  1. Having been on Pie and Bovril recently folk are ranking us anywhere from 3rd to 8th
  2. JC was apparently taking this game in tonight. Who are we going to try (and fail) to sign? 3. [move]Mixu Paatelainen what a fucking signing[/move]
  4. I'm getting more and more angry about this by the day. I already have my ST and being the sucker I am will be backing the team every chance I get in the next year but the board really do nothing to encourage this blind support. I don't suppose there is anything that we as fans can do that will distract the board attention from the £10,000s to be made from OF fans. We might as well hand over our vote in the SPL to the OF at the same time as we give them their 5% ticket tax >
  5. united cave in, expect a similar statement from afc in the coming days/weeks
  6. Paatelainen given touchline ban Hibernian manager Mixu Paatelainen has been given a two-match touchline ban following his dismissal in this week's friendly defeat by Cowdenbeath. Paatelainen was sent to the stands during the 2-0 defeat on 28 July. "Mixu Paatelainen will serve a two-match suspension," a Scottish FA spokesperson said. "The ban will begin on 11 August, unless he appeals." The Hibs boss will be banned for the home game against Falkirk and the away clash with Inverness a week later. Hibernian have failed to score in nine games and lost their Intertoto Cup tie against Elfsborg 4-0 on aggregate. Paatelainen was involved in a heated exchange with referee Brian Colvin before being sent to the stand at Central Park. MY SPORT: DEBATE hfc1973 The Easter Road club have yet to find form and have lost pre-season matches against Barcelona, Cowdenbeath and Clyde, while they struggled to a goalless draw against Raith Rovers. Paatelainen says he is keen to add some firepower to his squad but will have to watch the opening two games of the SPL season from the stand. Speaking on Wednesday, he said: "I want to bolster the striking department. We haven't scored too many goals. "Am I worried? No, because we have goalscorers in the side. I know we will score goals, there's no question about that. "We have players who create chances and we have players who score goals, no problem."
  7. wtf didn't even know we were playing Vitesse must be shite if they couldnae get past that defence, Mair at RB and Considine at LB.....fuck me
  8. lost 3-0 to clyde tonight Apparently they haven't scored any goals all pre-season and infact their last goal was against us in their 4th last game of the season. So since scoring in the 54th min against us their results have been 0-0 vs Rangers 0-2 vs Celtic 0-2 vs Motherwell 0-2 vs Elfsborg 0-2 vs Elfsborg (again) 0-0 vs Raith Rovers 0-6 vs Barcelona 0-2 vs Cowdenbeath 0-3 vs Clyde So that is 846mins without a goal And they have that Steven Fletcher that is being chased by Real Madrid
  9. some more priceless quotes from Bain: Basically the Huns are saying: "Give us 5%. If not you can sell the tickets yourself but our fans are likely to rip up your stadium. It will of course be all your fault and despite they fact they all wear Rangers shirts, sing rangers songs and cheer rangers goals they are nothing to do with us" It is the SPL equivalent of "gie us your dinner money or I'll batter you" How dignified.
  10. By this logic if we all go on the rampage at Motherwell in a few weeks time then it will be Motherwell FC's responsibility as they will have issued us tickets at the gate. Incidentally according to the bbc, Falkirk, United, Hearts and Hibs are all going to issue tickets to OF directly rather than pay the OF ticket tax. If hearts and hibs can do this against the OF (hardly low risk matches) then I don't see why we can't. I do understand the stance that ?? ? is taking but the only way of beating this is by playing hard ball and calling the OFs bluff. If all ten SPL clubs say Fuck off we will quickly hear the end of this
  11. Like Falkirk have done? Because our board have no back bone and are too frightened that as they are selling the tickets they will get the blame if there is any trouble. Plus it would upset their mates in the boardrooms of ibrox and celtic park. I don't know who I am more pissed off with. The OF for being their usual arrogant, ignorant, selfish cunts or our board for being, yet again, fucking useless
  12. What absolute bullshit: Martin Bain, the Rangers chief executive, last night defended the Old Firm's decision to implement a 5% handling fee for allocating tickets for away games next season. Bain insists his club will not review the decision despite opposition from Hearts, Hibs, Falkirk and Dundee United. Falkirk, who host Rangers on opening day, have responded by selling tickets to Rangers fans directly; the others have intimated they will do likewise. "It is incredulous that, despite our attempts to explain this rationally to other clubs, some of them continue to refuse to accept our approach," said Bain. "Rangers supporters travel the length and breadth of the country, often paying premium prices for grounds which are often found lacking in overall facilities. This is about our fans. I believe they more than pay their way in Scottish football and we want to alleviate some of the financial pressure. "I am also disappointed at the other clubs lack of understanding of our continual efforts to make it as easy as possible to distribute their tickets with minimal cost and effort on their behalf. We help maximise ticket sales for SPL away grounds to the region of £2.5m, but accept this comes at a cost, hence our proposal for the reciprocal arrangement. "This would allow us to remove the costs currently borne by our fans.I am surprised that other clubs have failed to realise that we have maintained a core fan base for away matches and that base may drop off given the convoluted systems they are operating to sell tickets," added Bain, who confirmed the club are today set to make a new bid for Glen Loovens, the Cardiff City centre-half.
  13. Reading other boards there are apparently rumours around edinburgh that Mixu may quit due to the lack of financial backing from the board. Meanwhile their pre-season sounds an even bigger shambles than ours and the hibs fans all hate mixu's style of play as it doesn't conform to the flowing, passing, attacking style they feel is a hibs tradition. brilliant
  14. Maybe if afc is so frightened of getting the blame for any that trouble breaks out they should refuse to sell rantic tickets for pittodrie. After all if we are going to pay the OF 5% for the privilege of having their fans in our stadium it might as well be 5% of 0. Of course we would lose out a bit, although perhaps some folk who avoid OF games would be tempted to come and take their kids with the absence of scum in the SS, but surely it's better then pathetically accepting every outrageous tax and demand the OF request.
  15. I emailed afc twice last week via the useless feedback contact and still haven't heard anything. I presume they just delete anything that gets sent to that address. Also emailed someone at the ticket office who's email I had and he said that the problems of huns buying tickets at pittodrie and the possibility that afc would get blamed for the filths behavior in the SS means that afc are going to roll over accept their masters bidding. Fucking disgrace. How can fecking falkirk stand up to them while we just say "Yes Sir, how much sir, what ever you say" CUNTS
  16. who the fuck is mcguire? This team really must be shit: DZC 68 0:2 ABERDEEN Maguire 13, 22
  17. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/5c/d8/0,,10284~3725404,00.jpg[/img] The Aberdeen team to play fourth division side DZC 68' tonight at Sportpark, in the South of Doetinchem is as follows: Probable line-up: Bossu, Foster, Mulgrew, McDonald, Considine, Severin, Pawlett, J Smith, Miller, Maguire, de Visscher subs: Langfield, S Smith, Mair, Kerr, Stewart, Mackie, Paton. The team had a light training session this morning. Then after lunch the players rested ahead of the game tonight. Trialist Lecsinel Jean-Francois is still not 100% fit so it is unlikely he will be risked. Duff and Diamond are also both out however there was better news for Jimmy Calderwood as Lee Mair did train this morning and could take a place on the bench tonight.
  18. I'm suspect that afc may not be too keen on following Falkirk's lead due to concerns about exactly who would get tickets and who would be responsible for any trouble/vandalism caused. In the past Rangers controlled who got, and who didn't get, tickets and thus took responsibility for any trouble caused by their away support. AFC may feel that if they sell the tickets to the huns they will then be responsible for the behaviour of them in the "away" section of the SS.
  19. I think JC is in Holland for a piss up with his son and his "mates" Does that make me prejudiced? I've lost track of this thread
  20. Well done Hearts. Still waiting for afc to take some action.
  21. doesn't mean we can't get a new RB Seems failry unlikely however
  22. FFS What is it with afc and pre-season when was the last time we had one that wasn't a complete disaster?
  23. what ever they tell us presumably. AFC will be shitting it that either dons fans or the type of scum seen in Manchester get their hands on tickets for the Rangers end. The afc board seem to view us all as potential holligans and frankly can't stand us so I just can't see them taking the same kind of action which surely increases the risk of trouble.
