  1. ummm playing deep, with men behind the ball is about all we do when we go 1-0 up. I missed the gretna game but I would say it must be the exception that proves the rule. I'm thoroughly enjoying this season and will continue to do so. I'd much rather be successful than play ineffectual but "pretty" football like Falkirk or Hibs. It's up to JC to show that he can turn this seasons potential into some tangible success (in my eyes a cup final and europe again)
  2. Stolen from aberdeen-mad: On the left afc.co.uk's "honours" section. On the right the equivalent "Trophies won" section on the HoMFC website:
  3. I am in shock. I never actually believed that they would stump up £200,000 for Clark. Fucking superb bit if business and can't wait to see an Aberdeen side with no Clark filling in any where. Now lets hope JC uses this cash wisely.
  4. I think it will be easy enough to pay on the gate for this one

  6. I was just about to say, they'd be none of us left after some games
  7. He's just talking the game up to enhance his chances of the Scotland job. Was McGhee so media friendly when he worked down south?
  8. Well they are building another horrifically designed shopping centre, that the city very definitely does not need, that will incorporate the bus station if that is what you mean. Only thing I take from that story is that Aberdeen City Councillors seem to have no idea what area they actually govern over:
  9. FFS folk were going mental about having to treck from Union Street to Cove, how will they react with talk of a stadium in weegie slum that is Portlethen? Of course, presumably, it is just a lever to push the city cooncil with but tbh they'd be better off concentrating their efforts in ensuring that the cove (or kinglinks) plans come to fruition, in all their opulent glory
  10. well done afc and ffc. Still won't be travelling up from glasgow for it mind you.
  11. Great news Well done afc. Good bit of business, particularly as it looks like BN will sign too. The weegia must be gutted they have to put away all those Dons in Crisis headlines again
  12. home tie, we will be in the 6th round draw, nae doubt. Our home form is pretty incredible and I don't see Falkirk, Hamilton or Brechin changing that
  13. Mair is fucking awful and surely won't feature again after yesterdays efforts (although I've lost count how many times I have said the exact same this season)
  14. finally got in: http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?tno=4&fid=27&sty=2&act=1&mid=2130929524
  15. I would be can't get on their site
  16. they'll wait till the semi vs the arabs when they'll announce that BN and JC have signed new contracts
  17. Duff prepared for Tannadice exit Dundee United have told midfielder Stuart Duff he is free to leave during the January transfer window. The 25-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, joined United in 1999 and is the longest-serving player in the first-team squad. United manager Craig Levein said: "I've had a chat with Stuart and told him he's free to move if he can get something fixed up. "He's been a good servant but I feel a fresh start would be good for him." Duff made his Tannadice debut in 2001 and became the longest-serving player at the club when David McCracken left for Wycombe last summer. Levein said Duff would benefit from finding another club in the transfer window. "In football you sometimes need to freshen things up, and he's in a similar situation to what David McCracken was in this time last year," said Levein. "It would be more sensible for him to get a club where he's going to play games rather than sit on the bench here. "At his age he really needs to be playing on a regular basis. The United boss added: "He's a versatile boy who has plenty of Premier League experience, so I'd expect there will be a lot of interest in him." 18. Fans are reminded that this match is all ticket. There are a few tickets remaining at Pittodrie and tickets will also be available on Saturday from 1:30 at the ticket office located at the North Stand of the Falkirk Stadium, next to where the coaches are parked. Supporters who have purchased tickets from Pittodrie in advance will enter at gates 9, 10, 11 and 12. For supporters purchasing tickets at the Falkirk Stadium they will enter the temporary stand via gates 13 and 14. If you intend to purchase a ticket at the Falkirk Stadium please get there early as it is on a first come, first served basis.
  19. Great news, although always thought he would say. As has been said he can be a bit feel at times but he's nae stupid. He knows he has things good at the moment, equally he knows where he'd end up if he left (and equally how his chances of a move to sellick would plummet). If he continues his improvement next season he'll be captain the season after.
  20. ummm yes I think the same. Probably means we are all wrong and Barry will be Mixu's first signing at hibs
