Looking through squad I think it looks like groups who will be U21 age group for next campaign.

Meant to say last night I am not sure there are any who deserved a call up. Maybe 3 lads who where at Cove this season but not sure they fall into this age group.

U20s squad for friendly against Slovakia announced. Not one Dons player in the squad.

Down at Sunderland v Coventry City in English league play off semi final. Sunderland scrape through 3-2 on aggregate to face Sheffield United in the final. Cannot see passed Sheffield United despite them never wing a play off final. Sunderland probably could do with another year in Championship. Stadium of Light is a fantastic stadium and crowd of 46,350 made some noise:

Nobody is Al’s vintage. I was at 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1986 as a kid because teacher at school got us tickets as he knew someone at SFA. Actually also at 1987 and 1988 finals with tickets from same source. 1990 was only one where I could celebrate it properly.

Way off topic lads but before thread hopefully goes back to it purpose of laughing at the Gorgie Huns I would say only reason we need Scottish players is the rules to play in Europe. Outside that as long as a player is good enough then it doesn’t matter where they come from and to claim you need a core of Scottish players to succeed is plainly wrong.

Barcelona v Real Madrid on premier sports just now. Been great game so far. Madrid 2-1 up after 18 minutes.

To put that doing into context that is their first home win since the start of February. We got beaten 4-0 by a team managed by Barry “almost relegated Clyde” Ferguson. Abysmal performance.

Been a brutal watch so far. We seem content to sit in and hope to sneak something on the break. Much like approach for the last 30 years there. Hardest part is they are not that good but we are showing no real intent to try and win the game.

Squad rotation due to three game this week?

Western Sydney lost 2-1. Milanovic didn’t do much in the game but with his current club’s season now officially over wonder if we will officially announce the signing.

Frustrating that actions of a few clowns have put us in this position. United also being punished as we would have sold a load more tickets so drop in income from then.

In England Sunderland produced a smash and grab in first leg of Championship play off away at Coventry 2-1. I have a ticket for second leg at stadium of light next Tuesday so happy that game still open. As an aside it’s annoying that you can travel back from a league game in England mid week on public transport yet only way to do it from a mid week game in Aberdeen is to get a bus that does not get back into Edinburgh until 27 minutes past 2 in the morning.

From what I have seen I expect Dundee or County to beat Livingston or Thistle.

There are a few of the old Meadowbank fans involved at Edinburgh City. Most of them did not follow the team to Livingston as they were totally against the move. Some had even been banned by the then chairman for protests about the move and a couple who even now refuse to set foot in Almondvale.
