  1. This game may well hinge on who we have fit. We desperately need width of some sort, even getting Jack back to fill in at RB. Midfield needs a shake up (well Hughes dropped) and we can't start with Fallon and Vernon upfront....... So expect 4 centre halfs, four central midfielders and Fallon and Vernon up top. They have a good recent record up here but on current form have been shipping goals, whether our ineffectual attack can take advantage of this time will tell. Anyhoo the usual stats run down: 10 Year Record vs St Johnstone at Pittodrie Stadium Poor record but not many games. Saints are undefeated in the last four at Pittodrie with a draw and three wins, which is even more impressive given they have only won a total of 11 games at Pittodrie. 2. Bit gutted for County and Saints last night, thought St J had beaten Hearts as we left the stadium only to hear they had equalised through a dodgy penalty in the last minute
  3. Figures that were posted previously for how SPL Income is distributed. Not sure, but presume this includes TV money: 1 - 4% + 13% = 17% 2 - 4% + 11% = 15% 3 - 4% + 5.5% = 9.5% 4 - 4% + 4.5% = 8.5% 5 - 4% + 4.0% = 8.0% 6 - 4% + 3.5% = 7.5% 7 - 4% + 3.0% = 7.0% 8 - 4% + 2.5% = 6.5% 9 - 4% + 2.0% = 6.0% 10 - 4% + 1.5% = 5.5% 11 - 4% + 1.0% = 5.0% 12 - 4% + 0.5% = 4.5%
  4. Really? I thought there was an even split eveyone got and then by position. Cup games etc are different with just those in the Live games getting extra cash.
  5. I wonder if Jack was pointing this out to Knox at training? I can't believe Hughes or Arnie would be any worse, but would probably let JAck have a go as he got a few decent corners in the other wk when he took over from Fyvie after he kicked the ball straight out, 10yds in front of him at a corner. Also new lad looked good but for some inexplicable reason was moved into the middle and then had high balls pumped at him (he is about 4ft tall). Him and Meginnson/Pawlett on the wings would bring a bit more excitement
  6. Good first half, they were pretty defensive and we were comfortable and deserving of our lead. Second half they came out to attack, as they had to, and really threatened. Stupid penalty to give away and they had atleast 3 brilliant chances to win the game. We were slow (which goes without saying) and second to most balls. Thankfully we picked up in the last 10mins while they tired and scored a good winner from one of our few threatening attacks of the second half. Three observations: 1) Fallon and Vernon up front doesn't work. 2) Hughes is fucking slow, repeatedly gives the ball away and wouldn't be any where near the team if we had a fully fit squad. 3) Fyvie should never take set pieces.
  7. Numbers were posted elsewhere a few wks ago, will try and look for them when I have a sec but money is split by league position not number of times on tv.
  8. Is Whyte's plan not predicated on a Rangers 2012 being automatically accepted back into the SPL because "scottish football will be dead without rangers"? Or will the HMRC allow then to do a Motherwell/Dundee and pay 2p in the pound?
  9. Joan Collins and Yogi Hughes appointed as Director of Football and Manager at Livi. Safe to say never say that one coming, and where exactly are they getting the cash to fund this?
  10. He might stay if we offer more money, which we won't, so he won't.
  11. Interesting article, bit long so won't post it all on here other than the last section: http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/02/13/rangers-administration-cva-nae-chance/
  12. Just watched Panorama about the American poor. My god that country is fucked up.
  13. Indeed, even if they get a points deduction, they finish 2nd. Even if they miss out in Europe it will likely only be one tie given the shocking nature of their squad. It's probably enough to know that they are not only scum but cheats in the same vain as Motherwell, Dundee, Gretna and Livi
  14. Their bigger worry will be Europe: http://m.stv.tv/sport/football/scottish-premier/rangers/277010-what-happens-when-a-football-club-goes-into-administration/
  15. In/Out: In Pre-Match: Racing down the M74 to get there for kick off Match: Away Stand Post-Match: back to Glasgow Prediction: QotS 0-2 Dons
  16. Much better than the last 2 games vs Hibs but that wasn't much of comparison. Same old problem of lack of creativity and playing Vernon up front by himself was a waste of time and predictably negative. Said after the first few games this season most matches would finish 1-0, 0-0 or 0-1 and that has never been more certain than the last month or two. Hopefully being hard to beat means we have a bit of a chance in the cup but on current form we will draw too many games to get into the top6. With most of our team here next year we have the basis of a good side, we just need to hope Brown brings in some attacking flair to complement the solidity we have in the team. Also is Hughes unfit or just poor at the moment?
