I think part of Stewart’s issue in a 4 is him having to cover right back due to Richardson being shite. A solid right back in his place would let us go back to a 4 at the back, the managers preferred set up, and enable Stewart to concentrate on his own game.

I think we will need to stick to 3 at the back. Stewart looks more comfortable there and McCrorie can then cover for Richardson’s limitations. Having watched last night I am even less convinced that VAR improves the game. Linesman actually flagged the Hibs forward offside it was only the new rule that stopped him raising the flag until the play was dead. No VAR he raises the flag when original ball was played. Instead play goes on until ball is dead then two minutes to review on VAR. Just cannot see how it improves the game.

Would expect us to stick 3-5-2 for this one. Richardson will probably come back in for Kennedy which is not a good thing and would expect Barron to come back in for Besuijen in midfield. Bit concerned how a midfield of Ramandani, Clarkson and Barron will cope with the physical challenge of Motherwell. Think we got lucky yesterday Hearts should have been a couple up at least before Lopes scored. Thought they should have had a penalty at game and after seeing in on TV not changed that opinion. Think the 3-5-2 is probably way to go for us at the moment. As others have said got better in the second half and got two well worked goals.
