  1. Bloody Hell was that the summer? Pre-Season is well and truely under way with our first warm up game vs Brechin tonight. Time to dust down those red and white shirts, top up on some unfounded pre-season optimism and get ready for season 2011/12. The Glasgow Reds Supporters Club is always on the look out for new members from Glasgow and the wider West-Central Scotland area. We travel to all games by the cheapest, most beer-friendly method (be that train, bus, mini bus, car or plane (well we might get back into Europe one of these days) and as an Official Supporters' Club get priority for all ticket match tickets. The first couple of months look like this with likely all ticket games at St Mirren, Hearts and Rangers coming around early doors, although if the huns lose their Champs League qualifier then our game will be shifted to the Sunday as they will be in the Uefa Cup Play Off. Saturday, 23 July 2011 Aberdeen v St Johnstone, 15:00 Saturday, 30 July 2011 St Mirren v Aberdeen, 15:00 Sunday, 7 August 2011 Aberdeen v Celtic, 12:15 Saturday, 13 August 2011 Hearts v Aberdeen, 15:00 Saturday, 20 August 2011 Aberdeen v Inverness CT, 15:00 Saturday, 27 August 2011 Rangers v Aberdeen, 15:00 I'm looking at booking some train tickets for the St J game on the opening day of the season. Already got enough for 1xFriend's Fare but would be good to get a decent turnout for the start of the season so email or post on the message boards asap so I can secure some cheap train tickets (£11 return each). For more info send me a message or better still register with our website and come on board and say hello at http://www.theglasgowreds.com/ See you all soon Stand Free Mal
  2. We definitely need more midfielders!!
  3. We seem to have a decent number of central midfielders now, could probably do with a bit of width in the team, you know FBs and Wingers
  4. So how long till we shift to 442 after we fail to adapt to 352/532?
  5. Given most people thought he was a competent player at best during his first stint it will be interesting to see how much he has improved in his time away or (more likely) how much afc and the spl have slipped in standard while he has been in England. Anyway, welcome back loon
  6. Apparently thanks to EU laws you can buy tickets through other countries allocations, they were talking about being able to apply on the French website yesterday. Seems a bit shit if the competitors aren't allowed to have their families in the stadium, but I guess if all competitors were given 2 tickets each that would be a pretty large proportion, especially in smaller venues.
  7. It was better when the only place kids could get cheap tickets was the Merkie, it was always pretty full back in the 90s, then they decided you could buy tickets anywhere for kids so they all fucked off to the SS and RDS
  8. Has Romanov set up his own Police Force? How the fuck can you get arrested for waving the flag of a constituent part of the UK?
  9. FFS didn't even realise it had kicked off and it's now 2-2 don't think I'll bother with what ever time is left
  10. All sounds good on here>> http://www.pne-online.net/forum/showthread.php?62780-Youl-Mawene/page1 Apparently PotY at Derby and Preston, bad injury recently but potentially the kind of centre half we've been needing for years

  12. Nigeria pumped Argentina 4-0 last night in Abuja
  13. Some fucking idiot on mad suggested Michael Stewart who apparently is a free agent. Just say NO!
  14. Olympic ticket applicants receive first set of clues 02-06-11 OLYMPICS ticket applicants have been posted an elliptic set of messages that will eventually reveal what sport they will be watching. As entirely random amounts of money were taken from bank accounts, the person behind the clues for Ted Rogers' 3-2-1 was brought out of retirement, along with an army of cryptic crossword compilers, to write the receipts. Baffled Carlisle purchaser, Wayne Hayes, said: "I got a slip confirming I'd paid £385 and a scroll of parchment saying ‘What walks on the earth but cannot see sky? Its eyes number 20, but has just six thighs'. "There was also a train ticket to Knutsford and a false moustache in the envelope. "Am I going to the rowing, the opening ceremony or the official firing of Seb Coe? For all I know I may even be competing in the bloody thing." The next stage will be a series of adverts directed by David Lynch and Darren Aronofsky featuring dream sequences and mathematical equations that will, according to organisers, 'spark image clouds in the collective unconsciousness of the public which will gradually reveal to them whether they managed to get to see any athletics or not'. The ticket lottery method is being adopted by other companies including Ryanair, whose owner Michael O'Leary was drawn to the arbitrary and completely unfair aspects. A spokesman said: "From next April a custumer who wants to go to Alicante could find they have actually bought 200kg of freight space in a flight to Uzbekistan." But the process was criticised by Olympologist, Tom Logan, who said: “In China everybody knew seven years in advance what event they'd be going to see and how many times they would be required to clap their hands together. "The only thing we've got right is telling Boris Johnson to piss up a rope."
  15. I would point out one seizure does epilepsy not make. Could be any number of reasons he has had a seizure and time will tell which it is, but it shouldn't necessarily have any impact on his career or even prospects of starting the season in July. Southern General is the centre for Neurology/Neurosurgery in the West of Scotland, if not Scotland as a whole so he was certainly in the best place. All the best to Clangers and here's for a swift recovery.
  16. Sorry to disappoint you all but as I have an afternoon off I will probably be watching Andy's game which means he will lose and be knocked out the French Open
  17. I believe it does. As some one who doesn't mind the current split I would say the 14 team league suggestion is utter madness. If I remember correctly split would be after 26 games with a top 6 and bottom 8. Yeeeehaaaa
  18. Sept dates in 2011 are designated "international matches" we play the Czechs. The ones in 2012 will be just after Euro 2012 so probably won't have started WC qualifying by then. This Feb we played NI in the Celtic Cup (friendly)
  19. I presume the qualifiers are "international match days" although would need to check. All these dates will be dates that National Leagues will not be allowed to hold league games on (or if they do will need to allow players to leave for International duty if picked). Of course you don't HAVE to play friendlies but many will.
