  1. Was that the game Goram threw the ball in the net from a Jamie Buchan cross?
  2. QF Draw: St Mirren v Ayr United Dundee United v Falkirk Hibernian v Celtic Kilmarnock v East Fife
  3. Of course we fucking should! It's never stopped us in the past. Atleast we scored a few of our pens, they only managed 1! :lolabove:
  4. Hey we almost doubled our goals scored last night
  5. Apologies, my previous post was havering bullshit. Milne does have some planning applications in place according to his website: Cove, Kingswells, Crief and Bucksburn http://www.stewartmilne.com/PageProducer.aspx?Page=37
  6. I was wrong 23rd Sept 2003 League Cup vs Dumbarton 3944 28th Oct 2003 League Cup vs Brechin 3631 since then the lowest were a couple of c4000 crowds vs Berwick Rangers in the following seasons
  7. To be fair the club have had several meetings with fans groups over the last few months, the most recent just the other week when the SPL and SFA were invited along. From memory folk seemed more concerned about the Policing of celtic fans than anything else
  8. Don't think we have. We've had low but I can't ever remember a crowd at Pittodrie lower than 4000 (happy (well not happy) to be proved wrong) Lowest average crowd is from the 60s: 61-62: 7762.
  9. Sounds like we were all over them tbh Although haven't read a report for all the self flagellation that is going on. Seems bizarre to change a team so dramatically that had shown signs of promise on Saturday. In particular bringing Mackie and Vernon back in. Clark as well is a fucking abomination and should get to fuck. Good to see the tombola still alive and well at Pittodrie. How many fucking awful results and performances have we had over the last 10yrs where we've seen players out of position and teams chopped and changed seemingly at random. I beginning to think we must be wrong as surely Calderwood, McGhee and Brown can't all be wrong....I mean look at their wikipedia pages.
  10. I don't want to see our club die. Am I reading this right and some of you are actively suggesting we stop going to games to bankrupt us and force Milne out? This is the answer? What happens then? Do you all come flooding back when we are battling to get out the 1st division, or worse? If the afc support was ever going to unite and force change at Pittodrie they would have done it by now. Any attempt at forcing change has been met by infighting, ridicule and ultimately failure. Lots of people want change, few will do anything about it, and those that try something will be pilloried on forums like this. Awesome.
  11. In/oot: In - it's not like we're not used to these fucking cup defeats Prematcher: JD's Match: Where ever they put us Postmatch: Weeg Prediction: Dons win Crowd: me and penfold by the looks of it
  12. Lowest crowd I can find since a game vs Clyde in 1975 shortly before Ally McLeod came on board and we started a long road to success. Any chance of a similar future?
  13. Strange that he isn't starting with Fallon and Chalali, would have thought this would be the ideal game for them both to break their duck. Anyway attack side which will hopefully keep Robo quiet. I presume we're going: Gonzalez Clark McCardle Considine Foster Pawlett Jack Arnason Magennis Vernon Mackie Although I suppose most of the team could be playing in pretty much any position
  14. The event pits home fan against away fan in a race for money - you run from the half-way line, around a life-sized statue of Stuart McCall three times, then compose yourself to score past Motherwell's mascot, Claret, either from the edge of the box (the £100 ball) or the penalty spot (the £50 ball). Enter at the Cash Converters Motherwell Facebook page by CLICKING THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST. The draw will close at 10.00am on Friday September 23rd. *Please note: You must be aged over 18 to take part, and proof of age will be required on the day. You must also already possess a match ticket. http://www.facebook.com/CashConvertersSPL?sk=app_246756018687044

Fuck me For the golfers out there how does that compare with other courses around the NE and Scotland?
