  1. Poor Sibir Novosibirsk whoever they are
  2. wow never realised Jess was in the top 10. Mackie in the top 12.....what can you say
  3. How much of the money "rolling into the city" actually makes its way to the Council Chambers? Has Aberdeen not suffered due to its prosperity, in that other areas of Scotland that are more deprived have benefited from Central Govt and European Grants at the expense of Aberdeen? Also if the council go ahead with this they do get access to a lot of money that doesn't exist but it will limit their ability to access similar money in the future from the same source(s)
  4. Riordan apparently set to join these guys after being club-less since quitting some Chinese mob in November. Playing in bounce game against der hun today.

  6. Josh been told he can find himself another club if he wants apparently
  7. Win this and we go above Killie (although they will have a game in hand) 10 Year Record vs Killie at Pittodrie Played 18 Won 9 Drawn 5 Lost 4 For 30 Against 16 Last Killie Win 28th August 2010 Last 5 v Killie: 03 Dec 2011 Kilmarnock 2 - 0 Aberdeen SPL 4,367 17 Sep 2011 Aberdeen 2 - 2 Kilmarnock SPL 7,672 19 Feb 2011 Aberdeen 5 - 0 Kilmarnock SPL 7,371 27 Nov 2010 Kilmarnock 2 - 0 Aberdeen SPL 5,013 28 Aug 2010 Aberdeen 0 - 1 Kilmarnock SPL 11,287 Current Form Aberdeen: Played 6 Won 3 Draw 2 Lost 1 For 8 Against 6 Killie: Played 3 Won 3 Draw 1 Lost 2 For 7 Against 6 Aberdeen: WIN 2-1 Arabs (a) DRAW 0-0 Jambos (h) LOSS 1-2 ICT (a) WIN 1-0 Hibs (h) WIN 2-1 St J (a) DRAW 2-2 St M (h) Killie: WIN 2-1 St M (h) LOSS 0-2 St J (a) LOSS 1-2 Tims (a) DRAW 1-1 Arabs (h) WIN 2-0 Dons (h) WIN 1-0 Huns (h)
  8. I'm feeling bullish today
  9. Yeah just realised both Edinburgh sides at home and it's also the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield on that Saturday so absolutely no doubt one or both games will be shifted so makes sense for the TV to pick one of them
  10. Pick of the draw in what sense? Chance of shock - nah, big crowd - nah, two big sides coming together - nah I would say almost every game in the draw is a bigger game than ours
  11. Sky said they have 2 games in this round - presumably the OF again. Any idea if the bbc have a tie. Could see them picking up our game due to our last game against them but hopefully they go for the Hibs or Hearts games
  12. Was almost certain it was going to be. Delighted with the draw although I said that last time we played these guys. Hopefully some sensible pricing and a decent crowd (but doubt it)
  13. Rangers v Dundee Utd Tie of the round, good luck to the arabs Hearts v St Johnstone Tough tie for Hearts and means one of the better SPL sides will be out Aberdeen v Queen of the South Best draw we could have hoped for Inverness CT or Dunfermline v Celtic Easy celtic win but gets rid of another spl side St Mirren/Hamilton v Ross County Would have like a trip to Dingwall but would have been tough. Potential for a shock here Ayr Utd v Falkirk All 1st Division tie with Falkirk clear favourites Motherwell v Morton Easy win for well Hibs v Dundee or Kilmarnock Nice easy tie for Killie or Dundee
  14. I'll take that. Home game vs the worst side left in the tournament. Hopefully won't be moved for TV either, although given our last game against them I suppose it could be.
  15. Never even considered him. Suppose Martin Buchan was captain at quite a young age but not sure Jack is a leader on the park yet never mind captain material
  16. Oh and how good was it to see us in an away cup game coasting to an easy 4-0 win without really breaking sweat. More of the same please
  17. I can only apologise for the banter from the glasgow reds yesterday but Bob Holness would have been proud.....perhaps
  18. Well if they said it was going to be at Tyncastle then yes. I can't imagine that at any time in the last 10years that there would have been a significant difference in numbers. Largely an insipid draw. Hibs, Aberdeen, United, Rantic all away from home at lower league, and small grounds (Broadwood excepted). ST not valid in the main and in a lot of ties bigger side at home against shite opposition so not huge incentive to get down to the ground. In any case a fairer judgement would be to compare the crowds to average home crowds Hearts vs Auchinleck 8,895 (66% average crowd) Arbroath vs Rangers 5,895 (777% average crowd) Peterhead vs Celtic 4,505 (882% average crowd) Motherwell vs Queens Park 4,286 (74% average crowd) Forfar vs Aberdeen 3,747 (689% average crowd) Dundee vs Kilmarnock 3,446 (76% average crowd)) St Mirren vs Hamilton 3,091 (64% average crowd) Cowdenbeath vs Hibernian 2,670 (714% average crowd) Falkirk vs East Fife 2,475 (73% average crowd) St Johnstone vs Brechin 2,467 (67% average crowd) Partick vs Queen of the south 2,454 (98% average crowd) Airdrie Utd vs Dundee Utd 2,434 (277% average crowd) Inverness caley vs Dunfermline 1,601 (37% average crowd) Raith Rovers vs Morton 1,581 (76% average crowd) Ross County vs Stenhousemuir 1,421 (56% average crowd) Livingston vs Ayr United 932 ( 56% average crowd) So from that lot you could say average crowds are shite this year but that's hardly new or surprising. Only poorish crowds I would say are Livi and County - County always seem to have poor cup crowds but as they are doing so well you would have thought they would have got a few more folk in but how many Stenny fans will have travelled? - and the ICT crowd but again who wants to go see ICT v Dunfermline for one of 5 meetings this season. Dundee game would have had another 2-3000 if it wasn't on TV while if hibs had been any good recently they would have taken a few more but still reasonable attendances.
  19. From my brother-in-law who is a Wednesday fan, although admittedly lives north of Glasgow now so doesn't see much of his team these days:
