  1. won't be getting this lad then: undee Utd fix up fee for Dixon Paul Dixon Dixon is out of contract with First Division Dundee Dundee United have agreed a fee with city neighbours Dundee for defender Paul Dixon. The 21-year-old is out of contract at Dens Park but the First Division club are due compensation for nurturing the left-back. Kilmarnock were also keen on signing Dixon, who made his debut for the Dark Blues in July 2005. But it appears he will be making the short switch to Tannadice if personal terms can be agreed. Midfielder Scott Robertson, who captained Dundee last season, joined United under freedom of contract earlier this month.
  2. It's cheap and nasty that is all
  3. Recognition that the Scotland Manager never shows any interest in Aberdeen players?
  4. Who then? John Collins? Valdas Ivanauskas? Alex McLeish?
  5. 77. Aberdeen fans fall into two categories:The JC Is God Mob or JC Must Go Mob.
  6. I've been hearing various folk say the Dixon deal was "done" for weeks now. Still no sign of anything, either in the press, or from afc however
  7. did "championship promotion hopefuls" not include about 3/4 of the league this season?

  13. on a similar theme, it appears it woz the blacks and cafflicks wot dun it From a Hibs board, I assume it's originally from follow follow or the like:
  14. Apparently the huns are trying to get this guy booted off the Scottish Sun and are inundating his email in the hope he responds with a hun comment and they can get him sacked for "sectarianism" Here is his crime (and ignore the english twats introducing the piece) http://www.zshare.net/audio/1272048026c1c920/
  15. 14. We're Red. 15. They're Dead 16. We're bouncing on their heads.
  16. Aye We have had this discussion most days, every week, since August 4th 2007 (and in fact for a lot of the preceding 3 seasons too). So can we have a wee break until we lose to Dundee and Peterhead in preseason before zipping of to Holland for a few beers with Scott Calderwood Ok
  17. I only mention it if that is where I got a story from, as above. I use both sites and on this site, unlike some, we are quite happy to promote other afc related sites, we all support the same team after all. I have no idea about the folk that run the site hating aberdeen and aberdonians, but I have to admit that although I love the city, having been away from the NE for 10yrs your perspective on Aberdeen, Aberdonians and the North East in general changes a bit. Certainly some weegies-based views are over the top but there is more than a grain of truth in their observations.
  18. hot on the heals of darren young signing on at dens afc have dodged another bullet: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/huddersfield_town/7421952.stm Huddersfield agree Parker signing Huddersfield Town Huddersfield Town have agreed to sign Blackpool's Scottish striker Keigan Parker on a free transfer. The 25-year-old's contract expires at the end of June when he is expected to move to the Galpharm Stadium subject to a medical. Manager Stan Ternent told the club's website: "He gives us another option up front and he is genuinely quick. He is proven at this level of football. "We're really pleased to have him here but there are more to come." Parker joined Blackpool from St Johnstone on a free transfer in 2004 and helped the Seasiders gain promotion to the Championship in 2006/7 by scoring 16 goals. He rejected the offer of a new contract last autumn after failing to hold on to a regular first-team place.
  19. will the preseason friendly down at dens be the first time they have played against each other or did they meet when del was at thistle? Good excuse to go and shout abuse at darren (and see all our new signings)
  20. according to Aberdeen Mad (no sources) afc were approached to play in Dean Windass' Testamonial, at his request. However we are in Holland at the time so have turned them down
  21. Did we not work out last year that they just swapped the order of the fixtures around from the previous year? That would make our first game vs Falkirk. Doesn't really bother me who we get as long it is on a Saturday at 3pm
  22. so that looks like 4 players in, one of whom is a youngster. How many did JC say he was going to bring in? Eight or nine? When do Duff and Maybury get passed off as new signings?
  23. anyone else make money of stupid arabs who thought they would finish higher than us this season?