  16. Can't see the crowd dropping below 5000. We seem to have a hard core of about 7000 for SPL games on a Sat which will drop a bit for games like this (strange to think 10yrs ago even under Ebbe and Pele I would have said we had a hard core support of c9-10,000, but then I guess it's to be expected) Record v East Fife: Played 73 Won 34 Drawn 16 Lost 23 For 153 Against 95 GD Only played them twice since the early 70s when we were both in the top league. Season 2010-11 08 Jan 2011 Aberdeen 6 - 0 East Fife Scottish Cup R4 6,918 Season 2008-09 17 Feb 2009 Aberdeen 5 - 0 East Fife Scottish Cup R5 8,960 Last defeat to East Fife was 1965 1st Round Cup Replay at Pittodrie in front of 7000 which was mentioned in the programme on Sat as it prompted a change in Management and the appointment of Eddie Turnbull...but BigAl could tell you more

  18. After some clever footwork the young striker ruins a good opportunity by putting in a useless cross. Oh, hold on... http://www.wsc.co.uk/content/view/7759
  19. There is no doubt the club is in a bit of a state but some of the comment on the current team is a little OTT in my opinion. Broon said it would take him what 3-4 windows to get the team he wants, and while that may be a cop out on his, and the boards behalf, we're probably not far from an reasonable SPL side (although some way from challenging for European places I would think) Games I've seen this season: StJ, home, both sides could have played all month and not scored. Immediate reaction was we looked a lot more solid, less likely to get hammered and probably see most games decided by a goal. St Mirren, away, probably the worst performance of the season, totally out played by a good Buddies side. Celtic at home, never any chance of the kind of humiliation we suffered in recent seasons and with a bit of luck could have got a point. Hearts, away, terrible result against a hearts team that really didn't look that much better than us except where it counts, up front. Rangers, away, off the back of two wins, which I missed, best performance at Ibrox in years. Numerous scoring chances and deserved a lot better than a two goal defeat. Hibs, away, never looked like scoring, never looked like conceding. Killie, home, good performance, again deserved to win, this time defensive mistakes cost us dear. 3 reasonable performances - StJ, Rangers, Killie 2 poor performances - Hibs and Hearts 1 Terrible performance - St Mirren. 2 games I haven't seen we won - ICT and Dundee Bit of luck and some ability up front and we could have won 3 of those. Could have, would have, should have. Lets see where we are in January.
  20. Strange game. First half we had all the possession and territory but never really looked like scoring. Then gave away two pretty poor goals with Mawene losing his man totally for the first and killie running through the centre of the defence for the second. Was really against the run of play with both goals on the counter. Didn't see enough of Chalali or Fallon to make much of a comment and Chalali was switched to the RW with Fyvie pushed up front at some point. Our goal came from a corner, where we unusually looked dangerous all day. Ball came out to Considine on the edge of the box a scored what from the RDU looked a little McLeish-esque. Also had what looked like a pen turned down when Challali was booked for diving, interesting to hear from someone with a better view. 2nd half Broon hooked Chalali (was he injured) and put on Pawlett. Fyvie now seemed to be playing just off Fallon as he did at Hibs. Again we dominated the game and tbh actually looked like we could score. Easy header from another corner for the equaliser and looked like only one winner. Sadly our play kinda of disintegrated in the last 15-20mins with far too much reliance on the long ball and Cammy Bell doing his best to waste time. Overall a game we should have won but didn't due to two aberrations in defence. Osbourne was again immense, esp 2nd half and deservedly got MotM. Fyvie played in, I think, 4 different positions: RW, CF, in the "hole" and CM. Not sure this is good for the loon and never really excelled in any of them. Chris Clark is shit Fallon and Chalali had their moments, good and bad, and I'll reserve judgement. Was a last minute decision to go, and having finally see us score, am glad I did. I honestly think we're not far from being an ok side. Despite the problems with lack of width the team work hard and are organised. Individual mistakes will continue to cost us until we start scoring more regularly and hopefully Fallon and Chalali start against East Fife on Tue.
  21. I always said that Martin Bain was a decent guy Edit for gratuitous picture of said decent guy:
