  1. Kind of skipped over this bit before but looks like he suggesting that in the future they may engineer a change in the League Cup just so that the OF can fuck of and earn big bucks from their world wide bigoted following. Scandalous stuff
  2. Great news that the SPL is starting a couple of weeks early, in July, to allow better preparation for early Euro games and less midweek games in winter (should be even earlier though IMHO). Shame then that they have to go inserting a get out clause so that the OF can go off and play in "glamour" friendlies to rake in even more cash. If they can't fulfil the fucking fixtures they should be punished as any other team would be, not given permission to fuck off out the country for a week, thus meaning some other SPL club suffers with a midweek game rather than a weekend match, with all the reduction in crowd numbers and corporate money that entails.
  3. Great work by Luke Donald in the WGC Match Play last week to get himself to 3rd in the world. The rankings certainly make good reading now. When was the last time, indeed has it ever happened, that the top 4 in the World are all European? On top of that 6 of the Top 10 are European and we have 2 Scots in the Top 100 for the first time in a number of years Men's world rankings, 27 Feb 1 Martin Kaymer Ger 8.36 pts ave 2 Lee Westwood Eng 8.16 3 Luke Donald Eng 6.64 4 Graeme McDowell NI 6.44 5 Tiger Woods US 6.32 6 Phil Mickelson US 6.23 7 Paul Casey Eng 6.02 8 Rory McIlroy NI 5.65 9 Steve Stricker US 5.49 10 Matt Kuchar US 5.20
  4. I don't really understand the obsession with midfielders.
  5. Well done Brum and Eck. Just one observation: how fucking annoying is it having shit music pumping out drowning out the crowd noise. I think the blues fans are quite capable at making a real atmosphere themselves.
  6. I would think we're more in need of cover at FB, given Deek ended up there yesterday
  7. We play Saints on Wed. Anybody notice the far side linesman sprint off down the tunnel at half time, think he must have shat himsel'
  8. That's nothing like the rant I thought you were going to post padre
  9. Look out for the Football Years on STV in a few weeks
  10. In/Oot: In Pre-Match: Car from weeglandia, the land of the toothless pish stained and unintelligible Match: RDU Post-Match: Back home to weeglandia Prediction: Tough game for us and would take a point right now
  11. Not sure but I think we have: Hartley (past it), Young (never had it) Fyvie (coming off a year out), Pawlett (seemingly lost his spark). Although that could be Hartley (inspirational leader and tons of experience), Young (excellent squad player, will always give 100%), Fyvie (best prospect in years) and Pawlett (most exciting player with the ball at his feet since Jess)
  12. Fucking hell. Is Peter Hain talking some amount of shit. It's ok to sell weapons to dictatorships apparently as we tell them to behave and not use them against their own people or be naughty. Is he fucking mental? Jesus i'm even agreeing with Fraser Nelson!
  13. So this weeks panel on Question Time. Who is the most unbearable? Janice Street Teeth or Fraser-edinburgh toff- the Spectator editor.
  14. Apparently RockNess is trying to ban Neds, well ned "attire" whatever that is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-12559078
  15. I'd agree mostly but not sure about clangers. I still think he is a reasonable keeper and probably as good as we can get but then he has been so closely associated with recurrent failures in big matches.
  16. Interesting to note what sides have needed in previous years to get top 6 (shamelessly stolen from Mad (thanks CaddyCarhandle) which would suggest we will have to pull off a fairly stunning set of results to get into top 6. Never mind, perhaps a run of 5 wins from the bottom 6 will be better preparation for the cup final anyway 2009/10: 6 - 44 points (Hearts) 7 – 41 points (St. Johnstone) 2008/09: 6 - 42 points (Hibernian) 7 – 41 points (Motherwell) 2007/08: 6 - 44 points (Aberdeen) 7 – 42 points (Falkirk) 2006/07: 6 - 44 points (Hibernian) 7 - 40 points (Falkirk) 2005/06: 6 - 48 points (Aberdeen) 7 - 44 points (Motherwell) 2004/05: 6 - 43 points (Motherwell) 7 - 42 points (Inverness Caledonian Thistle) 2003/04: 6 - 42 points (Dundee United) 7 - 38 points (Hibernian) 2002/03: 6 - 42 points (Dundee) 7 - 39 points (Hibernian) 2001/02: 6 - 42 points/ -2 (Hearts) 7 - 42 points/ -9 (Kilmarnock) 2000/01: 6 - 41 points/ +6 (Dundee) 7 - 41 points/ -16 (Dunfermline Athletic)
  17. I see BB has posted that Maguire and Milson have been offered been offered new contracts but what about the rest of them. Am I correct in saying Langfield, Diamond and Aluko are all out of contract, along with McNamee? Also we have Smith till the end of the season on loan but I think he is contracted to Norwich for another year, I presume very little chance of keeping him. Anyone else out of contract?
  18. So it is, ok maybe get a point out of that after all
  19. Yeah realistically even two wins from the first four games won't be enough. We also have an away game at ibrox to fit in (0 pts)
  20. Probably be off, but happy to work if need be. My preferred option is either up a mountain in the middle of no where or in a pub-with-no-tvs for the day.
  21. With an election coming up it could be kicked into the long grass till June (just a guess)
