilson given 5 minutes.
  23. That’s Logan and Cosgrove both with two bookings. Does that mean they are suspended for 2nd leg? ETA: 3 yellow cards for a suspension.
  24. They were a step up in class from what we have played previously but we gave them far to much respect and have paid the price. Both goals were self inflicted. Cannot see us not conceding at home so probably needing 4 to go through. Not enough quality to do that sadly.
  25. Wayne Rooney agrees to leave DC United in January and join Derby.
