  1. This. If he is not good enough to play in third division in England for Rotherham then he is not good enough for Dons. Hell even McInnes played a useless cunt like OConnor ahead of him last season. Shite lazy signing. Edit: Hope to fuck he is nowhere near right back for first 2 games.
  2. Would be very concerned if we were to go into the season with Cosgrove and May as the only striking options. In games I have seen Cosgrove has looked like he has absolutely no idea where the goal is and May has looked a shadow of the player who was at St Johnstone.
  3. McInnes said at the DNA Q&A the top targets were defensive cover and a striker and that was before Rooney’s possible departure.
  4. I see Burnley are being linked with Sam Clucas from Swansea. Be funny if Burnley were to buy him and provide Swansea with the funds to sign McKenna from us.
  5. No mention of a fee in the article but surely we would not just be freeing our top goal scorer?
  6. No mention of striker in the article but it does mention the “versatile” Ball as coming into provide defensive and midfield cover and Lyness coming on trial following him leaving Nuneaton Borough to provide cover at keeper.
  7. Ball was at best mediocre in midfield and brutal at right back. Squad players should be there to push for first team places not warm the bench. We should be looking for better than Ball. If keeper is right then there was clearly no plan in place when Rogers was put on loan as this guy was on trial at another club when Rogers went to St Mirren.
  8. Given we were already looking for a striker before Rooney’s potenial departure would like to think we are now looking for two coming in. As you say one has to be a proven goal scorer at this level. I cannot see it being Moult or Bryce so McInnes might need to actually do some scouting. Whoever we are looking at needs to be in place soon.

    World Cup

Modric was outstanding. Perisic’s agent will be a busy man this summer. Really dislike VAR. Just watching MLS game where another non Penalty has been awarded on back of it. Above said France are great side who could go on to dominate like Spain did. Great World Cup though with some great games.
  10. What’s the funding shortfall for the training complex again?
  11. I have one for away end but another who is travelling with us currently does not. If it’s available let me know.
  12. Is the home ticket spare?
  13. Mahrez eventually leaves Leicester City and moves to Manchester City for £60m.
  14. Aberdeen U20 side drew 1-1 with Southend in Spain today.

    Thank fuck for that.
  16. From memory McInnes said the Woodman deal was pretty expensive if he was not playing so cannot see us going back for him just to be a back up. Cannot see Newcastle agreeing to send him out as back up either. They will want him to be playing. Very odd move from Dons at a time when we need to be concentrating on other areas of the field that need strengthening.
  17. According to this site it is. http://www.live-footballontv.com/live-football-on-bt-sport.html Usually pretty accurate but not seen an official yet.
  18. Saw that today. Would have thought he would have offers from championship clubs so surprised to see him going to the A League.
  19. Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid for €100m according to BBC.
  20. Only recent rail extensions I can think of were the Stirling to Alloa line which refurbished existing track for 5.6 miles and a new station at Alloa cost £85m. Borders Railway was longer, 35 miles, and although some of the old track bed was still there new track and bridges were reaquired at a cost of £350m. Would think a completely new line even only 4 miles of track, a station and associated signalling would cost more than the cost of Stirling to Alloa line but less than the Borders. Cannot see Scottish Government forking out for a line to serve a football stadium. Other option could be a light railway/tram line from Aberdeen to Westhill. Edinburgh trams network runs for 8 miles so a similar distance as Aberdeen Westhill. It cost £776m to build. Would assume a line in Aberdeen would cost similar so no chance Aberdeen Council will fund that. Then you would have similar legal wrangles on the routes as there was on the bypass route.
  21. Another 6ft plus striker. Surely we should be looking at a higher standard than 4th division in England.
  22. Seen elsewhere the Danny Rogers is possibly going on loan to St Mirren. Bit of an odd one and would leave us having to look for a back up.
  23. Tony Watt supposedly signing for St Johnstone.
  24. Devlin played most of game. Only subbed towards the end. Took a hefty challenge but seemed to be fine.
  25. Some good individual performances from Wright and Ferguson but felt we looked ropey at back at times especially when St J came down our flanks. May took his goal well and looked better than he did on Wednesday. Game against Caley on Wednesday cancelled due to injuries picked up today.
