  1. A few folk questioned why only a 2 point deduction on radio but nothing really mentioned.
  2. What links like this? https://www.facebook.com/100023840015754/posts/271688920302440/
  3. 2nd round draw Livingston v Motherwell Dundee v Ayr Utd Dunfermline v Hearts Kilmarnock v Rangers Aberdeen v St Mirren Partick Thistle v Celtic Hibs v Ross County Queen of the South v St Johnstone Ties to be played 18th & 19th August although BT Sport suggested possibly 17th as well.
  4. Young Dons side with a couple of trialists beat Arbroath 3-0 today. Bruce Anderson with all 3 for Dons.
  5. Groups finish after Hearts v ICT today and draw to be made for 2nd round after today game. Teams that are through as follows: Seeded teams: Celtic Aberdeen Tribute Act Hibs Ayr United Dunfermline St Johnstone Livingston/ICT (if ICT get 2 points against Hearts, they will qualify as seeds and Livi go through as an unseeded team. If Hearts win or draw and Hearts get bonus point, then Livingston get the final seeded place) non-seeded teams: Ross County Kilmarnock Dundee Motherwell St Mirren QOS and 2 teams out of: Partick/Livingston/Hearts/ICT that depends on the result tomorrow
  6. If the option is give money to the SRU or rent the stadiums from the arse cheeks then I know where I would rather the cash went. Murrayfield is best option for public transport but pitch is a bit far away on main stand side but no worse than Hampden.
  7. Don’t think Shankland ever got a chance at Dons. Of his 17 appearances only 2 were starts and he only got a hour. Rest of his appearances were as sub where he only got a couple of miniutes here and there. McInnes clearly didn’t rate him so move was probably best all round.
  8. Cannot see where the goals are coming from for Dons. Neither Cosgrove or May looked particularly good in the preseason games I made and cannot see either giving Burnley much of a problem. Agree with LA that Ferguson should start as he did look good in both games I have seen him play. Hopefully Gleeson is fit as would not been keen on Ball playing either. Hopefully we do enough to stay in the tie for second leg. In Train up then beers in town. Y Lift back to capital. 0-2 no Dons scorer.
  9. Had a look at flights from Edinburgh and it was about £340.
  10. Moult has number 9 shirt this season and has been involved in every preseason game including starting on Saturday. Would be very surprised if they are going to loan him out and there has been nothing in local press there to suggest Moult is anything other than part of their squad.
  11. Scottish window shuts on 31st August.
  12. Young Dons side beat Inverurie 3-2 tonight. Brown, Anderson and Dangana with goals for Dons.
  13. Bus heading down from Edinburgh and West Lothian to away game against Burnley. Heading down on 1st August with overnight stay in Blackpool back up after the game. Cost of bus is £30 and you will need to arrange your own accommodation and ticket. Anyone interested drop me a PM and I will pass on contact details.
  14. So how many goals came from this great partnership post split. I mean they must have got one between them for it to have been such a great partnership.
  15. Saw very little evidence of that last season. Cosgrove has looked every inch a player who could not score in the conference north and that has not changed in preseason games I have seen this year. May provided some assists mainly to Rooney. Surely the main purpose of a striker is to score goals. Most teams would kill for a striker who only scores tap ins.
  16. This. If he is not good enough to play in third division in England for Rotherham then he is not good enough for Dons. Hell even McInnes played a useless cunt like OConnor ahead of him last season. Shite lazy signing. Edit: Hope to fuck he is nowhere near right back for first 2 games.
  17. Would be very concerned if we were to go into the season with Cosgrove and May as the only striking options. In games I have seen Cosgrove has looked like he has absolutely no idea where the goal is and May has looked a shadow of the player who was at St Johnstone.
  18. McInnes said at the DNA Q&A the top targets were defensive cover and a striker and that was before Rooney’s possible departure.
  19. I see Burnley are being linked with Sam Clucas from Swansea. Be funny if Burnley were to buy him and provide Swansea with the funds to sign McKenna from us.
  20. No mention of a fee in the article but surely we would not just be freeing our top goal scorer?
  21. No mention of striker in the article but it does mention the “versatile” Ball as coming into provide defensive and midfield cover and Lyness coming on trial following him leaving Nuneaton Borough to provide cover at keeper.
  22. Ball was at best mediocre in midfield and brutal at right back. Squad players should be there to push for first team places not warm the bench. We should be looking for better than Ball. If keeper is right then there was clearly no plan in place when Rogers was put on loan as this guy was on trial at another club when Rogers went to St Mirren.
  23. Given we were already looking for a striker before Rooney’s potenial departure would like to think we are now looking for two coming in. As you say one has to be a proven goal scorer at this level. I cannot see it being Moult or Bryce so McInnes might need to actually do some scouting. Whoever we are looking at needs to be in place soon.

    World Cup

Modric was outstanding. Perisic’s agent will be a busy man this summer. Really dislike VAR. Just watching MLS game where another non Penalty has been awarded on back of it. Above said France are great side who could go on to dominate like Spain did. Great World Cup though with some great games.
  25. What’s the funding shortfall for the training complex again?
