  1. Think we may be heading up there rather than trying to get a taxi at half two from town as will inevitably happen. Maybe see you there
  2. Presume Foster is back for this but not sure MM will make many if any changes. Would love to see Pawlett out on the right with Aluko on the left as one of most impressive displays last season was in the first half of the game at Pittodrie we won 2-1 when these two tore Saints to shreds. Anyway In or Oot : In!! Furry Boots : Probably try for the usual away end but if, as I suspect, we are running late then maybe the other end. Pre Matcher: Some Perth Town centre boozer (any suggestions, never made it to any pubs in Perth before) Post Matcher: Train back to the weeg Prediction : 1-1
  3. Cheers for the link Interesting to see the plans in detail. I note the Supporter's bar will be a capacity of 500, wonder how they will work out who gets in or will it be first come first served? Also if you look at the plans in details there will be TV screens in two of the corners and the away fans will be in the South end of the East Stand. The South stand looks like it will be really well kitted out with 26 exec boxes as well as two legends bars/hospitality areas and various other function suites. The Shop and Ticket Office will be separate, unlike now where you have to fight your way past queues of folk trying to get tickets to get into the shop and the Museum will be on the first floor above this along with a Starbucks. Will also be room for expansion of these facilities etc if we ever need them. Also good to see the Away team dressing room is a good bit smaller and that we have a "warm up area" incorporated. Presumably at the moment any indoor warm up involves running up the corridor. The memorial Garden looks a bit contrived but will feature the granite facing from the Merkland Road Stand. All very interesting, now to find some money to build the fucking thing.
  4. In a shock development afc are seeking our views on footballing matters!! RedWeb Article: http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20100818/summer-football-_2212158_2126841 Survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W7583MP
  5. One went on the left corner and the other two to the right. What you talking about?
  6. Dear fuck, what the hell is going on with that studio?
  7. Hartley saying there will be 5000 of us down at Perth. There is only one thing that usually happens in these situations and it's not a Dons win
  8. Clean forgot about Westwood but he does look a better bet than his fellow countryman. I see none of our "stars" are coming back to Europe to try and qualify for the Ryder Cup automatically prefering to play in the FedEx play-offs. Current standings: WORLD POINTS 1 LEE WESTWOOD 422.0 2 RORY McILROY 316.9 3 MARTIN KAYMER 285.4 4 GRAEME McDOWELL 249.3 5 Luke Donald 231.1 6 Edoardo Molinari 218.4 7 Ian Poulter 211.2 8 Padraig Harrington 204.9 9 Justin Rose 195.7 10 Francesco Molinari 172.5 EUROPEAN POINTS 1 Lee Westwood 3,446,137 2 Martin Kaymer 2,638,282 3 Rory McIlroy 2,368,205 4 Graeme McDowell 2,307,041 5 IAN POULTER 2,238,874 6 ROSS FISHER 1,708,614 7 FRANCESCO MOLINARI 1,612,747 8 MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ 1,499,775 9 PAUL CASEY 1,487,776 10 Padraig Harrington 1,486,529 Capitals denote players in qualifying positions. Top four on world list qualify, plus top five on European list not already qualified. Montgomerie has three wildcard picks in addition.
  9. Good to see another European winning but how gutted must Johnston feel after grounding his club? And as for Watson's crazy shot choice for his 2nd at 18 in the playoff!! Having said that McIlroy may be the most gutted given the chances he missed for birdies on the back nine. He'll have his day soon however and certainly looks more likely that the English trio of Casey, Donald and Poulter to win a Major in the next few years.
  10. Was a very encouraging performance. However we started nervously and Hamilton had a couple of good chances with even Casper popping up at the back post with a chance but only managing a passback to Howard. Once we went 1-0 up though we were in total control, with Aluko looking dangerous and Hartley and Folley doing well in the middle. At the time felt the 2nd pen was maybe a bit dodgy but even Reid doesn't seem to have any complaints about them being awarded. Took our foot off the gas last 30mins and made changes to allow Pawlett, Aluko and Hartley a wee rest. Overall couldn't have hoped for a better start to the season. Long term not convinced that 4 centre backs in defence is a good idea and for me Pawlett has to be playing out wide right where he can utilise his pace and skills to run at defenders (Charlie Mulgrew anyone?). Howard did nothing wrong and deserves to keep his place but really had fuck all to do other than field a couple of high balls, which it has to be said he dealt with very well. Hamilton were poor, and have an even worse record than us for opening day fixtures. St Johnstone will be a far tougher test and a point there would still be a reasonable result.
  11. There was nothing wrong with my eyes after ca megabus trip from Glasgow. After a train journey back from Aberdeen is another matter.
  12. Final round of the PGA is looking tasty with five players within a shot of the lead.
  13. There's only one Paul Hartley. There's only one Paul Hartley. He used to be gay but now he's ok. Walking in a Hartley wonderland.
  14. He looks a decent player at times (eg against Scotland) but too often flatters to decieve or just doesn't turn up. £500,000k per week or anything in that ball park is utter madness. Are Man City fans not anxious that when these Arabs get fed up in a few years they're club will cease to exist?
  15. In or Oot : In!! Furry Boots : usual seat in the RDU. Came close to not renewing but looking forward to it as much as ever Pre Matcher: Some where in town for a bit of grub Post Matcher: Train back to the weeg Prediction : 1-1 (better than last season.....)
  16. Actually as I ever I can't quite help feeling a wee bit excited that I'll be heading up to Pittodrie tomorrow. Of course I know that excitment will probably wane with in minutes but there is still that anticiaption building inside me. Added to that is the fact we have all these new players who I haven't seen perform for afc before and hopefully Pawlett and Aluko coming back to fitness. Line up tomorrow I would hope will be: Langield McArdle Diamond Ilfil Considine Pawlett Fyvie Hartley Aluko Striker A Striker B Of course Pawlett and Aluko might not be fit so I suppose Mackie and Young would come in on the flanks (not that I'm suggesting this is a good idea btw) Bring on the new season!
  17. But that was the whole problem, she wasn't psychotic at the time of her trail and didn't need treatment.
  18. I'd hardly say it was set up to let dangerous people out. As they said in the programme it was a unique situation. She was clearly psychotic when she commited the murder, therefore not felt to be guilty of murder, only man slaughter. If she was still psychotic she would be detained until such a time that she was no longer psychotic and a danger to the public. This is what usually happens and can mean years of incarceration beyond her sentance. In this case she has some super rare condition where by the psychosis is fleeting and unpredictable. By the sounds of it if she were never to see her sister again she would pose no threat to anybody, yet if she does then there will always be a risk she relapses. Can't really blame the law too much for such an unusal presentation.
  19. what the what now? Challenge cup I presume? :lolabove: :lolabove: :lolabove:
  20. They seemed to score more in one game than we have all pre-season
  21. Where the fuck was the season preview in the herald today?! I want my pound back.
