  1. So it wasn’t Ball who’s challenge was brushed aside by Alston as he ran in for the second goal. Thought looked powder puff at the game but waited to check TV highlights to make sure I was not being harsh on him. Any half way decent defensive midfielder would have made sure he either won the ball or brought Alston down. Ball did neither and it summed him up. Even playing at the best of his abilities he offers nothing going forward and is still capable of making the mistake that costs you a goal.
  2. Boca v River been a decent game so far with Boca just going 1-0 up. Great atmosphere even with the game being in Madrid. ETA: Finished 3-1 to River aet. Really good game. Some brutal challenges mixed in with some great skill, some comical dives and bizarre refereeing.
  3. Suspect it is because Wright has shown flashes of being a player who can win you the game on his day. At least folk think if he is on the pitch there is the chance of being entertained not bored ridged by the ball being passed backwards or sides ways for 90 minutes like some of our other players do. As for Tuesday I would expect Livingston to be even more organised and hard to breakdown than St J were on Saturday. We need to drop one from Ferguson Ball and Shinnie to allow McGinn to play through the middle to give us some creation in the middle of the park. Although Wright and McLennan were not great on Saturday I would give them another chance on Tuesday as I don’t see how a young player develops if he is dropped after one poor game. They need a run of games. As for striker I don’t think May did much wrong on Saturday and did well on the limited service he received so would be inclined to stick with him. Suspect McInnes will go with Cosgrove. Oot Work Flat Flat 1-0 McGinn
  4. Second leg of this is on Freesport at half 7 tonight. Game move to Madrid due to violence outside ground when they originally tried to play the second leg.
  5. 13304 according to BBC site. Pretty certain it was nowhere near that figure.
  6. Well that was worth travelling up for 3 hours dosed up on Imodium for. Our central 3 in the middle of the park offered zero going forward. This allowed St J to concentrate on stifling our wide players which they did very well. McGinn should have started in the centre to at least give us some creativity. We never looked like winning today and play the same way on Tuesday and we will get beat again.
  7. Signed for Patrick in October and played twice without scoring.
  8. Been impressed with him so far. Extended deal gives him more time to develop.
  9. Ball is a bottom six/championship player at best and should not be at Aberdeen. We should be looking for far better quality than Ball as a first team player.
  10. No rumours both Olsen and Forsyth who are Derby's usual left backs have knee injuries. Olsen is expected back before the end of the season and Forsyth is just waiting confirmation that his season is over.
  11. That was the team I was just coming on to suggest for Saturday. We will need to be a bit more attack minded at home so agree with Ball dropping out for Wright. No need to rush players back from injury when players who have replaced them have played well so GMS and Devlin can have some extra time to recover. St J fan in the work has been saying for a couple of weeks that they have been playing well so not expecting this to be an easy game but injury to Drey Wright will be a blow to them. In Lift up the road then beer Y Beers in town as staying overnight 2-1 McGinn and May
  12. Greg Stewart double takes Killie top of the league.
  13. Club shop now has all sizes of top back in stock. Email about it came out yesterday.
  14. Thankfully to busy at work to make it through on Wednesday. Going to go against flow on here and say that would not have Cosgrove and Ball anywhere near the team on Wednesday. No point in having a striker on the field who cannot score. Ball might be full of energy but when he cannot pass the ball to his own team then he should not be starting a game where possession of the ball is going to be so important. Would say McLennan did enough to start would maybe have him and Wright wide with McGinn in behind May or Anderson. Defence did nothing wrong on Sunday so unless he is 100% would not rush Devlin back. Tribute Act will be flying after going top of the league in December for the first time in their history. They will go for us from the off. Oot Work Flat Flat 2-0 no Dons scorer.
  15. Scotland fixtures. https://twitter.com/ScotlandNT/status/1069323923538542592/photo/1
  16. Balls passing being piss poor is surely a draw back for a midfielder. Another cup final another defeat. Fine defensively but created nothing. To many players today who’s main attribute is effort but that’s it. Little or no footballing ability from some.
  17. Up until 3pm last Saturday I suspect McInnes and most of us thought we knew what the line up would be for Sunday. Now after the woeful performance against Well that will have changed. I would like to see Anderson start beside May but with Cosgrove getting 45 minutes last week I think McInnes will start with him as lone striker to allow us an additional body in midfield which will probably be Ball. Would expect Considine to continue beside McKenna at the back. Not looking forward to Sunday at all. In Train then Shed or pub in that area West Stand Train back to the Capital 2-0 No Dons scorer
  18. Full draw Aberdeen v Stenhousemuir Auchinleck Talbot v Ayr United Celtic v Airdrieonians Cowdenbeath v Rangers Dundee v Queen of the South East Fife v Greenock Morton or Peterhead Edinburgh City or Inverness Caledonian Thistle v East Kilbride Heart of Midlothian v Livingston Hibernian v Elgin City Kilmarnock v Forfar Athletic Montrose or Annan Athletic v Dundee United Motherwell v Ross County Partick Thistle v Stranraer Raith Rovers v Dunfermline Athletic St Johnstone v Hamilton Academical St Mirren v Alloa Athletic
  19. Might be worth dropping club a line as they will have contact details for supporters clubs that are running buses.
  20. Motherwell TV said it was a tactical change. Failed miserably as 3-0 down now.
  21. So glad I woke up early to watch this. Really hard to tell which team is on a 4 game winning streak and which was ridden 7-1 in their last game. Don’t think I have heard Wilson’s name once. May again looking a shadow of player who was at St Johnstone. Even Motherwell TV commentators mentioned how he looks like a different player. They are also ripping the piss out of our short corners as they are so poor but we still keep doing them.
  22. Really think we need to be starting Anderson along side May for this one. Wilson has been poor over last few games. Considine should be able to fill in for Devlin. Others should be as per Hibs game. Well looked awful in last outing against the Tribute Act and this is one we should be looking at winning comfortably. Oot Sleeping Sleeping Either Cal v Colorado or Warriors v Kings. 3-0 McGinn, May & GMS.
  23. Boca v River currently on Freesport in final of copa libertadores Final first leg. Currently 2-2 and atmosphere is amazing despite no away fans. Got to get to a game at La Bombanera. Yes Manc I know you’ve been.
  24. Thought it was a decent game given the conditions. Well taken goal by GMS and it was between him and May for top Don tonight. Another great defensive performance as well. Only Dons player who disappointed was Wilson. Not convinced he wants to be here. Think it would be best for all concerned if he returned to Man U in January.
  25. Tribute Act have lodged a complaint with the SFA over Collum according to Sky. Any other team apart from the green arse cheek would be on a disrepute charge if they tried this.
