  1. I suppose all games look hard but we better be picking a few points up in the games listed above as I've just seen what follows!! 2. The press and some hibs fans were after Mixu even before the season started
  3. I think JC should probably go sooner rather than later. This isn't based on 8 games this season but on the frankly shocking league and cup semi-final performances last year. I have no doubt that "things will pick up", they can't fail to given the shite in the league. I however can't say that I'm looking forward to another season(s) of random selections, bizarre tactics, shocking substitutions, inane ramblings and manufactured excitement when we sneak into the top six. I don't trust JC. I don't believe he really knows what he is doing on too many occasions. If he stays (he of course will, he won't be sacked unless we are still bottom at xmas and he will never walk away) I expect us to finish top 6 but have a long frustrating season in front of smaller and smaller crowds with yet again little to show for our season other than "top6"
  4. 2 stats Worst start since uncle ebbe's first season in 1999 JC's SPL record this calendar year: Played 26 Wins - Home: 6 Away: 3 Draws - Home: 3 Away: 1 Lost - Home: 6 Away: 7 Goals For: 30 Goals Against: 40
  5. 1. Its not knee jerk, we are are 8 games in, its October! And for most of last season 2. So we have to be adrift and lost at sea, not even bottom for it to be unacceptable?we're playing well, things will get better 3. Possibly, possibly not. I'm sure he would get another gig. Most likely at Falkirk or somewhere like Dundee 4. ROFL, no chance - hang on the board are stupid enough to stand behind Calderwood and extend his contract after humiliating defeats - you could be right!lets hope not
  6. P GD PTS 1 Celtic 8 11 19 2 Rangers 8 9 19 3 Kilmarnock 8 0 13 4 Hibernian 8 -1 13 5 Hearts 8 -3 12 6 Dundee Utd 8 0 11 7 Inverness CT 8 1 10 8 Motherwell 8 -2 10 9 Hamilton 8 -6 9 10 St Mirren 8 -2 8 11 Falkirk 7 -3 7 12 Aberdeen 8 -4 7
  7. Replays yesterday: Forres 2v0 Wigtown Brora 2v1 Newton Stewart AET Coldstream 2v2 Selkirk AET (Selkirk won 3-2 on pens) Spartans 1v0 Pollok
  8. FT St Mirren 1-0 Rangers Bottom of the league, unless Motherwell hammer Falkirk Currently Motherwell 2-1 Falkirk and of course Lovell scored again for the Bairns
  9. St Mirren 1-0 Rangers Position Team GD Points 1 Rangers 10 19 2 Celtic 7 16 3 Hearts -2 12 4 ICT 2 10 5 Kilmarnock -1 10 6 Hibernian -2 10 7 Hamilton -2 9 8 Dundee United -1 8 9 St Mirren -2 8 10 Falkirk -2 7 11 Motherwell -3 7 12 Aberdeen -3 7
  10. ICT's first ever win Hamilton's first win in something like 70yrs Surely Falkirk will smash another record and beat us for the first time since the 50s. Can't see a win until St Mirren tbh
  11. Are we the new Falkirk. We played well? Well whoopee-fucking-doooo. Doesnae matter a fuck how well we play as we have nobody capable of putting the ball in the back of the net. It is then inevitable that a poor defensive mistake or some shocking refereeing will cost us games. Losses to ICT, Hamilton, United and Hibs at home. When is that ever acceptable? When will we get that first win? No opportunity till November now and can't say I confident about beating even Killie at home. Not looking good
  12. 6th in a 10 team league when we'd spent the last 15 years in 1st or 2nd
  13. And here is the paradox Some amazing European results but piss poor league form for well over a year now (except for a brief spell pre and post split when we shot up to 4th, mainly due to everyone elses total shitness)
  14. What I'm suggesting is that if all those clubs can get to cup finals while we can't despite greater resources then it suggests there is something wrong with our players and by extension our manager. Even when we were historically poor, say the 60s, we still got to the odd final, so I don't think I am being crazily unrealistic. It is WM and SM's decision on how much our wage budget is. It is up to JC how he spends that Sorry it was just that your comments about expectations read as if lifted straight from that rag Cup games are invariably against the same teams we "scrape consistency" against in the league. Yes we managed to beat Celtic so why can't we beat QotS? Plenty of other clubs "scrape consistency" in the league and get to the odd cup final, why not us. They clearly don't have more "big game players". JCs cup record is nothing short of appalling. Quite possibly true however the evidence would suggest JC cannot get this group of players, a group of players he has brought in, to be motivated, organised or have even the most basic of skills. I would blame him for that
