SNOW MELTS, CLAIMS MET OFFICE SNOW is a delicate substance made of tiny ice crystals and unlikely to last forever, the Met Office claimed last night. Experts insisted the granular material had a soft and open structure that was very likely to turn into water, and was not an airborne member of the notoriously hardwearing diamond family. As millions of Britons stocked up on anti-wolf equipment, climatologists claimed the snow would disappear within days as rising air temperatures resulted in the breakdown of its crystalline structure in a process they referred to as 'melting'. A Met Office spokesman, said: "Snow is a notoriously unstable material, which is why we never use it to build bridges. "Try picking it up, notice how the warmth of your hands makes it go soft and disappear. In fact, the only thing it is guaranteed to withstand is a 12-ton London bus." He added: "Of course, there is always a chance this is the beginning of a hundred year winter that will only end when four unbearably smug public school children become our rulers after pushing their way through the back of a magic wardrobe, stealing some very expensive coats and befriending a talking lion who's actually Jesus." But trainee solicitor and amateur survivalist Julian Cook said he was now prepared for a permanent, snow-based society after watching Sky News non-stop for 16 hours and reading the Daily Mail's 12-page supplement, Wolves! Everywhere! He added: "Sssshhhhh! They can hear how fat you are."
  3. Better get third or win the cup then Unrealistic ASC
  4. The main problem on Saturday was our tactics. We were far too narrow and never looked like finding our way through or round their oap collective in the back 5. They created the only decent chances (1 or 2) of the game and took one. I understand JC has accepted that his 352/532 pish was at fault on saturday, just a shame he didn't change things at the time, other than to randomly throw "strikers" on to the park. Obviously a real opportunity missed with hearts and united losing. Just need to make sure we beat the pair of them. Perhaps we are going to have accept a couple of performances like this every now and then given the quality of the squad. Maybe that was a Hamilton game again. Then a rotten one goal win over East Fife (Alloa) followed by a decent, if slightly lucky away win at Tyncastle (Killie) followed by a hammering of United (celtic) at Pittodrie.

No buses running in London? WTF is that all about?
  6. Nae fucking about the day. With united hopefully getting beat by the huns we should be above them when the visit pittodrie in 2 weeks time
  7. from P&B allegedly from something called creditsafe.com
  8. Turns out only one team from the top ranked country would automatically qualify to play some team in leichtenstein in July. As Scotland are sitting third in the table we would go into the hat with 11 other countries for the two remaining places. And even then we would need to hope they guy in the pink shirt scored afc as the fairest in the spl. In other words lets just concentrate on finishing 3rd and let hearts, united and hibs worry about this
  9. Don't shoot the bleedin' messenger I did say allegedly. In anycase did St Mirren not clear their debt thanks to Tesco?
  10. Aberdeen travel to play Falkirk on Saturday. The Bairns have not beaten Aberdeen at Pittodrie since 22.2.1958 (lost 2-1). Aberdeen are yet to lose at Westfield and the last Falkirk win in Falkirk was 5.11.1994. (lost 2-1) However it will be another very difficult game for the Dons. Jimmy Calderwood also has a few central defensive concerns. The manager spoke to RedTV at lunchtime. "Zander is a doubt. He got stitches in an ankle knock. We have still got two days until the game so we will see how he goes. Also Andrew Considine is suspended after picking up a booking against Kilmarnock. So we could be two central defenders down. Jamie Smith is still not back but everyone else is fit.

  12. Apparently "fair play" is not just about bookings and sendings off if you believe this tripe taken from P&B. Originally from http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/fairplay.html so likely to be correct
  13. All very well saying that but as you said we only made a profit last year thanks to europe, our first real profit in.....well maybe ever. We can't afford to pay over the odds. Seve and the rest will be getting offered perfectly reasonable wages (that's why Seve came here after all). If they don't like it they can lump it. Although I would suggest a call to Maybury before doing anything too rash
  14. All I gather from that is we need to finish third or europe will interrupt our annual attempt at a meaningful pre-season in Holland
  15. I mean it seems we have finally found a replacement for Anderson. Seve and Diamond have been pretty good together over the last few games, probably as good a partnership as we have had. If Seve leaves we will actually have to find a proper replacement for Anderson.
  16. before the game I was looking at the bbc stats and I'm sure it said we hadn't had a 0-0 draw in 38 games! As disappointing as it was not to win, it was still pretty good knowing that the limit to rangers ambition was a 0-0 draw and that despite us not performing we came away with a point and remained undefeated at the dung heap
  17. Unbelievable article. The Ultras suffer enough from association with Italian Ultras in some folks eyes but that article takes it to a whole new level, someone was clearly upset that ra'sellick lost. How long have flags with "ultra" on been on show at dons games home and away? 10years? Anyway good luck to them down in the Y. I remember they started off down there but migrated to the RDU as it just didn't work. I'm sure for big games it will be great but I wonder how well it will work in the rain at a Killie game
  18. Would seem to be cutting his nose off to spite his face. Certainly won't get any more cash where ever he ends up. He's missed the boat down south you would think and at best will end up at united or hibs. As inconsistent and infuriating as he can be (pretty much like they whole side and management) he'll be badly missed and leaves us with that age old problem how do you solve a problem like russel anderson?
  19. Terrible game from what I saw. But definitely a better point for us than the huns. Has a more defence rangers side ever come to pittodrie? As poor as we were it dodn't really matter as rangers were absoulte guff as soon as they got any where near the penalty box. Only really looked dangerous when ferguson fed a few balls into feet, but even then you knew Miller wasn't going to score. Quite happy to play so badly and still get a point. 4 for 6 is more than adequate and 4pts from our next 6 should see us going head to head with United in 4 weeks time for 3rd place. Bring it on!

  21. They huns don't care about us, honest. Check out the winning bid here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110340156467&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:GB:1123
