  1. Jim Spence stating todays DR story is bullshit (I'm not posting it as even by their standards it is unmitigated effluence) and also that afc are at the forefront of driving a No Vote to both SPL and Div 1 entry. JS is one of the few journos to come out with any credit in this whole affair. For once afc are doing the right thing which will make it hard to turn my back on them if the rest of scottish football bends over and spreads their cheeks. Remember this is the end game and media were always going to ratchet up the bullshit before any vote Have faith.
  2. I'm not. The fact the DST put out the statement they did reassures me afc want Seveco in Div3. They will vote against any reorganisation designed to parachute seveco into div1 and deny them entry to the SPL. edit: absolutely BB
  3. He also stated he still expects Seveco to get entry to Div 3 and no chance of Div1. And Jute, you are taking your cynicism too far with regards to Milne, I have no doubt afc want to see Seveco in Div3.
  4. Stewart Gilmour at a St Mirren shareholders meeting reportedly stated 5 spl clubs could go into admin if huns go to 3rd Div. Majority of sponsors have get-out clauses if huns leave spl, some will quit and take their money, others will renegotiate their sponsorship but claims been made the majority including Sky and Clydesdale Bank will pull out. Clauses were written into the contracts with a view to potential OF moves to England. St Mirren board's favoured option is Newco to Div1 and this view is now shared by majority of shareholders who were at the meeting. Seveco into SPL if signing ban, change to voting structure and league reconstruction. Div1 viewed as best option Div3 not viable. SG claims many SPL chairmen will be reconsidering their position given new financial implications. Larger meeting of St Mirren fans with their Board tomorrow. (taken from http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/forums/index.php/topic/34332-shareholders-meeting-re-newco/page__st__60) Regardless of how much of this is true, or otherwise, it is clear the spl is a stinking cesspit of self interest nearing on corruption. Perhaps afc would be better just getting the hell out of dodge and play in the Highland League. We are being told our game is completely reliant on the huns. This is utter bullshit but it would seem that perhaps there are 10 or 11 clubs that ARE reliant on the huns, namely the SPL. If following the rules means the end of these clubs (afc included) then nobody is to blame but those self same SPL clubs. SFL meeting tomorrow SPL meeting Wed 48hrs to save/kill Scottish Football. My increasing worry is that what the SPL/SFL/SFA/Press view as saving the game will kill it to us, and even more scarily what we view as saving the game may kill the top of the game.......perhaps
  5. SFL meeting tomorrow to "debate" the Rangers (sic) situation. Perhaps someone should email the sfl and point out: Rangers (deceased) have gone bust and don't exist. Everyone shuffles up one space in the league Then non-league clubs can apply for the spare 3rd Div place. If Seveco want to apply then they can put their business case before the SFL along with Cove, Spartans and who ever else. The 29 sfl clubs then vote and the club with the most votes enters SFL Division 3 for season 2012/13 Would sure save everyone some time and expenses, esp in this climate where 20 sfl clubs could go bust next week because a club they never play and make no money from may continue not to play them
  6. He stated that any newco must apply to the sfl as any other club would do. Unless you can think of any other club that has gone direct into any sfl other than 3rd Div then I'm quite happy accept he means they must enter the 3rd div. Furthermore DST have clearly had direct talks with afc and are explicit in their view that afc are against any proposal that sees Seveco entering anything other than Div3
  7. AFC Needs You ! DST applauds the follow-up statement issued by AFC on 28th June. Our discussions with AFC representatives have confirmed that the AFC board is unanimous in its continuing position to give sporting integrity priority over important financial considerations. DST fully endorses the Board’s position to vote against a Newco joining the SPL, and not to support the proposals, leaked last week, to parachute the Newco into Division 1, rather than applying the existing rules. The AFC stance is in accordance with the views of AFC supporters and is consistent with DST’s previous statements. However, DST is concerned that the supporters of other clubs are potentially being misled by their respective boards in that, despite communicating that the views of their supporters, and sporting integrity, are paramount, some boards are, in fact, seeking to support proposals that are contrary to their fans’ wishes, and their publicly stated positions. DST strongly encourages all supporters to request clarity from their board as a matter of urgency, given the various meetings taking place this week. DST supports some of the changes proposed last week where they will benefit Scottish football as a whole. However, DST does not support these changes being introduced, and rushed through, as an expedient solution for the benefit of just one team, where the team in question does not actually exist yet and, potentially, does not meet the criteria for admission to the league concerned. DST’s desire throughout this situation has been to see the applicable justice prevail and would remind the SPL that this was their stated position, as expressed by Neil Doncaster, earlier in this saga i.e. that the SPL would act without favour or prejudice, by applying the rules as they stand, as the only action they could take. With regard to AFC, DST has been heartened to note the recent positivity and goodwill emanating from supporters toward the club as such feelings have been missing in recent years. Whilst we respect the opinions of all supporters, and acknowledge that some AFC fans may cease attending matches were Newco to be seen to have been unfairly parachuted into Division 1, DST’s view is that it would be subsequently unfair to punish our club, for the actions of other clubs. Therefore, DST continues to encourage all AFC supporters, who reasonably can, to purchase season tickets, or just attend home games, and provide as much support as possible in these critical times for AFC, to capitalise on the current goodwill and togetherness. To that end, DST will be working with AFC to do all we can to make the Ross County game on 11th August a sell-out, as this would be a great signal to send that it is a “New Don” for AFC and everyone connected to the club.
