Raids today in Belgium carried out on most of the top flight clubs over match fixing and financial irregularities. Clubs in France, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Luxembourg and Cyprus. Would think that if clubs in the Belgian top flight, a reasonably well off European country, are involved in match fixing then more than likely that top flight clubs in other countries are also going to be at it. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/10/10/belgian-football-faces-investigation-financial-fraud-match-fixing/

Sorry folks I put up the wrong squad. Actual squad is as Goalkeepers: Craig Gordon (Celtic), Allan McGregor (Rangers), Jon McLaughlin (Sunderland). Defenders: Jack Hendry (Celtic), Scott McKenna (Aberdeen), Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn Rovers), Stephen O'Donnell (Kilmarnock), Andy Robertson (Liverpool), Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen), John Souttar (Heart of Midlothian), Kieran Tierney (Celtic). Midfielders: Stuart Armstrong (Southampton), James Forrest (Celtic), Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth), Kevin McDonald (Fulham), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Callum McGregor (Celtic), Scott McTominay (Manchester United), Robert Snodgrass (West Ham United). Forwards: Leigh Griffiths (Celtic), Oliver McBurnie (Swansea), Steven Naismith (Heart of Midlothian), Johnny Russell (Sporting Kansas City).

Stockley played in Europe for us last season. Not sure International break is a bad thing as might allow us to get some of our injured players back.
-
Good win but think we have to temper this with how shite the opposition were. Thought McLennan looked decent and he took his goal well. Ferguson again impressed. Have to keep reminding myself he is only 19. Well done to Cosgrove in doubling his career goal tally in one game. Still not convinced he will find it as easy to score against the rest of the league. As for St Mirren think they and Dundee could be the worst teams I have seen in top flight in a long time. Will be a miracle if they don’t finish in the bottom 2.

Recently German fans staged a silent 20 minutes to protest over various disputes with DFB. Something like this may work here. Would need to be all clubs fans though which might be difficult to arrange. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/sep/27/bundesliga-fans-give-dfb-the-silent-treatment-dortmund-hit-seven-protests-football

I look for us to be challenging for league every season. I get that we start at a disadvantage due to financial clout of Celtic and the Tribute Act but if the club can get the right balance between bringing through our own players and brining in talent from elsewhere on the back of a proper scouting network then it should be impossible to compete with them. Building a purpose built training facility will hopefully help towards this. Don’t get folk saying they want to see Celtic and Tribute Act out of the league as they are too big. Always going to be teams that are bigger than others.

Think we need to stick with 2 up top as do not think May or Wilson look like they suit the lone striker role. If Ferguson is fit again would be tempted to drop one of holding midfielders in Shinnie or Ball. Should not need two defensive midfielders against St Mirren at home. Not expecting St Mirren to be as bad as they were in the cup game but still a game we should be looking to win comfortably. In Late train and straight to ground Y Beers in town as staying up overnight. - Now changed to straight back down the road so no beer for me. 2-0 McGinn and GMS
-
Assistant ref hit with an object thrown from Tribute Act support. When are these cunts going to get brought to task.
-
Agreed Manc. Trips to Tannadice were highlights of the season. Looks like only chance of playing them anytime soon will be in the cups.
-
I am beginning to think there are 2 Greg Stewarts as the one playing for Killie cannot be the same fat work shy shyster we had last season.
-
While I do think the lack of a creative central midfielder is a big part of the problem I still think that the main problem is that not one of our strikers is an out and out goal scorer. May looks a shadow of the player who was at St Johnstone and since coming back from injury has only scored 7 goals. Wilson looks more like a striker who creates chances for a partner and even before his injury was only scoring a goal every 5 games. Cosgrove is just not a footballer never mind a striker. Until we get in a replacement for Rooney I think we are going to struggle to score many goals even if we do address the lack of creation in the middle of the park. For me best option at the moment is to stick with May and Wilson as a front 2 and hope that they form a decent if not prolific partnership to get us through until January.

Dons being linked with Stephen Ireland. Apologies for the source. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/3267350/stephen-ireland-aberdeen-transfer-news-free-transfer-closing-in-stoke-city-derek-mcinnes/ Recovering from serious injury so meets our main signing criteria if this is true.
-
It was a straight red and according to BBC means he will miss semi final only. Only if it had been violent conduct would he have missed next league game.
-
Not going as refuse to give these robbing cunts £28 for a restricted view ticket. Hopefully last night will not have taken to much out of players as we will have to be at top of our game for 90 minutes if we are to get anything from game. Any news on any of injured players being back? Oot Flat Civil Service Stollers v Forres Mechanics in Scottish Cup. Flat 2-0 Celtic as they always raise their game against us.

Hibernian v Aberdeen Betfred Cup Quarter-Final

Still no idea how we won that. Very few in Red were even close to having played well. Wilson looked good in flashes. There is a player in there if we can keep him fit and motivated. Joe was as solid as ever. Felt the defence was put under a lot of pressure due to midfield being completely unable to hold on to the ball. Some good penalties for Dons. Hibs will be regretting the number of chances they passed up tonight. -

Don’t like to change a winning team but I don’t think team we played on Saturday will work tonight. We will need to be able to hold onto the ball. Would be tempted to bring Gleeson in for Ball. As others have said he holds on to ball well and seems to be able to pick a pass where as Ball for all his effort can’t. If Ferguson is fit would go for the extra body in midfield and drop Cosgrove which would also help us retain possession. Hibs fans are right in saying we will probably try and shitfest our way to a 1-0 win. In Flat then 2 minute stroll to ground Away end Flat 2-0 Hibs -
