CHAMPIONS!
It's official! RedMatchday is the best read in the whole of Scotland!
Having dominated the SPL awards for the last seven seasons now (2002-08), the Dons have finally nudged Clyde off their perch as Programme Monthly's Programme of the Year in Scotland after they have held the trophy for a dozen seasons.
For Aberdeen, it's the fifth time we have won the overall title, adding to wins in 1981, 1985, 1990 and 1992.
The Programme Monthly judges made particular mention of the fact that RedMatchday caries a greater volume of text than any of the competition, which means you get more to read for your hard earned cash - there's value for money!
RedMatchday is lucky enough to have some of the best writers in the country providing material. Contributors include AFC Club historian Kevin Stirling, Richard Gordon, Jimmy Calderwood, Ally Begg, Scott Severin, Andrew Morrison, Dave Macdermid, Red Final Editor Chris Crighton, researcher Colin Massie, English correspondent Bill Thomas, US correspondent Ian Thomson and European Expert George Rutherford.
The magazine is designed and produced by Chris Hallett at Cre8, edited by the Marketing team at Pittodrie - Lisa Sheran, Alan Hay and Malcolm Panton.
The photography is provided by Newsline Scotland and SNS Picture Agency. Photos are also provided by Andy Convey, Ray Smith, Kara Griffiths, Action Images and big thanks also to the Aberdeen Journals Library.