  15. Still we spend more on wages and have a greater turnover than most other clubs We DO spend more on wages than those clubs you have listed. And even if our wages are not "streets ahead" it still doesn't excuse the terrible football, crazy tactics and awful results we have had to endure in the last year. So it is acceptable to get beaten by QotS and United like we did last season? So it is acceptable that since we got to a cup final dunfermline, livi, gretna, dundee, dundee united, hearts, hibs, queen of the south, killie, motherwell and ayr united have all got to finals? Where is anyone saying that? You seem to believe everything the Daily Retard tells you. What I, and I think most dons fans, would hope for is: 1)Consistancy in the league, challenging for a european spot most seasons 2)With a european run seen as a bonus, with the hope we don't humilate ourselves (see Bohemians) 3)Cup semi finals on a reasonably regular basis 4)With Cup finals maybe every 4-5years 5)With the odd cup win thrown in Surely that isn't too unrealistic for a club of Aberdeen's size when football is increasingly determined by the size of your club A bit of investment would make a huge difference (see Hearts, Gretna, Livi) before they went tits up. However longterm a sustainable club not dependent on handouts is what is required JC has bought well He has also bought really badly He has also shown that he cannot organise or motivate these players often enough
  16. Bigger attendances than all except the OF, Hearts and Hibs (and more than the edinburgh sides until JC came along) Bigger sponsorship deals and more corporate hospitality All result in bigger wages and meant we have spent money in recent years while everyone else, bar hearts, have barely spent a cent. True. However given that almost every other team in the SPL (and many 1st division sides) have been in cup finals since we were last there would suggest that even by the law of averages we should have had one ourselves by now. Equally this is our worst run in the cups since before the war, so while our reputation doesn't guarantee anything it would seem that we are seriously under performing and have been for 15years. I would say that this is not good enough We are lacking in the performance part but we have had the funds that should have ensured we have the manager and players to perform better that we are. No there we have proof that there are serious questions over JC and the players he has amassed.
  17. Lochee United F.C. are a Scottish junior football club from the Lochee area of Dundee. Formed in 1892, they play their home games at Thomson Park, which has room for 3,200 spectators, 170 of whom can be seated. Their colours are blue and white hoops. They are currently managed by former journeyman midfielder Ray McKinnon. They currently play in the Scottish Junior Football Association's East Region Super League. United's most recent success was winning the East Super League in 2008, as a result they will be participating in the Scottish Cup for the first time. They are one of two junior clubs from the Lochee area of Dundee, the other being Lochee Harp. current league positions Linlithgow Rose 4 2 0 0 4 1 2 0 0 2 0 5 12 Bonnyrigg Rose 3 1 0 0 2 1 2 0 0 5 1 5 9 Lochee United 4 1 1 1 3 4 1 0 0 3 2 0 7 Boness United 4 1 0 0 2 1 1 0 2 3 6 -2 6 Kelty Hearts 4 1 1 1 5 4 0 1 0 0 0 1 5 Camelon Juniors 4 0 0 2 3 5 1 1 0 4 1 1 4 Glenrothes 3 1 0 1 2 1 0 1 0 2 2 1 4 Hill of Beath Hawthorn 3 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 1 2 2 0 4 Forfar West End 4 1 0 0 2 1 0 1 2 2 5 -2 4 Bathgate Thistle 4 1 0 1 3 3 0 0 2 2 4 -2 3 Whitburn Juniors 3 0 1 1 2 3 0 1 0 1 1 -1 2 Tayport 4 0 1 1 1 2 0 0 2 0 5 -6 1
  18. squad = similar or better pish than most other spl sides resources - more than most 0 cup finals in 8 years = someone's having a laugh If we really are meant to believe that no cup finals in 8 years, 2 cup semis in the same period and no cup of any kind in 14 years (never mind no Scots Cup in 19) is acceptable I do really wonder what the fucking point in afc is anymore