  8. RTC Latest As well as the Smith interview mentioned I believe the Retard have similar stories from Traynor and Keevins including the latest bullshit that 20 SFL clubs will go bust without rangers
  9. If the bullshit that was released yesterday happens the fair enough, most of us will walk, but your actions seems more than a bit premature when there seems next to no chance of these proposals getting the support they need and especially when afc were the first to publicly state their opposition to them.
  10. Scotsman Poll http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/top-football-stories/rangers-newco-to-play-in-division-one-report-1-2381430
  11. In a rare bit of good news Chick was stuck on the train heading north to Glasgow that was delayed for 15hours due to landslides and floods and then went on fire near Lockerbie. Ha
  12. Someone said last night that UEFA intervened when the Italian League planned to only demote NewCo Fiorentina down one league. This intervention resulted in them competing in Seria C2 instead. If this is true, I trust UEFA will similarly slap down this contemptible bullshit coming from Hampden
  13. As I said on the other thread, this is pure cockwomble and, as I have stated in a further email to afc, if we get out of this bullshit the first thing to happen should be that prick getting told to fuck back off to where ever he came from. afc are clearly opposed to this but the collateral damage will see afc and several other clubs go to the wall. It seems I was wrong and you cynics were right, but at least our club is on the right side for once. It'll break my heart but if this comes to pass I'll never enter another spl ground, including Pittodrie.
  14. Once the dust settles the first thing the SPL clubs need to do is sack that cunt Cockwomble. His finger prints are all over this bullshit ( http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/108463-in-full-document-sent-to-sfl-clubs-to-put-rangers-into-the-first-division/ ). They then need to dissolve the SPL and its corrupt, self serving institution and start thinking about how to improve Scottish Football and not just the bank balances of the top 12 clubs. I still can't quite believe anyone will accept the utter cuntage that has been proposed but if they do, and despite afc clearly opposing it, my ST will be heading back to AB24 and I'm off to watch Polock
  15. Just got a reply from Dave McDermid. Should be on official site too although not checked:
  16. hmmmmm What fucking bollocks is this? Rangers (deceased) are being run by D&P and awaiting liquidation. Seveco or some such company owns Ibrox, Murray Park and the Albion Car Park. They are not affiliated to any footballing association, don't have enough players to enable them to complete one fixture never mind an entire seasons card and not members of any league. "trying to address the question of whether we are in a position to accommodate a solution to the Rangers F.C. scenario" is really very simple. They don't exist no more. Any newco can apply to the sfl to join the league. What is the need for any "document" and where do they get off heading their press release with patronising guff like "YOUR GAME–YOUR CLUB–YOUR FUTURE"
  17. If it wasn't for the huns attitude (support and corporate) this could have been sorted weeks ago. Instead the interminable delays, votes, deals no one will support and posturing from Bomber Brown and his band of lunatics means that as BB says we must be fast approaching the stage where they won't have a team at all. The SFA, SFL and SPL need to stop farting around as we need somebody coming into the 3rd div to make up the numbers and if it isn't Seveco then it's going to be unfair on which ever league the new club comes from to lose a prominent member a matter of days before their season starts. If these proposals are put through the game is dead and for that reason they won't see the light of day. Perhaps in 5yrs once we get league reconstruction and a pyramid structure Govan United 2012 can try and make there way from West Region Central District Division 2 up into the bright lights of the SFL.
  18. stv suggesting it I was correct in presuming this is just cockwomble pissing in the wind, but he also head help from Reagan and Longmuir. These three will hopefully be told to get tae fuck once the clubs have stopped laughing at their proposals:
