  1. Archibald Simpsons open at 0645 tomorrow for Breakfast (sit in or take out) for those heading on a bus to Hampden tommorrow
  2. Doors open 11am but there will be a queue and they tend to let folk in a few at at time.
  3. Well you're a bit of a cunt aren't you
  4. You'll need to be at the Clockwork early to get in.
  5. Would a NewCo get the players as well? Would they not have to sign players on new contracts, which would suggest a totally different team if in the 3rd div? Traynor on Sportsound was agreeing they should be demoted to the 3rd but suggested that Rangers fans shouldn't necessarily be against it as the team could grow gradually back into the SPL. In theory they could be back there in three seasons then in Europe the following season which is about the same period as a NewCo in the SPL.
  6. Rangers fans in "even dummer than I thought" shocker http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/303335-rangers-fans-group-threaten-away-boycott-if-spl-rule-changes-approved/
  7. No the Fighting Fund donated some money to Dunfermline. RFC (in admin) haven't settled any bill.
  8. So you're not joining the sweepstake on Saturday?
  9. You're my very own google manc
  10. Where could I find a print out or something so I can organise a sweep stake? (ie can't be arsed writing out names on bits of paper)
  11. Option added, not sure why I didn't originally as I suspect this is what the non-OF 10 are really aiming for. Allow NewCo in, address the democratic deficit and give NewCo some token punishment of 10pts and 75% cut. Of course if NewCo aren't allowed in then with only Celtic opposed they could change the rules anyway, but then I suppose there will be a few who are scared to lose TV and gate receipts in an SPL without Rangers.
  12. I'd prefer NewCo had to go cap in hand to the SFL but at the very least I would expect a 20-30pt deduction for 2-3 seasons and no European Football for the same length of time.
  13. I'm not. If Aberdeen voted against letting in NewCo but were out voted perhaps I would want to support aberdeen but withdraw my cash from all other spl grounds. Perhaps I would just go to cup games. Perhaps we would quit the league and join the sfl. There is no option for me in the poll
  14. Good argument and glad I read it. I would tend to agree with Tam's analysis over warelywoods but do recognise that his view is widely shared in our support. I am in favour of the move, although would like to see a new Station at Cove to help with travel. I can't see why travelling a mile or two to Cove should stop folk from watching Aberdeen, I travelled 150 miles to Glasgow and still go to watch Aberdeen, folk move around Aberdeen and the Shire all the time, does that stop them from travelling to Pittodrie? If folk really are so opposed to this why, other than the usual doric moan on the www, has there been no opposition to this?
  15. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20120411/aberdeen-scottish-cup-semi-finals_2212158_2731127 Sadly I don't remember any of these
  16. IF, and it's still far from certain, Rangers are liquidated and formed as a NewCo what is the very minimum you are willing to accept?
  17. No answers for me? Anyway copied from STV, edited highlights: http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/303288-the-spl-rangers-and-newco-analysis-of-the-proposed-rule-changes/ If you read the whole thing it does seem to indicate a tightening of the rules compared to what was already in existence and means any NewCo will have significantly more penalties if they opt for a share transfer, directly targeted at Rangers.
