  1. Yep, common sense has prevailed.

Great acceptance speech from Obama.  Hope he now gets the opportunity for some real change over the next 4 years.

Fat chance, still Republican dominated Congress so fuck all will happen for another 2 years, domestically at least.

In other news I heard Michelle Bachmann was struggling to hold her seat which can only be a good thing and that cannabis and gay marriage have been legalised in a couple of states

  2. Why are there always massive queues at American polling places? Is there s massive turnout or do they not have enough polling stations? In a lot of places you can vote weeks in advance which makes it even more bizarre.

  3. Shite draw all round, it'll be a minor miracle if any of the non-league teams get through.

Highland and Edinburgh derbies are good, the non-leaguers have been shafted and not sure what Elgin did to deserve another trip to Mordor.

Quite possibly the worst draw we could have got.  Will be a shite crowd and Well were easily the best side we've played this year.

  4. I think Smith/Brown/Low will need to come in to the middle against St. Mirren. Smith looked as though he played there when he came on? A couple of times he skinned his man, made space and picked out a pass. I think we're needing something like that to get the ball to strikers on the deck and not lumped up from the back.

Low is at Alloa is he not?

  5. Surely it is time for Vernon to be dropped. He works hard but his job is to score goals and is failing miserably at that.

How about starting, as we finished yesterday, with Hayes Fraser, McGinn and Smith on. Set up with Smith through the middle and McGinn just behind but all three could have the freedom to swap around.

Gets us playing to our strengths rather than hoofing the ball up to Vernon. Also means we aren't looking to runs from our super slow mo midfield either.

  6. Had the chances and possession to win the game to take advantage. Fair play to county, they had a game plan and stuck to it and were gifted two, nearly three goals.

This was always going to happen at some point and plenty other teams will drop points up there.

The important thing is how we respond and another very tough game at st mirren

    oh and:

The draw for the fourth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup will take place at Hampden Park on Monday 5 November at 2.30 pm.

Former Celtic and The Netherlands striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink will join Kenny MacLeod, Scottish FA Commercial Director, and Lindsay Wright, Director of Investor Relations at William Hill, to conduct the draw.

The fixtures will be played on Saturday December 1st

  8. So how should we line up tomorrow?

I might be inclined to drop Vernon for Smith but perhaps reverting to the team that drew at Tannadice and won vs Dundee would be a start.

The main issue maybe where to play Osbourne. Undoubtedly better in CM for the team but means Josh at RB when everyone and his dog knows his best position is impact sub up front (well apart from CB apparently)

The only other potential change for the team that played the Dundee teams would be to hook Clark and go 442 with McGinn pushed up top and starting with Hayes and Fraser out wide but I still feel we are a far better team with the extra man in midfield (even if it is Christine), particularly at a tough away ground like Victoria Park.

I never did my historical record bit at the start of this thread so here goes:

    Goals For 0

    Goals Against 0

    Home Record

    Played 1

    Won 0

    Drawn 1

    Lost 0

    Goals For 0

    Goals Against 0

    Away Record

    Played 0
