  1. Just the OF ones unfortunately.....have to wait another 63mins till they are up on the beeb
  2. four wins from five. Wins vs Hearts x2, United and Killie. Looking good for 2010. Vital we push on from here, our biggest win at swinecastle in 18 years. Team has certainly been playing better stuff in recent weeks although the lack of any attacking threat was holding us back. Hopefully the team can take confidence from tonight's performance and delighted to see Fyvie scoring as after his attempts at goal vs Saints I wondered if he ever would. .....and to think that game was won without our best player this season, Pawlett, and our potentially most dangerous player, Aluko.
  3. Tims calling for the Monkey's Heid
  4. quote of the night: "Hearts trying to prevent humiliation now"
  5. Why continue an argument that was boring last season with pathetic statements like this anyt ime anything goes right for the team? At what point will folk just let it go? (and I include those that take the opposing but equally boring view as you)

  7. So...... Airdire United v Raith Rovers tonight
  8. Poor game, especially the first half which was laughably inept. Neither side had any cutting edge until Kyle came on and it was always going to take something special or a monumental fuck up for a goal to be scored. Credit to Dung for a cracking goal, left footed volley from about 12yds into the top corner which was the lone shining light in an otherwise dull game. Having said that we were clearly a far better side than killie and you get the feeling with a fit and motivated Aluko down the left, Pawlett down the right and Zander back in defence to shore things up we could have a decent, creative, attacking side.....only thing is we need a striker or two to put the ball in the back of the net. Unfortunately injuries and the need to give Pawlett a rest meant we have almost no creativity, had to resort to some kind of 4411 formation and lacked any kind of width what so ever; I lost count of the number of times I was screaming at Marshall to make a run out to the left wing when Grassi had the ball. A win is a win and keeps us in touch with well and hearts with games in hand. We have to get a striker in this week otherwise any faint hope of a european challenge, cup run or even top six (sic) may well slip from our grasp.
  9. Is this in Daily Mail land?
  10. he still got it wrong after being corrected and sadly I don't think he was taking the piss either
  11. There is protecting your home and then there is chasing a guy down the street and battering him till he has brain damage. That whole discussion was about semantics (I mean what the fuck is the difference between "reasonable force" and "disproportionate force") and posturing by the tories on the panel. They guy was correctly found guilty but perhaps didn't warrent 9yrs in prison. The appeal court did not acquit him but felt that his sentance was too long.
  12. Liked the Lib Dem lass. Only one that had something sensible to say that wasn't jumping on the usual bandwagons. Shame the rest of her party aren't of such quality. The non-political guests were horrific. Madely is a prick and Andrew Roberts is repulsive.
  13. boo fancied a draw there. Replay would have been on Wed.....nice preparation for playing us on Saturday
  14. The BBC disnae seem to be up dating this at all! From ESPN, latest: Albion Rovers 0 - 0 Stirling Albion Ayr United 1 - 0 Brechin City Edinburgh City 1 - 2 Montrose Forfar Athletic 0 - 3 St Johnstone Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2 - 0 Motherwell Kilmarnock 0 - 0 Falkirk Ross County 4 - 0 Inverurie Locos
  15. Over Christmas I discovered Wallander. Excellent, dark Swedish cop drama. Only seen one of the original Swedish series but I'm told it is even better than the BBC version.
  16. good they are doing an offer but why all these clauses every time. Just make it half price, pay on the gate FFS sake
  17. Special mention to his keepy-uppies over on the right in the first half though. Difficult to pick any standouts from a match where we were seemingly comfortable but equally created fuck all. Bit unsure why Pawlett was out on the left 1st half while our lack of width in a five man midfield was startling, as was the fact the full backs seemed to have been ordered to stop on the half way line.
  18. Yeah he did and managed to kick out at one St Mirren player and elbow another one in the head.
  19. No and no. Bobby: Ifil was up for corners but yet again doesn't even get near to winning the ball never mind directing it on target or scoring. We have precisely no threat with out Zander or Consi at set pieces.
  20. Grassi - Mince, looks like a panic buy to fill a gap....which he was. Young - Has done ok when given chance this season. I don't particularly rate him but he is on pennies and probably a decent squad player to have as he can play anywhere bar in goals. Duff - Suspect he will be moving on fairly soon or in the summer given MM has hardly used him. Ifil - Not long signed him. Only fit centre back. Obviously a lump o'wood but if he remembers his limitations can do a job for us. Hell he'll have too given our squad size. Wright - Totally useless. However if we can con someone into buying John Stewart maybe somebody will pay up for him. Mackie - We all know his limitations and if we need better. Maguire - Will get slated for this but still hope that he can develop into a player for us. Maybe needs farmed out to division one to get some games through the middle under his belt. Clearout ain't the answer. We need more players not less. To be more precise we need a striker. If we can convert all this possession and good midfield work into goals we have the nucleus of a reasonable side. We just need someone to stick the ball in the net.
