You should have used the word alleged before the words "spitting incident" as yet to see any hard evidence that this actually occurred. Still not convinced that it was not a brilliant ploy from MM to deflect attention from another cup failure. As for the £20K for O'Brien no chance Motherwell would have accepted a bid of this level so that was another brilliant bit of spin from MM. Lastly Grassi was pish before the face injury. In fact in the Dundee game their winger had been in the process of ripping him a new one when he got hurt.

Why would MM do that when he is continuely saying in the papers that he knew the financial constraints that would be in place when he took the job? He must have thought that he could do a job with the funding when he took the job.

Agree only because I think league is so pish that no way teams below us will win three more than us (in some cases win another 3 games) in the remaining 15 or so games not because I think we will enough games to pull away.

Finished 1-1. Barca were poor in the first half but did improve in the 2nd. Cannot see them not progressing now they have the away goal. Stuttgart looked to have improved no end since Gross took over. Bore no resemblence to the team that drew 1-1 with the Huns.

No need for a singing section anyway how long would it be before singing outside the designated area resulted in some Rock Steady jobsworth ejecting you from the ground. Standing Section is section Y. I personally would love to see the return of standing terraces but will simply not happen as these are harder to control than seated areas and polis will never stand for that. Closing off areas of the ground for smaller has merit although it would mean moving season tickets for these games but people are moved for old firm games so not to big a problem to over come. Biggest thing they could do though is get a winning team on the field as nothing gets the atmosphere going like the team scoring goals and winning games.

Jim Spence never mentioned seeing anyone spit at him. He only mentioned that MM had stopped to confront fans that were throwing scarves at him and that Spence had told him just to move on. McGhee was first one to mention spitting.

Most of his comments are the same ones made after both Sigma games and the Dundee game so are begining to wear a bit thin with me. If MM knew back in August and September about the lack of bottle and fight in the squad why did he not address this in January.
