  1. Anyone any idea about pubs? Plough has been suggested but is right next to Station park so will be rammed. Others suggested to me by a loon from Kirriemuir (non fitba fan) are Oz, Troopers and Zoar. Anyone heard of them?
  2. Apparently afc said Shaughnessy and Low could play but the Forfar manager has decided not to play them "in case the did something to damage the dons" which would be "unfair" eh?
  3. Only 4 competitive games against the Loons listed on afc heritage, never lost competitively and last played them in 1923, can't be many sides we haven't played in that time: EDIT afc heritage missed this seasons and other friendlys 16 Jul 2011 Forfar 0-3 Aberdeen Friendly 29 Jul 2003 Forfar 2 - 1 Aberdeen Friendly 21 Apr 1987 Forfar Athletic 0 - 4 Aberdeen Friendly 0 20 Nov 1984 Forfar Athletic 1 - 2 Aberdeen Friendly 2,168 11 Oct 1971 Forfar Athletic 0 - 3 Aberdeen Friendly 0 13 Jan 1923 Aberdeen 1 - 0 Forfar Scottish Cup R1 13,000 25 Feb 1911 Aberdeen 6 - 0 Forfar Scottish Cup QF 10,000 12 Dec 1903 Forfar 2 - 6 Aberdeen Northern League 2,000 31 Oct 1903 Aberdeen 3 - 1 Forfar Northern League 4,000 In/Oot: In Pre-match: Party bus from the weeg then some pub, perhaps the ?plough Match: terracing somewhere, covered if raining, open terrace behind the goal if not Post-match: Party bus back to the weeg Prediction: Not to fuck up for a change Crowd: wet
  4. In answer to my original question (in case Kow logs on). Apparently on stage 2045 with a 2hr set including quite a few from Xtrmntr :intheclub: :intheclub:
  5. Any idea of any support act or when Primal Scream will be on stage? Will we get a greatest hits set as well?
  6. This isn't right is it? (apologies for linkage to hun site) http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20111227/gers-in-stv-agreement_2254024_2559000 Also http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/greenslade/2011/dec/28/stv-group-rangers?fb_action_ids=311334718898307&fb_action_types=news.reads&fb_source=other_multiline
  7. Weather ruined what could have been a decent game, and wasn't actually too shabby especially first half. Having said that we both had one clear chance each and that was about it for goalscoring opportunities: for us a fallon header from a good move that he should really have buried and for them a one-on-one where Brown came out and closed down the lad well. Not much more report other than special mention to the kids at the back left of the the stand for trying to get behind the team and create some atmosphere. Shame they then resorted to booing Mackie and fighting amongst themselves, with punches being thrown. Clever. Finally why the hell was this game on a Wed night? Should have been a 3pm KO on one of the bank holidays. Hearts had a good support up but I reckon afc lost out on another 2-3,000 punters in the home end due to the scheduling and then the weather hardly helped.
  8. Amazed Cav win by so much, didn't credit the British public with the ability or knowledge:
  9. I'm not sure if it was better when the bbc actually had sport to show but it's been like this for years. Would never have predicted that my hoped for top three would actually be voted in by the British public. Correct winner I think.
  10. Got be Cavendish for me. Staggering performance this year and probably one of the best sprinters ever in world of cycling. Apart from him Darren Clarke for his Open win and unlike the other two golfers probably won't have another shot at it. Also Mo Farrah for over coming the Africans and winning Britain's first middle distance gold in a generation.
  11. Is currently in Kelvingrove Museum, previously was in, I think, The Museum of Religious Art (or something like that) out by GRI and the Cathedral.
  12. So we should let the Police beat folk up and kill them, and let citizens take the law into their own hands?
  13. I'm sure it did. Some South American or maybe Asian game. I'm sure it will be on here somewhere if anyone can be arsed looking
  14. Apparently St Maarten in the caribbean from the thread I stole it from
