  1. As poor a performance as I have seen at Parkhead for some time, and certainly the worst I have seen since we played Celtic first time round, perhaps even worse as atleast we "won" the 2nd half of that game. Terrible formation. No fight, spririt or desire on show (we seemed to be trying to get through the game without making a tackle). First red card we've actually deserved, and then to top it off I hear the Fyvie went of injured (I was in the pub by this time). Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office as we are much better than that. With so much of our game reliant on the kids it is perhaps inevitable we will suffer performances like this from time to time, and if we're going to play badly probably better to do it at Parkhead than against Hamilton or Hibs in the next few weeks. Biggest concern was the total absence of midfield. The formation had alot to do with that but perhaps we also missed Kerr badly in there. And although I'm not sure of the question I'm pretty sure McDonald ain't the answer.
  2. Seems an amazingly small number of times we have been drawn vs them in the cup. I'm sure we have played other "top" sides a hell of alot more. 3. Aberdeen v Hearts Scottish Cup by Kevin Stirling Aberdeen were some 93 years in existence before they were beaten by Hearts in a Scottish Cup tie. In nine previous matches it was Aberdeen that prevailed on each occasion. Of all eleven previous Scottish Cup ties between the sides, Aberdeen have only lost twice, although they were the last two meetings in 1996 and again in 2006. The Dons first meeting with the Tynecastle club came at Pittodrie in 1920 and in what was the first season of football after the end of World War 1, a classic Jock Hutton pile-driver put Aberdeen through to a meeting with Albion Rovers. Some 30 years later when both Aberdeen and Hearts were about to make their mark in the game, it was the Dons who held the upper hand over the Tynecastle side with four Scottish Cup ties and Aberdeen emerging unscathed. Despite the heralded 'Terrible Trio' of Conn, Bauld and Wardhaugh, they could not do anything against the Dons, whose own Allister, Young and Glen prevailed. Aberdeen reached the final in both 1954 and again a year later and Hearts were beaten in both seasons. In March 1954 a rampant Aberdeen won 3-0 in a display of pace and power that had Hearts outclassed in front of what was the highest ever Pittodrie attendance of 45,061. A year later Hearts again returned to Pittodrie for a replay and the visitors adopted a physical approach in a bid to stop the Aberdeen juggernaut. A Jackie Allister goal at Tynecastle had given Aberdeen a draw and a replay at Aberdeen. Goals from Harry Yorston and Paddy Buckley put Aberdeen through to a semi final clash with Clyde. The Dons last win over Hearts in the Scottish Cup was again at the quarter final stage in 1990, the last time the Dons won the cup. At Pittodrie a full house witnessed a demolition of the much hyped Hearts defence with Craig Levein getting the run-around from Hans Gillhaus & Co. 4. and who have sky picked out of that lot to show Live to the nation? Hamilton v Rangers
  5. The man charged with sending off a player in red on Saturday is Mike Tumilty.
  6. Meadow, Locos or Edinburgh City away please Stirling Albion would be good too
  7. What fucking game do they think was getting played yesterday. Never a pen in a million years
  8. My god I got drunk on the way home last night. Not helped by the train packing up in Dundee meaning an extra hour hanging about dundee train station on the way home. Feared the worse with Diamond, Ilfil, Considine, McDonald, Aluko and Fyvie all out but the boys done good. Boyd had a couple of great chances but yet again showed he bottles it against the big teams. They lacked any ideas or invention while we more often than not tried to look for a pass out of trouble (esp the kids). Not a single bad performance for us and a special mention to the make shift defence but I thought Pawlett and Paton were again stand outs. The thought of having another 4.5 yrs of Pawlett makes me moist. One of the most satisfying wins over the scum in a while. As well as being unbelievably piss poor they are back to a team rammed packed with utter cunts. From Durrant and McCoist on the sidelines to McCulloch, Laugherty and Boyd on the park. But the cunt of cunts has to be that wee sack of shite novo. Clearly he fucking hates us, which makes his increasingly limited and inept performances against us even sweeter. And nice of him to yet again demonstrate the undoubted dignity of rangers fc:
  9. no had the sfa kit on, complete with SpecSavers(sic) logo I thought they said his name was someone McQueen Whoever he was, quite clearly a cunt
  10. I'm sure it would be on hearts "trophies won" list
  11. shame the jambo at the back gifted ingerland a goal
  12. gonna watch it on Sky Watch out for Feruz too, he looks some player
  13. Both are terrible ideas Merging two clubs with supports c6000 will not make a club with a support of c12000, it will make a club with a support c1000 Even if the new Dundee club magically started pulling in bigish crowds they would be no bigger than us, hibs or hearts and certainly wouldn't offer any more of a challenge to the OF than Utd do at the moment
  14. In/out: In and, for what feels like the first time in ages for a home hun game, not driving! Pre-match: Dodging huns on the train north, then probably the Broadhill Match: RDU Post-match: Dodging huns by heading to a pub in town, then train south Prediction: ummm, ahhhh 1-1
  15. utter nonsense give it rest just for once
  16. A massive 41,000 Loyal fans at the Hunnery tonight
  17. So can we build over Pittodrie Street or not?

  20. we certainly haven't had the rub of the green much this season. How about a dodgy pen for us followed by a perfectly good goal disallowed by them....all in the last 5 mins.
  21. I'm no betting man but these look pretty good odds 7/1 Meadow with bet 365 , vs Arbroath in the cup
