  1. Thought Forrester looked decent in the preseason games I saw him in. Distributed the ball well. I will give you he was not great against Tribute Act or Dundee when he came on but then again few did look good in red in either game. I cannot see McInnes playing 2 youngsters in midfield against Hibs and Gleeson does not look like he is going to be anything other than a defensive midfielder.
  2. I would normally say that unless there are injuries that you do not change a winning team however Hibs are a different proposition to a relegation bound St Mirren so would not expect us to be as attack minded as we were last week and would expect team to be Lewis Logan, Devlin, Considine, Hoban (if fit) Shinnie, Ferguson Wright, Forrester (if McGinn is not fit), GMS May If Hoban is not fit I would expect Shinnie to go back to left back and Gleeson to play along side Ferguson. In Beers in the flat then 2 minute walk to the ground Away end Beer 2-1 Wright and GMS for Dons
  3. Sunderland allegedly in for Christie according to Scotsman. Just have to be straight cash for McKenna.
  4. Hamilton statement does not sound like they are happy with result. https://www.hamiltonacciesfc.co.uk/club-statement-compensation-tribunal/
  5. Hibs sign Australian international midfielder Mark Milligan.
  6. Seen them called that on P&B including by their own fans.
  7. I know Millers a cunt but surely you cannot sack him based on performance after 7 games. Only lost 2 of them and one of those was Celtic. Got to be more to this than results.
  8. Due to the wall to wall coverage missed that the first round of this was last week. Results were as follows: Hawick Royal Albert 0–5 Bonnyrigg Rose Albert Park Golspie Sutherland 1–4 Burntisland Shipyard King George V Park Auchinleck Talbot 3–1 Banks O' Dee Beechwood Park Coldstream 4–2 St Cuthbert Wanderers Home Park Preston Athletic 3–1 Glasgow University Pennypit Park Threave Rovers 0–3 Beith Meadow Park Tynecastle 0–2 Shortlees Meggetland Sports Complex Second qualifying round is on Ist September and ties are as follows: Auchinleck Talbot v Wigtown & Bladnock Girvan v Burntisland Shipyard Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic v Shortlees AFC Newton Stewart v Coldstream Preston Athletic v Linlithgow Rose Beith Juniors v Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale
  9. 2nd round results so far. Partick 1 3 Celtic FT Aberdeen 4 0 St Mirren FT Dundee 0 3 Ayr FT Dunfermline 0 1 Hearts FT Livingston 0 1 Motherwell FT Queen of the South 2 4 St Johnstone AET Tribute Act play Kilmarnock and Hibs play Ross County this afternoon. Only shock so far is Ayr knocking out Dundee with Shankland netting 2. Worth a look? Hopefully Ross County and Killie can also provide shocks today.
  10. Are we playing 1 up front at home to St Mirren?
  11. Belgium and Albania in September and Portugal in October. Not really picking Country before club as also had to buy Hibs tickets as well. Limited resources so £40 for train up today plus match ticket and beer on top was just stretching things to far.
  12. Would hope Anderson starts with May up front as only change from last weekend. Have only looked like scoring once Anderson comes on to the pitch. As Manc said we have not played particularly well in last couple of games so we need to up our level of performance. Saw St Mirren lose 6 to Sunderland in preseason and they looked a very poor team that day. If we can up our level of play we should win comfortably. Oot- £100+ for Scotland tickets today plus Hibs tickets for next week mean having to give this a miss. Flat Non league game locally probably Newtongrange v Leith Flat 3-0 McGinn Anderson May
  13. Burnley through in Europe with a 1-0 extra time win. Cork scoring again like he did against us.
  14. Tribute Act causing trouble in Europe again. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/video-shows-police-rangers-fans-13092581
  15. Really don’t like the loan system especially loans from teams in your own league. It’s a short term fix that does nothing for the long term development of the team.
  16. That’s the way I read it.
  17. Think tribunal can also take into account any previous offers made to Accies for Ferguson when setting the compensation.
  18. He did. First win for Salford.
  19. Bottom of National League North with no wins in first 3 games. Was hoping they would be home for non league games on the August bank holiday but they are away. Might head to Salford v Barrow instead or more likely to Lancaster City v Marine as it is easier to get to.
  20. Paton was at Dunfermline last season and moved to Dumbarton in the summer.
  21. He was.
  22. Surely its Cosgrove we need to get out on loan. May at least looked like scoring on Saturday and helped create chances including a couple for Cosgrove which he failed miserably to take. Cosgrove just looked totally out of his depth.

  24. Wilson injured his knee in 2016 and has only played 2 first team games since while on loan at Sheffield United according to soccerbase. As Manc says not the signing to excite the fans.
  25. Piss poor performance today against a shite Dundee side. Got a bit better once Anderson replaced Cosgrove and we at least looked like we carried some goal threat. Anderson has to start next week. Thought Gleeson again looked poor along with McGinn. GMS started poorly but got better as game progressed and Dundee fans started abusing him. We desperately need a striker in and also a number 10.
