Would suggest the reason he wanted away is that manager was not picking him and had dropped him for a keeper who kept making numerous mistakes. Agree with you on the Inter Toto. IMO more benefit to be gained from playing competitive matches than friendlies. Also Inter toto is more likely throw up trip to somewhere off the beaten track.
