  1. Hope your right Al as this lad has lower league journeyman written all over him.
  2. United's new keeper looks shit. He flapped at a few in game against us as well. Nicky Low did well when he came on. He will do well there if he stays injury free and may well end up back at Dons when Jack moves on.
  3. That would be a boost. Edit: Although I bet the bastard would have a Dnipro style performance if he does come back.
  4. Surely Dons never picked that date?
  5. Would still think another striker would need to be secured before Shankland is allowed to go on loan.
  6. Edited that just in time Manc. Move to a Sunday rules me out for this one. Agree that manager will ring changes after Thursday. Would expect Flood, Quinn and Rooney to all start. Would like to see us going with a back 4 and keeping Shinnie at left back but suspect Mancs team will be nearer the mark. Killie looked pish last week against Dundee and full expect us to have to much for them. Oot Flat Listening on radio Flat 3-0 Dons Rooney double and McGinn.
  7. Would rather they announced later trains from Aberdeen than this. It's a farce that you cannot travel from Aberdeen to Edinburgh or Glasgow after 9pm on public transport.
  8. Goodwillie may hold the ball up but well but he simply does not look like scoring which for a striker is a major problem. Rooney should have started tonight. He would have been far more likely to get us the early goal we needed. The error from Ward had been coming. He has made similar mistakes in other games but has got lucky when opposition have not followed shots in. Tonight they did and we were punished. I just do not get why Taylor is such a favourite with the fans when he is an accident waiting to happen. He is constantly out of position and making the wrong decisions. He was at least as culpable for the goal as Ward. Gutted to be out as they were not a particularly good team. We just got our tactics wrong in the first game and individual errors cost us tonight.
  9. I only heard it on breakfast news and only bit they said was bit about if fit. Reading the article does make it clearer.
  10. Great player. He loved the Dons as well. He went to Coventry so Dons could get a fee rather than leave at the end of his contract for free when he could have secured himself a far more lucrative deal.
  11. BBC Scotland news reporting it as Jack and McGinn as doubts. Edit: as others have said think this is just misinformation being spread to keep Almaty guessing on our line up.
  12. Would be very disppointed if Quinn was dropped. He has played well in every game and has help solidify the defence. Do not think Thursday is a game for Flood anyway as he always slows us down when we are moving ball forward and given we need to score and probably more than once we will be better with someone who can move the ball forward quickly and also provide a goal threat.
  13. Will get round to this before Friday.
  14. In / out: In Pre matcher: another journey on a supporters bus. Fucking shite public transport. Match: Section Y Post matcher: Bus back down the road pricing flights to various play off venues. Prediction: 3-1 aet McGinn McLean and Rooney Think Almaty will score so we will need to get 3 to go through. Not sure we will get 3 inside regulation 90 and think extra time will be required.
  15. McLean admitted on radio Scotland that he was just trying to deflect it across the goal.
  16. Would like to see us close the gap on Celtic and have real go at winning one of the cups preferrably both.
  17. If it was not for the travelling involved in our latest Euro tie I would be confident of a comfortable win on Saturday. Untied have lost their best 3 players over the last few months and replaced them with players from Austria and Holland. Even if these lads are any good it will take them time to settle in Scottish football so catching them early is in our favour. However have counter that with fact that our team have had to cope with two 8 hour flights in last few days plus playing a game in 40 degree heat. Can see us struggling especially in 2nd half. In / out: In Pre Matcher: boozer in Dundee enjoying a pint and pissing myself laughing at the thought of Manc cycling 100m never mind 100 miles. Match: Shed Post matcher: Train back to Edinburgh Prediction: 1-1 Rooney
  18. Lost in Armenia in the last round.
  19. Fixed that for you. Disappointing result tonight and think we got tactics wrong at the start. Away goal means we are still in the tie but we will need to be better than we were tonight. Hopefully get an early goal at a packed Pittodrie next week will give us platform to go on and win tie.
  20. Thought it was a home game against St Mirren.
  21. From memory teams can only ask to postpone home games.
  22. Do not think is as much as that. Prize money has increased from last year but can only find table from last year which shows getting to round 3 would have netted us €390,000 then. Would think at best we will be looking at around €600,000 this year in prize money along with anything we have from any tv rights and gate money. Travelling costs will be high this year as well.
  23. Langfield was never good enough to be Dons keeper and should never have been signed but some of the abuse he took on line was well over the top. Brown is just as bad and does not seem to get anywhere near the same level of abuse.
  24. Now changed to "linked to Dons duo". Looks like EE showing their usual standard of journalism and picking up on rumours that were circulating on the net last week. No sure if there is anything more too it than that.
  25. As Hilton said Scott Wright did really well when he came on. Very exciting prospect. Also thought Michael Rose did well especially when moved to right back in 2nd half. Impressed again with Quinn. He and Considine formed a good partnership in 2nd half.
