Hard to say we missed Hughes when we were so good on Sunday but I think he has been excellent this season and having him back in the team allows Jack (preferably) or Osbourne to go to RB and Cadger back into the middle.
-
oh and the redtv commentary is hilarious.
They fucking hate the ref
-
Funny how the bbc edited out the various assaults on our players from Sunday.
Same old Hearts, always time wasting and booting our players into the stand, repeatedly.

Craig Brown this afternoon gave redweb an update on the injury situation at Pittodrie.
Defender Gary Naysmith will be sent for a scan on his hamstring following the injury he picked up in yesterday's game against Hearts.
Rob Milsom is further injury worry for the manager as he seeks advice on his recurring knee problem from a specialist. It is still too early to assess the extent of the injury but Craig confirmed it will be a reasonable length of time before the midfielder returns to action.
There is, however, some positive news as Stephen Hughes has responded well to treatment on his hamstring and is likely to be considered for this weekend's game against St Mirren at Pittodrie.
Niall McGinn is continuing to make good progress and has returned to light training meanwhile long term absentee Clark Robertson is now fit and alongside Jamie Masson is back in contention.

some has to be to balance all you miserable cunts

At least it wasn't Wigton and Bladnoch as that would be an extra 2 hours on the road.
That's further than England? Where the fuck is Wigton, or Bladnoch for that matter?

Blimey the negativity on here never ceases to surprise.
We were bloody excellent again on Sunday after a superb performance against Saints. It has been a long long time since I've seen such exciting attacking play from Aberdeen, seen such a dominant performance from Aberdeen and to have coped so comfortably with Hearts attempts at attacking.
The scoring is a concern but if we play like we did on Sunday and like we did against Saints we will score many more goals than we did last season.
The issue I think is the formation we are playing.
433 is working brilliantly for us in that we have 3 guys in the middle of the park bossing the game and 2 skillful, exciting wingers running at their men, beating them and delivering decent crosses.
Problem is Vernon by himself in the middle. I wouldn't ditch the formation to put someone next to him and not just because we basically tried that with McGinn v County are were horrendously lopsided.
The three in the middle are allowing us to control the game and dominate possession.
What we need is for someone in the middle of the park to take up some of the responsibility for getting forward and scoring. Rae and Jack had good chances on Sat and they need to make more of these.
Vernon has comfortably got into double figures in far worse teams than this the last few years. He needs to get some confidence back but he will be in the top 5 scorers in the league. Making a panic buy with a couple of days to go till the window slams shut has never worked before and won't work now.
In anycase we'll be fine

Team news from http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20120824/aberdeen-v-hearts-sun-26th-aug-2012-ko-3pm_2212158_2899271
"Russell Anderson and Rory Fallon (who both missed the trip to Greenock) have a chance to get back. We left Russell out to make sure he is ok for Sunday so I am hopeful he will be ok. Rory Fallon is back training. Next week Clark Robertson and Jamie Masson will both return to training. It is great to have these exciting young players back in the squad. -
Early season optimism on the wane anyone ?
No
we're gonnae win the league
-
I too have another BBQ this weekend but it's on Saturday again so unfortunately I'll still be able to attend the game on Sunday.
Prediction? Anti-climatic shite.
Really?
I'm looking forward to the match certainly more than a bbq in the pishing rain
-
So from a pretty big squad we have now lost
McGinn - injury 2 months
Fallon - injury
Milsom - injury - ages
Pawlett - loan
Paton -?loan
hmmm
-
In/Out: In
Pre-matcher: Archie's breakfast, supporters club meeting, pub
Match: RDU
Post-matcher: Home
Prediction: 2-1 Dandies
Gonnae post up what happens at the SC meeting, guessing could be interesting after ACC's decision this week
-
So no chance of Pawlett coming into the team after a good performance on Wed.
I hope Cadger is back in for Reynolds but otherwise would keep it as is.
Any word on Hughes, looked ok at Morton and didn't even realise he had a knock till the board went up.
Hearts looked decent last night, esp Templeton and that Lithuanian guy (well I presume he is) but we should be looking to win this.
In/Out: In
Pre-matcher: Car with a few other cunts and a few beers then the Caley if we get up in time
Match: RDU
Post-matcher: Back to the weeg with the same said cunts
Prediction: Nervous 1-0

I must have been on holibobs when the brainwashing was done. Thankfully.
We're brassed, we've won fuck all, our stadium is crumbling but we plan to build a brand new one out of fairy dust and magic beans.
And this is the fault of the council aye?
Cuckoo.
*snap* You're back in the room.
I'm not talking about anything else, I'm talking about Calder Park, so yes I'm more inclined to side with AFC on this than the Cooncil which has been repeatedly been shown by a menagerie of cunts
-
I think this move could be a good move for all parties concerned. If Pawlett wasn't going to get much game time with Hayes, Fraser and McGinn all before him in the pecking order then heading oot on loan was the best thing for him. We don't play St Johnstone again until the 22nd of December and even when we do, I very much doubt he'll be allowed to play against us. He'll be playing SPL football for hopefully the next 6 months (barring injuries and suspensions), hopefully he'll be able to find the form that he showed a couple of seasons ago and come back to Pittodrie a fitter and more confident player, ready to really push on and claim a first team place again.
The move is for 4 months and McGinn is out for 2 months.
Makes no sense to me what so ever.
-
Of course it is Calder Park that has been knocked back and not the stadium. I'm still to hear the reasons for this. I was under the impression that planning permission had already been granted until the Council Administration decided to hold their own vote on the matter.
Cove Rangers need a new ground if they are to progress anywhere in Scottish Football. The South of the city needs decent facilities. AFC need training facilities that are fit for a supposed top flight club in the 20th Century, never mind the 21st Century.
I can see lots of arguments about whether or not building the Stadium is a good idea but I fail to see any issue surrounding Calder Park. Therefore until proven otherwise it is council-wanks, Milne and afc -good guys.
-
Usual cup fare from us I suppose but this time we won.
Morton started well but after that we dominated the 1st half without creating much. Not sure I've been at a game where so many shots were blocked and even when Morton players didn't get in the way our own players did the job for them.
Rae had a great chance to score from a rebound but hit a weak shot that was easy for the keeper. Again Fraser looked dynamite and suffered a few kicks for his trouble.
Second half we were poor and they could have stolen it. Bit more banter however as swapped the cramped rather staid main stand for some terracing at the opposite side of the pitch at half time. Only a few dozen of us in there but made more noise than the few 100s at the other side of the pitch. The local teen-neds were the other side of the Police line which provided some entertainment but not as much as when 10 men went to mow reached 10, at which point the police freaked out and flooded the gap in fear of a full scale riot breaking out, fools.
Anyway injury time and fuck all happens till to simple goals wins it from Rae and Vernon.
Overall happy, not the best performance but a game we would have lost in previous seasons (as mentioned above when was the last time we won a game in extra time?)
Really missed Hughes when he came off in the 1st and strange there was no Milsom on the bench which meant that clown Clark came on, probably explains our shit 2nd half. Osbourne, Fraser, Rae all good.
Still confident about this season but perhaps shows just how shit Saints were on Saturday, but with a bit of luck in front of goal we should give someone a doing at some point.
Bring on the Jambos

I believe the gobshite in charge of the labour group used to be on involved with Cove rangers, got booted out and is now involved with Banks O Dee. Short sighted parochialism at its grandest.
I used to miss Aberdeen, I really did, but I have been awa now for about ten years, and with this utter shower in control (again), I am glad i pay no council tax to this contemptable bunch. Its like an abused wife continually returning to the abusive husband. Awful.
Cunts were kicked out for running the council into the ground, the snp/lib dems get the city finance back on an even keel and then the Labour lot are voted back in again to fuck the place up all over again. People are fucking idiots.
-
So, Labour have voted this out and are set upon binning the stadium too.
They got elected on a platform of ditching the UTG did they not? I've no idea where the agenda against Calder Park is coming from.
-
1-0 us, Anderson 47th min
Anderson likely to be rested as has a cut above his nose from Sat and Hayes has a slight knock.
Hope CB doesn't change things more than necessary as we need to build on Saturday. As great as it was it means nothing if we revert to type tonight or on Sunday. Yes it would be nice to give some lads a run out but throw them on in the 2nd half, don't mess up the starting line up.
-
Know a few Dons fans from the West who are not members of either. Would you want me to put this round them?
Absolutely, I've edited the original post to make it clear everyone is welcome, in fact we want as many Dandies to head along as possible.
-
A no to this kills off the stadium we've been planning for how many years because of a shared access road? GTF. Milne knows this is going to be voted against and is using it to cover up his failure to secure funding for the stadium.
Really?
What are the reasons for the council to consider blocking this?
